Guys.. I want to know whether it is used for black magic

• Upvotes

Hello guys.. So this happened with me around November 2024, after Diwali. I was a bachelor and staying in a 2bhk rented apartment with my office colleague in Wagholi, Pune. So after Diwali, I spotted a small earthen lamp (diya) with rice and a burnt cotton wick placed in hallroom. I asked my roommate she denied having any idea about the same since the diya contained rice in place of oil. But after a few days she admits that her father had placed it for good luck and all (while I was away at home and her parents had came to visit). But soon after that I felt a presence of negative entity inside home to a point where I would not be able to sleep as I felt someone was touching me (kind a tactile sensation) if incase I falled asleep would wakeup at odd hours (inbetween 2pm to 3pm) all sweaty and my heart pounding at a racing speed. After sunset I could feel the presence of a dark tall figure moving around. Since I was experiencing this issue I called my parents to come and stay with me for few days. After arrival of my parents withing 2 days we found the above (see image) metallic thing near the balcony and I asked my roommate whether she knows about it. She denied at first and later informed me that the metallic figure was part of her dress and it got broken when washed by her maid and she kept it nearby our balcony. I never believed what my roommate said as I have never seen her wearing such a dress whole time. Within few days things escalated were my mom also started feeling presence of some negative entity during afternoon time inside the apartment. My parents made me shift from the apartment soon. Guys do you think the above metallic piece is part of any black magic since it has some inscriptions in unknown language.

Screaming at 9:30 at night, not a joke...

This all happend last night on 25 of October. I had just finished watching a movie with my family, and we me and my sister were gonna go to bed. So we tucked ourselves in and said goodnight to our parents.

I looked at my ceiling and closed my eyes, hoping to just fall asleep because I was so tired from sports that happend that day. But then, I heard screaming coming from the window at the end of my bed. Not a kid scream, not a argumentive scream. It sounded like a grown woman screaming her lungs out.

I sat there in my bed, horrified. I heard this 3 or 4 more times, before calling my mom into the room. As she walked down the hall, I stared out the window, looking around trying to find the source. My mom got to the room and looked out the window with me. Then we saw our neighbors looking out the window too, like they might have a heard it aswell.

My mom thought it was just an argument taking place or a movie that someone was watching with there windows open. She also said It might be coming from our neighbors, but It sounded like it was far away. I refused to believe that, but I was still scared. My mom then left the room, thinking there was nothing to worry about.

So I sat there in my room staring out the window, waiting for another scream, but nothing happend. Maybe unrelated but, after that I heard lots of dogs barking, like 3 of them. I dont know if it was just plain barking or it was at something. I sat back down and rested in my bed for a while. Nothing, no screams, no nothing. I turned over and closed my eyes, trying not to think about what just happened.

Well, thats it, thats my story. I still dont really know what was taking place that night but, if anyone has any questions, I will try to answer every one truthfully.

Something is living in my closet.

A few years ago, I inherited my grandmother’s bedroom, the room she died in. Despite everyone telling me it would drive them crazy to sleep in the same room their loved one died in, it never bothered me all that much. I was very close to my grandmother, I felt lucky that I could surround myself with all of her belongings, sleep in the room I associated with her.

Only a few days after I’d moved all of my stuff in and gotten comfortable, things changed. I didn’t want to admit it, but something was bugging me. I couldn’t shake this newfound paranoia. It felt like a pair of eyes watching you from across the room, piercing the back of your head.

As much as I tried to ignore it, it progressed, it grew.

On a Wednesday night, long after I lied down and attempted to fall asleep, a soft thump jolted me out of my makeshift cocoon. It was immediately followed by several others, soft taps and thumps, all coming from the direction of my closet. It’s something I was never brave enough to fully conquer when I moved in.

Another thump, this time more urgent. It had me jumping out of bed, standing stiffly in the dark. I watched with wide eyes as the door rattled, a soft groan coming from within.

I thought to run, but couldn’t bring myself to move. I felt stranded, out of my depth.

Before I could force my legs to start moving, the door crashed onto the ground, rattling my bones. I looked down with wide eyes, finding familiar blue ones staring back at me.

It can’t be, right?

Her hair was sparse and thin, bones nearly poking out of her patchy skin. The skin itself was unrecognizable, blue and purple blotches. The face that once brought me so much comfort and ease, the face I never thought I’d see again, was now staring back at me once more. Only this time it was half decomposing.

