My VE 2010 SIDI Wagon has been Misbehavin, Stalled while idiling last night after long drive home from work carrying 250kg tools + materials etc.

Threw a stability control fault on dash followed by See Dealer. Wouldn't crank when I turned the key, still had all electronics inside the car and dash nothing from the engine though. Fuel gauge read Empty when I had half a tank in her.

Unhooked battery waited 15 mins reattached battery she started and I drove it today to mechanics and got these scan results this morning. Drove it to Repco started her up now check engine warning. Still drives, Engine isn't overheating as such but mechanic said engine could be getting too warm messing with electrics but couldn't pin point it.

Any Ideas?

Hi i don’t normally make reddit posts like at all but i thought i would try here because idk what to do.

My sister bought this car about like 3 months ago and wants to do a mock up for it, when she first bought it, it had a injecter stuck open and basically all the fuel was in the oil, we’ve changed the injectors spark plugs and basically everything in between and put a new battery in it, she got the rego for it a couple weeks ago, and now the stability control light has come on and the car will start to shake every now and then especially when it idles for a bit, i know we’ll probably have to change the spark plugs again soon and we’re changing the oil very soon because of the amount of fuel that was in there, there’s most probably still residue in the system. but we’re just confused as to why it would come on and after idle the car will be shaky after a bit.

hoping some of you have had the same issue and know the fix/ problem just hoping it doesn’t need a whole engine rebuild or nuthin like that..

Hey guys, don't normally make reddit posts but thought id try my luck here seeing what people have to say.

I want to preface the below by advising that I am in no way a mechanic or technical with vehicles at all (I suck with them tbh)

I own a 2013 Holden VE station wagon and the car engine temp warning light came on while returning home from school drop off.

Popped the hood and decided to pop some water in it just to see if it was low and it seems to be pissing out as soon as I put it in.

Mechanic mate says it could be due to the water pump but I'm not sure as its leaking almost immediately after putting it in.

Any thoughts?

Just came across a pic i took back in the 90's. Its kinda funny cause back in the 80's/ 90's this type of pic with these type of cars wasn't anything really special (where i grew up back in the day there was a house with a driveway stacked like this on every second street) but for obvious reasons it's just something you rarely see anymore , kinda miss those days

Me personally, I own a VF SV6 I love its:

1. Efficiency when needed, and performance when wanted

2. Practicality for daily use and driving friends

3. Makes me feel very patriotic 🇦🇺

4. Cheapish parts compared to other euro counterparts

5. I like how handles suspension-wise

6. Steering feels great compared to the other cars I've driven

The only reasons I'd ever want to get a new car is so its better for when I go camping and so I can go 4WDing, however I still go camping regularly in my VF and 99% of the fun driving on road makes up for missing out on a 4WD.

The back passenger side floor keeps flooding is this coming from behind the door cars ? I can’t see any water from the roof or maybe a channel somewhere on the car does anyone know?

I want to update my suspension setup; getting very mixed feedback on what is good/bad so coming here for some clarity. 99% street driving, doubt I'll ever go to the track or drags.

Currently pedders front struts (9985L & 9985R) with fe2 springs, stock rear shocks also on fe2 springs that are probably on the way out. I had to do the struts to get through rego. Stock 17" rims.

Generally, I want to lower the car a little, plus have some adjustability for bigger wheels (either 18s or 19s that can fit either ve/vf brembos or CTS-V's shipped from USA).

Some points to clarify:
[1] Coilovers vs struts/shocks/springs? Lots of conflicting advice here, some say coils are fantastic, some say they're too hard, I don't want to spend 4k+ for shockworks or another premium brand.

[2] Standard fe2 springs are not suited for the pedders 9985, the springs sit near the top of its stroke resulting in full bump travel but very little rebound travel and will rebound sharply over dips. Any thoughts?

[3] I'll probably do whiteline sway upgrade back and front. The front bar looks like it sits on top of the K-frame, is the only want to install to drop the k-frame (and motor/box etc)

The motivation to do this all at once is new pedders springs (2x front, 2x back) plus rear shocks come out to 1.3k and I see BC coilovers going for 1.5k. Not even sure if pedders is a good choice or not, the shop that did my rego installed the fronts, refused to use any other brand and refused to pass my roadworthy without it.

Hi everyone. Need some advice.

Awhile back I fitted an expensive exhaust, catback from a reputable company in Sydney.

It took 2 weeks to custom make it. When I got it fitted it was too low, under legal height, always scraped, was very droney, even with AFM turned off.

It was a custom 304 3inch stainless steel system.

Because my wife always drives the car it caused too many issues for her. Yes, she is an awesome driver.

So I went back to standard and sold it for a pittance.

Now what I want to do is just replace the rear mufflers with sports ones, just for a slight burble. Hate quiet V8's.

Any recommendations guys?
