Orlando Queue Re-Entry Process
We attended HHN this past weekend with a friend who needed to use the queue re-entry process, and I have to say, the experience was incredibly disappointing.
Our friend has had both knees replaced. He can walk around the park without a cane or walker, but he cannot stand in one place for extended periods. He also cannot easily lower himself to the ground or get back up, so sitting on the pavement isn't an option.
Guest Services explained that every house offered queue re-entry, allowing him and one companion to wait outside the queue while the rest of our party stood in line. That sounded like a reasonable accommodation.
Except there was one glaring problem...there was nowhere for him to sit at any of the houses.
How exactly is that accommodating someone whose disability prevents them from standing for extended periods?
The entire point of queue re-entry is to provide an alternative for guests who physically cannot tolerate a traditional queue. But if the alternative is simply standing somewhere else for the same amount of time, what has actually been accomplished?
Has anyone else experienced this with HHN's queue re-entry process? Is there something we missed, or is Universal genuinely offering a process that doesn't adequately accommodate guests who cannot stand for extended periods?