Has anyone with psychopathic traits ever experienced paranormal activity?

I'm curious whether anyone who has psychopathic traits, or identifies as a psychopath, has ever experienced something paranormal, such as seeing a ghost, encountering a seemingly supernatural entity, or experiencing an unexplained phenomenon.

I'm specifically interested in people who have never murdered anyone or committed violent crimes. I'm wondering whether anyone with these traits has had a paranormal experience and, if so, how they reacted to it.

Did you feel fear, remain calm, or react differently than you expected?

I'd be interested in hearing about your personal experiences or any accounts you've come across.

The Man Over My Bed

When I was twenty-four, my birthmother found me. She told me I was conceived when she was only fifteen. Her parents had quietly moved her away to carry out the pregnancy in secret, forcing her to give me up at birth. Nobody from her hometown ever knew I existed—not even my father. My birthmother never spoke of him, and I chose not to push her for answers.

Then, twenty-three years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night. My wife was asleep beside me. Hovering directly over me in the dark was a man.

He was a solid figure, so clear that I could see his face perfectly. His eyes peered deeply into mine. It looked as if he was straining to speak, desperately trying to pull out words that just wouldn't come. Terrified—not knowing if he was a ghost or an intruder—I screamed. The moment my wife sat up, he vanished into a bright flash of white light that she saw, too. I had never seen that face before in my life. I never forgot it.

Ten years ago, the Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo, came to Canada on tour. My wife and mother-in-law wanted to go, so we got tickets. The arena was packed to capacity—far too full for her to read everyone. Over the course of the night, she only read five people. I was the third.

During her second reading, Theresa suddenly threw up her hands, looking visibly frustrated. She announced that a spirit was desperately and rudely demanding her attention, breaking her concentration. She began walking across the arena floor, heading right in my general direction.

All of a sudden, I felt a heavy, disembodied hand grip my shoulder.

As I snapped my focus back forward, Theresa was right there. She looked directly over my shoulder and handed me a microphone. Suddenly, my face was projected onto the arena's big screens; it felt like everyone in my town was staring right at me.

Theresa asked, "Do you know who this man is?"

"No," I replied.

"This is your father," she said. "He never knew about you until he passed away. Ever since he crossed over, he has been right next to you, trying to let you know that he knows." She told me his name was Guy.

Through her, he began listing things no stranger could possibly know. “I was there when you won the fishing derby,” he said. “I was there when you were hurt and I sent a man to your room.” Then, he told me he was proud of me for the father I had become. They were all exact, true events from my life. Tears welled up in my eyes. He was proud of me.

When I got home that night, I called my birthmother immediately and explained everything that had happened at the show. Then, I told her his name: Guy.

The line went completely dead. She hung up on me, and we never spoke of him again.

Seven years ago, my wife and I divorced. I fell into a severe depression. Seeing my pain, my birthmother finally decided to point me toward my father. She sent me a Facebook link to one of my dad's old friends. That friend, in turn, connected me on Facebook with my dad's nephew, Jim.

I messaged Jim, explaining who I was, where I was conceived, who my mother was, and that I had been told Guy might be my father. Jim replied that Guy was his uncle, and that Guy had actually raised him. He told me his uncle had died a bachelor and had never mentioned having a child. Respecting his memory, I didn’t push any further.

Fifteen minutes later, Jim messaged me back. He said he had gone through my Facebook photos, and the family resemblance was undeniable.

We ended up speaking at great length. At the end of our conversation, he typed out a message and attached a file. It was a photo of his uncle.

As the image loaded, absolute chills ran down my spine. Staring back at me from the screen was the exact same face that had hovered over my bed twenty-three years ago.

