I’m grateful to have the clean water i drink. The water in my bath. Watering my garden. The water in my backyard stream. The water in the ocean I get to live by. I’m grateful for water in all its many forms. I’m trying my best to not overuse it this precious resource. What a blessing to live on this earth 🌏 so much of which is water.

They are cute. ☺️ They are resident birds, meaning they are non-migratory, and stay to survive through the winter.
They keep warm by puffing up their feathers, making them even more adorable looking.
They cache food to collect throughout the winter, but are helped by feeders, so if you live in a place where Chickadees winter, consider a feeder and you might have your day blessed with this cutie visitor.

Grateful for the weather because it pushes me to go inward and reflect. Do some self work instead of going out and doing a bunch of things. Forces me to be intentional everyday and not waste time or energy doing whatever.

I recently started a new job that has really good insurance and I was able to go to the eye doctor for the first time in 4 years and get my glasses! As I was leaving with my new glasses I was overcome with gratitude.
Only a year ago I was homeless, jobless, carless and addicted. My brother (who I am also incredibly grateful for) helped me get to rehab and then sober living and then back home over the period of about 9 months.
I was able to get the decently paying job with great insurance. He helped me get a car. He also bought a rental property that I’m now living in and paying for.
Every day I wake up and I can’t believe this is my life! I have a nice little house, a job that I like, a car to get there, food in the fridge, family that loves me, my dog, a fiancé that I adore, glasses so I can SEE! The list goes on and on.
Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with gratitude that I cry. I don’t know what I did to deserve this but I will do everything in my power to keep it.

Tw: mentions of self harm urges.
Last night I was really about to, but I managed to hold it off and I'm posting this as proof for myself that it was in fact a big deal that I stopped myself, and that I can do it again. I'm grateful for random people on reddit who post about how to deal with urges <3

Have you ever been praying for something and that prayer seemed unheard?
I had this one thing that I keep praying for, which is to have a job or at least a source of income.
And I kept applying for both online and local jobs since 2024 up to now, but I only got several rejections. I cried but I had to keep going.
Then on the early week of this October, I received an email from an online site, that I remember, I applied to way back 2024. They're asking if I wanted to continue my application to them.
I immediately started the tests they're requiring. Thank you to our Merciful God, I passed!
Finally, I was crying because of joy, not because of pain from rejections.
Indeed, there's a living God above. 💛🥲😊

Grateful for this blessed day and the care that surrounds me: for the gift of health, the warmth of friendship, the depth of love, the nurturing of my mother, and the strength of family.

No matter what's going on I can hop on my bike and it will take me to new vistas, or familiar places, usually to new people and dog faces too. Pedaling is freedom. Thank you.

Gratitude Practice Day 16/28

Yesterday I saw a video on social media with contrasting footage from kids suffering from hunger in developing nations and wasteful social media stunts from privileged people. It was such a harsh reminder of how lucky I am. I immediately shifted into gratitude for the basics - a roof over my head, plenty of food and water, and a family who is my safety net as I deal with health challenges. Sometimes you can forget how good you have it simply by being afforded the basics every human deserves. I also made a small donation to UNICEF because I was feeling such heartbreak over others misfortune. I make frequent micro donations to causes and orgs I care about and encourage others to do the same. Obviously if you have a lot then maybe give more, but my point is even those with tight budgets can donate $20 here and there. And if you’re struggling to get by yourself, I hope you can benefit from others support.
