1. I have been reading since I was about 14 and writing for about as long but have yet to gain the courage to post anything.

2. I really enjoy both the twilight universe and the Hannibal one. I found similarities between the characters and dynamics as well as having always shipped charlisle!

I’m looking for fanfics where mainly Alana or Jack, but can be anyone, sees Will’s and Hannibal’s relationship and thinks it’s toxic or unhealthy in some way. The relationship could be actually toxic or the thought could come from the person being jealous or upset about the relationship existing at all.

Hello friends! Relatively new to the series, on my second rewatch, saw the movies, obsessed, yk the works.

I’m EXTREMELY picky with fanfiction and characterization of this series, so it’s hard to find ones that I’m looking for. People tend to do okay with Hannibal a decent chunk of the time, but struggle much more with Will. Or they do okay with both but struggle to write them together. I’m sure these stories are great, but it’s just not what I’m looking for at the moment!

I dislike when will is exclusively a victim, or the victim side of it is played up (but I enjoy the manipulative beat of their relationship). As my best friend put it: “they’re intellectual equals. The only reason that Hannibal had the upper hand was because Will was part of a game he didn’t know he was playing.” I’m fine with some more Will Manipulation(tm) so long as he gives as good as he gets/he’s very smart and quick to connect dots and whatnot.

EDIT: these are not all necessary!!! Mostly, I’m just looking for accurate characterization and plot beats that mirror the spirit of the show!

LOOKING FOR/PREFER:

•Rock solid characterization.

•au’s or canon divergents which could fit in line with canon setting. Modern, dark, etc. though historical is okay so long as the plot line is fresh!

This author just appeared out of obscurity, channeled god, dropped the Bible, then vanished imho (I am not religious except about the Hannibal tv series)

•Chimera of the chapel by bleakmidwinter — I loved their use of the tableaus and murders/will’s descent to darkness in this, though I felt the characterization wasn’t quite fitting what I wanted. There was a degree of absolute devotion and little doubt to Will’s perspective of Hannibal that didn’t fit quite right for the “intellectual equals” part my brain craves. But I had great fun with the “every time they have a domestic argument they try to kill each other” thing

•Each according to its kind by chaparral crown — I enjoyed this one immensely, but I did feel the characterization wasn’t quite where I’d hoped for my own tastes (but close), and would have preferred to read something a little darker

I read this a long time ago and have been looking for the fic on and off again for literal years now but I can't seem to find it. I'm worried that it's deleted but thought as a last hail mary to post here.

So the basic premise from what I remember is this:

Will wakes up in his house in Wolf trap, he stands up to go feed his dogs and notices that one of his legs has been amputated (by Hannibal). He doesn't call the cops or go to the hospital. He calls in sick to Jack without telling him what happened. When Hannibal learns that Will called in, he texts Will asking him if he's okay and later goes over to give him medical attention. They argue?? Reconcile?? I do remember that they end up making a plan to trick Jack and FBI, pretending that Will's leg was just amputated with Hannibal sleeping in bed next to him. I think it was vaguely set around season 2? Maybe season 1?

I've looked through all the relevant tags that I could think of but to no avail :/ If someone miraculously remembers this fic and has the link, I will forever be in your debt. Thanks :)

I cannot remember if it's post fall or an AU but the detail I remember very clearly is that after they shower Hannibal knelt down and started kissing/worshipping Will's stomach scar and he is very sorry that he did that to Will. I remember Will running his hands on Hannibal's hair and him thinking that when Hannibal gets like this from time to time and he just have to hold him and reassure him that they are okay and together now.

This fic is set in a gothic/regency au where wills family (royal) is in a financial struggle so to resolve it his father sets a arranged marriage between one of his sisters and a high status count hannibal lecter. Wanting to protect his sisters will dose small things to persuade them away from hannibal but in doing this will catches hannibals eye. for a good part of the fic hannibal is just teasing will for trying to protect his sisters and “punishes” him for being bratty.
smaller details I remember is alana being one of wills sisters, i read this fic around 2023 and everyone here is a adult 😭😭 i got asked that last time i posted about this

I'm pretty sure Will and Hannibal are already together but will is like really stressed and Hannibal offers age regression as a solution. Will is hesitant at first but comes to find it comforting. Hannibal has him in like victorian style dresses when he regresses and he has a little doll named Nancy. There's not that much plot tbh because it's just them at the house but at some point Hannibal does have other "Daddies" come over to admire Will and Anthony Dimmond comes in a chapter because he makes the dresses that Will wears. I love this fic and would love to read it again!

I think I've listened to most of the podfics available now, and a lot of amazing stories don't have one. It takes a lot of time, and some are better quality than others, taking more care to do editing and that kind of thing. I appreciate all of them.

But I'm wondering what the etiquette around creating new ones is? Do people reach out to the author first or do authors make it known that they'd like a podfic version of their story?

I've been considering making a couple just for personal use, to listen to on long drives or whatever. But then that made me wonder about sharing them if other people also wish there were more recordings of the stories out there. Hi everyone! i need help finding a hannigram fic.
From what I remember of the plot, will walks into a room at quantico/the academy, hannibal goes feral (maybe because of his smell), and Will runs and locks himself in another room (maybe a bathroom).
Hannibal’s then trying to break down the door and Alana is asking him to open the door, while Jack is on the phone with Will and maybe hands the phone to Hannibal. Eventually a janitor/security guard with keys comes and opens the door.

Okay there's this fic where for some reason Will and Hannibal fake date, I think I remember Will having a problem and Hannibal being one to suggest they fake date as a solution. However, as they fake date Will starts falling for Hannibal. And they are practically actually dating.

THE SCENE that makes this special, is where they are in bed postcoital and Will says something like "I wish this was real" and Hannibal replies something like "my dear this is real". It's very cute and fluffy.

I don't remember much else. I don't remember the length, whether it's multi chaptered (though I think it is). I just remember reading this a few years ago. I can't believe I haven't bookmarked this, or if I have, I just can't find it😭 Thanks in advance!