Ghost sighting 👻

Couple years back we went to a family members apartment for thanksgiving.. three adults, one 16 year old, 2 under ten years old..
My fiancés sister left to go drop off dinner for a friends while we packed up for our several hour drive home.. it was a long weekend, we were all exhausted and still full from dinner the night before.
She had been a while visiting her friend and we weren’t going to leave without saying goodbye to her. So my fiancé and I decided to take a cat nap on the couch while the kids played in their rooms…
It’s a small apartment.. the front door entrance faced into the living room, the door swung open to the left coming in and would be parallel to the wall that went straight through the living room to the sliding glass doors to the back patio. The right was the beginning of the hall that lead to the bedrooms and bathroom.
On the other side of the hall is where the sectional couch sat on the other side..
My fiancé was laying down, I laid on top of him with my head facing the glass doors. I dozed on and off, and after a while I was staring at the dark glass doors as the sun had set, and the trees blocked the street lights from passing through.
With the hall light on I could see all the details of the walls, the way the Jesus on a cross was hung above the front door, and the jumbled mess of coats on the hooks against the shared wall of the apartment..
What I didn’t expect to see was a tall thin man, walk from down the hall to the front door and disappear through what could only be the shared wall.
I could not make out many details, just that he was wearing a hat, a coat, and was walking like he was on a mission to be somewhere.
We’ve been there quite a few times before they moved, and that was my only sighting of him, I did feel like someone was walking with me a few times from the bathroom to the kitchen.
We did a small seance once and I felt hands on my shoulders, my arms filled with goose bumps and the hair on the back of my neck stood up.. like a tingly feelings.. not bad energy just a different unknown energy behind me ready to speak.
They didn’t tell us much, just that they liked watching the kids grow up and to watch out for a neighbor that wished ill upon this family.. that’s a whole different story of drama I am not going to get into..

My sister and I are wanting to start a podcast, she is very skeptical and doesn’t believe in ghosts or anything of the sort. I love it all, and I’m so intrigued!
If you want to share your stories I’d love to talk about them on the Pod with permission :) and let me know if you have any helpful tips or thoughts you’d like to share!

Haunting My Childhood Paranormal Experience.

Hi, I've been wanting to share my paranormal story for a long time, and I never got a chance to tell anyone about my experience with the paranormal. For the longest time, I've always been fascinated by the paranormal and horror stories but I think it's because of the creepy things I experienced as a kid. But today I would like to tell my paranormal experience, and I would like to know if anyone has ever experienced anything similar, or what kind of phenomenon I could have experienced as a kid, or what it was that haunted me.

I'm 28 years old today and my story goes back 20 years ago when I was just an 8-year-old kid. I was in my bedroom and I remember waking up in the middle of the night when all my family was gone and I was left at home by myself, and I remember somebody calling for me in the middle of the night. “Cody Come here, I want to tell you something.” The voice sounded exactly like my mother's voice. I remember saying “What is it? “ What do you want?” I thought it was just my mom missing with me, but the voice called for me again. “Cody, come down here I want to show you something.” I remember saying, “What is it?” I ran down staires and nobody was there and all of my family was gone and it was just me. It gave me the chills to this day that the voice sounded exactly like my Mom’s and it just made me wonder if it had something sinister planned for me. A few nights after that I remember my mom telling me that I sleptwalked downstairs one night screaming at her for no reason and she told me I ran downstairs like I was possessed and I wasn't myself, and I was crying and screaming but I didn't know why and I had no memory of doing it.

Four years later, when I was 11 years old I ended up moving to another house and things were normal after that. But one night, I remember waking up in the middle of the night again to go downstairs to use the bathroom. When I came downstairs I heard someone in the kitchen walking and pasting back and forth and it sounded like a man in the kitchen. I thought it was my grandfather, but I thought it would be very odd for him to be pasting back and forth in the dark. But when I peeked in the kitchen to see who was there I could see nobody, but I could hear someone walking and whispering in a voice that I couldn't understand like it was speaking in another language. It kept walking and pasting back and forth and it creeped me out because I couldn't see anybody in there, so I decided to sneak back upstairs to forget about what I saw. But the next night it gets even creepier. I was upstairs asleep and I remember something waking me up again in the middle of the night and it was that same thing pasting back and forth next to my bed and I was terrified. It started making these weird whispering sounds in another language and started walking back and forth next to my bed. I was pretending to be asleep, but I believe it knew I was awake and terrified. So, it sat down next to me in my bed and I remember it grabbing my leg but when I looked up I remember seeing nothing, as if it was invisible. I remember violently screaming for my mom and she came running to my room to see what was wrong. After that night I got to a point where I was terrified to go to sleep. Other nights I started having nightmares about death and I started experiencing levitation in my bed where I would wake up fully awoke but I couldn't move or even blink my eyes and I started levitating 6 feet off my bed. I didn't know if it really happened or maybe it was just a nightmare. But one morning before I got up to get ready for school I remember my mother telling me she saw a very tall shadow person that looked like a man and she said it could have been around 7 feet tall watching me sleep and it disappeared as soon as she came into my room to get me up. For a while a I had a lot of nightmares about death and misfortune and I think it had something to do with that entity.

