Troubleshooting Low audio volume when using Bluetooth headphones/earphones on TCL 65Q6CS (Volume is at 80-90%)
Hi everyone,
I am using a TCL 65Q6CS Google TV, and I'm facing a frustrating issue with Bluetooth audio. Whenever I connect my Bluetooth headphones or earphones, the output sound is extremely low. I have to push the volume level all the way up to 80-90% just to get a reasonably audible and decent sound level.
Has anyone else experienced this issue on this model? What is typically causing this volume mismatch between the TV and Bluetooth audio devices, and is there any way to fix or increase the volume output?
Any advice, hidden menu settings, or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is often down to Bluetooth "absolute volume" handling rather than a faulty headset. First check whether your headphones have their own volume level, since some earbuds sit quiet until you raise it on the headphones too. Then enable Developer options (Settings > System > About, tap the build number 7 times) and look for "Disable absolute volume"; toggling it changes how the TV and headphones scale volume, though results vary by model and headphones. If that doesn't help, the aptX dongle mentioned above is a reasonable fallback.

This also happens with my TV; I think it's a limitation of all TCL TVs. Maybe they use low-quality Bluetooth codecs for audio
