Phase III Reading Order
Hi, I am just starting phase one after reading a bunch of other Star Wars novels and am planning out the phases. Just wondering if I can get some opinions on the order to read the last few novels in phase three. I can't decide whether to read Trials of the Jedi or Into the Light as the finale. I know one ends with a major final battle and the other is more of a character arc tie up. Just wondering what people think is best reading order.

It depends on how you read the rest of the phases. The best reading order is one that you used throughout your reading of phase 1 and 2. Changing it up for the last phase will ruin the experience for yourself.
How did you place the other books in the phase?

Into the Light has stories that continue in Trials. Idk why you’d read it first, especially considering it came out first

I like over thinking it. But there's only one I insist on. Read Midnight Horizon chapter 1-33. Then read Fallen Star. Then finish Midnight Horizon.

I get why, but Midnight Horizon is one of the more rough books as is. I read it after Fallen Star and that was perfectly fine for me as it makes you long for the moment it ties into the bigger narrative. That for me was also the time the plot had me hooked so the book became a bit better.

Finishing phase one with a DJO book is already rough as it is. At least this way Fallen Star can have its importance and DJO's last few chapters can be DLC rather than slogging through it in the wake of the devastation.

True, but the real finisher of phase I will always be the eye of the storm comic issues. Those are so good. And to be fair the ending of Midnight Horizon is also a good cliffhanger (IMO important) as it sets up Azlin Rell.

Absolutely, but those are more a preview of what's to come than a part of phase one.

Audible has a download feature. Granted, you'll need third party software if you want to work around the DRM.

Just read them in release order. There is no reason to overthink it.