It seemed to have followed me to other houses when I was a teenager and I would wake up other nights hearing it walk around at night. But when I got into my 20s I haven't heard anything of it ever since then. I remember when I was a child I fought depression and I had anger problems when I was a kid, and I think a lot of that negative energy might have brought it into my life. I also believe it would feed on fear and negative energy and that's what attracted it. I think it was probably a poltergeist but what do you all think it could have been? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Moved into a new house

Hi, I recently purchased and moved into a new 130-year old home. It is within an historic district with blocks and blocks of old homes.

I was raised in a culture that believes in spirits and mystical happenings but sort of ignored it in my adult life. Basically, I’ve moved more than 10 times in the last 15 years and haven’t thought anywhere else was haunted.

The first night I moved in, about two weeks ago, a metal basket with toilet paper, flung from the top of the toilet, the second I turned my back, two separate times. It flung several feet away and had to go over the top of the sink somehow to arrive where it landed. It also was a very quick split second zing, no clatter as it hit things, or sliding on the floor once on it. Both times landed at my feet. I also had a strong electrical feeling in a spot by the bathroom for that night.

I decided to confront the possibility of a spirit. I told it I just moved in and I would take care of the house. I didn’t mean to bother it and explained that the cat box and baby gate were in the bathroom temporarily as I worked for a new location. I left food out and some coins the next day, as there are mines under the house and this is tradition for many cultures if the haunting is a miner.

The toilet paper hasn’t flung in two weeks since.

I’ve noticed some light knocking and footsteps a few times but I’ve considered this possible the sounds of an old house I’m not used to yet.

Last night I walked in the back door of the shotgun style house and saw what looked like the bottom half of something move out of my sight into the living room. I went to explore and immediately was hit with a strong electrical current that raised my skin. My goose bumps immediately flattened when I walked out of the spot. I walked in and out of it multiple times with the same reaction.

Then all of a sudden it was gone from the spot and I walked a few feet away to find the electrical spot there.

I am skeptical but I was also raised to believe. I know the toilet could have lurched throwing the basket but it did land in a really weird spot. I also know I could have spooked myself with the shadow and raised skin. But I will say that all of the experiences felt very powerful.

when I was a kid, I think a long dead murder suspect interrupted my phone call

This story starts around 2007, when I would of been about 14 years old. My family moved across NY to a small town in the western part of the state (around Buffalo is as much detail as I can give without worrying about being doxxed, as I still live in the same area). When I started school a few weeks after arriving, the other students didn't hesitate to inform me that the specific street I was now living on, was the sight of a brutal murder sometime in the late 1800`s. A mother and her teenage daughter were found strangled to death in their home. Over 100 years later, the killer was never identified and no motive was ever found. I thought maybe everyone at school was just trying to fuck around with the new kid. That is until I asked a teacher about it and they confirmed that yes, it was a real, documented murder that happened about half a mile from where my family no resided.

A couple nights later, I'm home alone while my parents are out shopping. I had been carrying an eerie, lingering feeling with me since the second I found out about my neighborhoods grizzly history. The wind was blowing outside and the windows rattled from the brisk autumn wind. I decided to pick up the landline phone in my house and call up my best friend from back home. We talked for a little bit about my new school, my new house, and probably whatever was going on in the world of WWE and video games at the time. I then brought up the subject of the murders down the street. I mentioned how no one knew who the killer was and we probably never will. Right as my friend started to respond, we both heard the same thing. A low, gruff voice saying something unintelligible. We both just kind of assumed it was the TV or something on each others end, or maybe some kind of interference from another call. My friend once again tried to respond to my story, when the gruff voice came back in, but this time loud enough to hear him clearly say......."We don't talk about that". We both went dead silent. All I could do is give a shaky "hello"? After a brief pause, the voice responded "Why do you want to talk about that"?

The tone of his voice wasn't really angry. He almost sounded sick and sad, speaking just above a loud whisper. I once again could only muster up "Hi, who is this"? Another brief second of silence, followed by the voice saying "Don't worry". My friend and I exchanged a nervous laugh, probably because we were both on the edge of peeing our pants. I slammed down the phone, and waited on the porch for my parents to get back. I don't know who that was on our call, but he certainly didn't want us discussing what we were discussing.

