Another thought; are the Anziati climbing to the top of the rollercoaster to perform reconnaissance and later fighting the Chaffees on its slopes a reference to the Alpini, Italy's mountain troops? The oldest dedicated mountain troops in the world incidentally.

In this panoramic shot, we get to see all the areas that will feature in the final 20 minutes of the film. It's impressive.
Trying to make sense of it however as I proceed with Flower... The hardest part of writing these Sensha-do battles is trying to keep track of everything and there's so much that's going to happen here.

Not helping matters is that the subtitles on my copy of the film are... Not good. Chi-ha-tan are assigned to guard the western entrance and St Gloriana the eastern. But the subtitles refer to Chi-ha-tan's position as both east and west. And the entrances aren't positioned west-east as we see here but rather south-west and north-east so I took ten minutes just trying to identify everything.

When I was sixteen, I could write sword-and-sorcery battles featuring tens of thousands. I could keep track of the movements of 12 legions, Norsemen, lizard-warriors, undead corpses and werewolves all in my head. Now I'm thirty-six... Less said the better. I have six Wordpad notes open on my laptop right now to keep key information.

Sadly TOG 2 is not legal for tankery as while a prototype was built, the proper gun was not fitted only a place holder and so the tank is technically incomplete. Shame as I would love to see this glorious machine go against kuromorimine's Maus.