Haunting Paranormal Activity Advice

Apologies, this is going to be a long one.

EDIT: I have tried to halve it and cut out some of the stuff that has happened because it ended up being so long.

My friend and I are hoping someone can help us understand some strange activity that seems to be affecting several houses on our street. We have lived a few doors apart for more than a decade without experiencing anything particularly unusual. For simplicity, I’ll call mine House 2 and hers House 7.

It started shortly after I completely renovated my kitchen in early 2024. One night that March, I went to bed after switching every light off, only to see light suddenly appearing underneath my bedroom door – the hallway lights had somehow switched themselves back on. I was alone and initially thought someone had broken in, but there was nobody there and my father later checked the electrics without finding a fault. About a month later, while I was alone in the living room with my cats, I heard a loud noise from the kitchen and discovered that one of the kitchen chairs had moved about one or two metres across the room.

Things became increasingly unsettling over the following months. I constantly felt as though I was being watched, numerous of my chickens and fish died unexpectedly, sometimes with injuries I couldn’t explain, such as broken necks, and my previously healthy pond suddenly turned completely green which had never happened in the many years of having it. I also began hearing what sounded like people saying my name underneath the music whenever I wore my AirPods. One night in June, at around 2–3 AM, I saw what looked like the face of an old man watching me from my bathroom doorway. The following morning, I discovered that my 89-year-old neighbour in House 1 had died overnight. Weird coincidence.

Then, on 27 July, I saw an elderly man with short white hair and a beard looking over my back garden wall near the chicken pens. I know everyone with access to the alleyway behind our houses, but I didn’t recognise him and have never seen him since.

By August, I was also seeing shadowy figures around the house. After speaking to a psychic, I decided to smudge the house. While I was doing this, a heavy Victorian statue of Jesus that had belonged to my family since 1895 and had sat undisturbed on the same bookcase for many years suddenly fell off and broke in half. There were no open windows or obvious explanation for why it fell. Strangely, immediately afterwards everything stopped. The animal deaths stopped, the pond cleared within about 24 hours after being green for weeks, the voices stopped, and I stopped seeing shadows. For almost eighteen months, nothing happened.

Then, in January 2026, my friend in House 7 woke during sleep paralysis and saw a young girl sitting cross-legged on her bedroom floor and an old man leaning over her. She had never experienced anything like this before. Her description of the man reminded me of what I had seen, so we began researching the history of our houses.

This was when things became really strange. In 1921, my friend’s house was occupied by an elderly man called Joseph and his widowed daughter Minnie. Joseph had been a local councillor from 1886-1920 and a Worshipful Master of the local Masonic lodge. He died inside House 7 in 1925, aged 78, and his body was reportedly kept in the front room for several days before his funeral so people could pay their respects. Minnie later died in the same house in 1953, aged 76.

We then discovered that Joseph’s son and Minnie’s brother, Harry, had lived in my house. He was also a local councillor and a Worshipful Master of the local Masonic lodge and died suddenly inside House 2 in 1938, aged 59, despite having attended a public event the previous day. When I eventually found Harry’s photograph in an old newspaper, I immediately thought he looked like the elderly man I remembered seeing in 2024. We also discovered that a later resident of House 7, called Gwilym, had committed horrific offences against young girls, some apparently inside the house in the 1960s-1980s. He died in 1996, aged 77.

From early 2026 onwards, the strange activity gradually returned. I started waking at almost exactly 5 AM feeling watched, while my friend began feeling as though something was following her to and from work. One day she heard what sounded exactly like her mother calling her name from another room, and both of her dogs reacted to the voice, but her mother was actually upstairs asleep. My pond eventually turned green again and 17 of my 21 goldfish died within a few days despite the water testing normally and none of them showing any sins of illness. My four-year-old cat also died unexpectedly after becoming ill only days beforehand. My friend’s parents’ marriage also began to break down around this time and they have decided to get a divorce after several decades together and her grandmother’s (who lives only a few houses away) health also began to rapidly decline around this time. And a few weeks after that my friend’s father also suffered an unexpected serious stroke, although he has thankfully recovered.

By September, my friend’s dogs had started barking inexplicably during the night. Her mother once heard a man’s voice through their dog camera and assumed it was my friend’s father downstairs, only to discover that he had been asleep. Then my friend’s mother mentioned everything to a woman living between us in House 5.
Her response was: “Oh, they’ve come to see you now.”

She explained that she had experienced strange things when she first moved in, including objects disappearing, sudden cold spots and seeing a man in what looked like a long tailcoat standing at the top of her stairs. She had been so frightened by that encounter that she spent the night in a Travelodge. Her neighbour in House 6 had apparently also heard a man’s voice through her daughter’s baby monitor, sounding as though he was reading stories to her.

Even stranger, when the woman in House 5 had previously spoken to the person who lived there before her, the former resident apparently immediately said, “Oh, you’ve seen them then.” She described a man, sometimes a woman, and sometimes two men who supposedly moved between the houses from roughly House 2 to House 7, “checking” on them. She also claimed that major alterations to the houses sometimes seemed to provoke activity. That immediately brought us back to how everything started: my kitchen renovation.

It also made us think about Joseph, Harry and Minnie – a father, son and daughter; two men and a woman; all historically connected with houses along this same short stretch of road. Since then, the activity in my friend’s house has continued. Her dogs frequently react to things at night, she has experienced unexplained noises and sudden cold spots, a very heavy cupboard in her bedroom has apparently moved by itself twice, and on another occasion her father heard a locked inner front door apparently open by itself while everyone else was accounted for.

We obviously don’t know whether any of this is actually paranormal, but the part we find hardest to explain is that several neighbours apparently had similar stories before we ever told them what we had experienced. We wonder whether the man I saw could somehow be Harry, whether the old man my friend saw could be Joseph and whether the woman could be Minnie. We have also wondered whether the much darker incidents might be connected to Gwilym, although that is purely speculation.

We are considering trying the Estes Method and have also got a Ouija board, but we’re unsure whether deliberately trying to communicate with anything is a good idea. More than anything, we want to understand why this suddenly started after more than a decade of nothing – and why similar stories seem to stretch across several houses on the same street.

Has anyone experienced anything similar, particularly apparent activity involving several neighbouring houses? And is there anything sensible we can do to investigate it without potentially making things worse?

I have photos of Joseph and Harry that I found in some local newspaper archives and photos of the marks where furniture has moved, broken statue etc, but don't seem to be able to post photos to this for some reason - I've never posted on reddit before so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong.

Shadow Man, psychic energy and my great grandfather.

This is my first time posting in such a thread but I have been wanting to do so for a while. This is going to be a longer story of what has happened to me before and I apologise in advance if my English is not perfect (I did grow up bilingual but sometimes I make stupid mistakes).

For context and before we even start what happened to me a little background.
I grew up in a beautiful quite big family, we lived together in one house with three generations and until I was eight my childhood was as gorgeous as it could be. By the time I had turned six we had moved out and sold our family home and by the time I turned eight, as I said, things changed. My father left and my mother and I were alone. So, until then I was a fully „normal“ child. After that I had to fight Anxiety and Depression. My fears were so strong and until I was 12 I barely left the house without my mother. Around that time I started seeing them, the shadow man and the weeping girl. The shadow man would stand in corners and he was this absolute typical shadow man everyone describes. Tall, he even wore the hat. But bare in mind, at that point I had zero knowledge of anything paranormal or horror, I was eight. And some nights I saw the weeping girl. She would sit in corners, her head in her knees and crying but there was no noise. My mom had obviously gotten me a therapist right after the break up so I brought it up. My therapist assumed it had something to do with my anxiety and true to her word as the anxiety got better, the two didn’t appear as often. And when I say appear I mean at night but not when I was asleep, I was always awake.
But that is where it starts to become weird and why I have not written about it ever before, though years have passed. Whenever I speak of him, he appears. Either in a nightmare or I wake up and feel like he is watching me or I even see him in the corner of my eyes as I always did. I usually have to keep the apartment I know live in all alone completely bright, no tall enough dark corners for at least two nights and where it truly gets weird: He appears even though I am medicated. I take anxiety medication regularly and have some I am allowed to take whenever it gets too intense. Even under those…he is there. I just recently found out he does not appear when I write of him, so it can not be because I think of him. I must say nothing has ever happened, he would simply stand and watch as if making sure I was still there, but he terrifies me to the core. The weeping girl disappeared as I have gotten better. It is hard for me to make sense of him and though I am now a horror junkie and it barely even freaks me out anymore…He is the core to my anxiety, he appears and I am eight years old again. But before anyone asks, sometimes months and once even a year can pass without him.

Another story I would like to share that happened to me around the ages of 15-16.
My grandmother and her boyfriend moved out of the three generation house even before we did and moved into an old house near a stream. I loved this house. It was fun to explore and an absolute safespace of mine after the break up of my parents. They had only renovated the top floor, the bottom did have furniture but nobody lived there. They lived upstairs and above their apartment was only a not renovated attic, which was huge. The house was a old farmers house and had a barn across from it and attached to that and to a huge garage as tall as the roof was a shed connecting the two huge building. (It is hard for me to fully explain this but please bare with me). The barn didn’t belong to us so the doors to our side where shut and usually it was opened to the other side. This will become very important later, remember the layout. If its too hard to understand just remember: They are all connected in some way with each other.
My grandparents spent half of their year in the Netherlands where they had rented a small house, so they were gone often. In times like that I would take care of the plants in the garden for a small amount of extra pocket money. One time I was watering the plants and turned to see if I had forgotten any, to notice a shadow much looking like a man in the window of the master bedroom. I was scared but we lived in such a small village at that point my first thought was: Oh I must have left the door open, somebody probably thought my grandparents are back and just let themselves in. But then the fear hit me. Because what if it wasn’t.
I caused loads of problems at this point due to my mental health so I was not to keen on calling my mom for nothing nor on letting people steal everything inside. So I went upstairs with some type of spray cleaning thingy (I don’t know why…I even thought that was smart) and opened the door. I shouted: „Anyone here?! It’s just Leo, my grandparents aren’t back yet!“ No answer, absolute silent. At this point I was trembling and even shouted another „hello?!“ in such a typical Horrorfilm manner. Once more: Silence.
I gathered all my strength and went into my grandparents bedroom to see where the person was standing. I had the windows opened (my grandparents and especially my step grandfather was a chain smoker so whenever I had the chance I threw the windows open.) and well what to say? The room was fully empty. I was mad at myself and annoyed so I threw the window closed and accidentally knocked a picture down. I picked it back up and looked straight into the face of my great grandfather. And suddenly I felt calm. Utterly and as if under a spell calm. After a second I put the picture back where it was, finished my work and went home.
…A day later my grandmother called: My step grandfather had a very serious infection and for the next few months his life was truly on the line.
I spoke to my grandmother about what happened shortly after my step grandfather had gotten better and they were back home. She took my hands and smiled and said: „I always was a daddies girl….he was probably feeling something and looking out for me.“ To this day I believe I had seen my great grandfather in that window. He sensed something was going to happen but couldn’t find his daughter.
But why did I mention the layout? Now we come back to the part where I am nearly sure something truly is wrong with me and at the same time my family and I sometimes feel weirdly protected.
It is 2020, Covid hit and I had to care of my grandparents. While in quarantine I did have to walk to their house once a day, get groceries and grab wood for the fireplace, since my step grandfather obviously couldn’t anymore. So, it is a day in October and I am downstairs in the garage, behind me is the shed. I am grabbing as much wood as a 16 year old can somehow carry as I dead on stop in my tracks. I turn towards the shed and my stomach just twirls. Nothing is there but I feel like I need to throw up. I shrug it off, blame it on a random anxiety episode and go upstairs. Say bye to both of them after delivering the wood because Id be gone for the rest of the weekend to my fathers.
Around six hours later I receive the worst call I have ever received. „It looks as if it there is a fire at your grandparents house.“ parallel to that I receive messages of my best friend at the time who lived across saying the barn is on fire. I call my mother and her first words are: „Everyone is out and fine!“
The fire broke out in the shed probably due to the battery of a electric lawnmower. It was exactly in the shed I stared at and had such a sudden and weird feeling towards just earlier the day. My mother was there when a sudden explosion in the shed happened and she is the only reason my grandparents made it out, they wouldn’t have heard since they were at the other end of the house. Everyone survived. Now you may ask why Id say we were lucky? The fire broke out in the shed, working its way through the garage but then up to the roof and only burned the attic. Between the attic and the main living floor was only an old wooden door…It was completely Char Cole black on the side of the fire but completely fine on the other. Most of my grandparents stuff could be retrieved from the house, they could keep most of their belongings and nobody got hurt. That is why I believe we were so lucky. Yes, they lost the house because the damage due to the water of the firefighters were too big but even the cats made it out. Even the cows in the barn where fine. I never got over my trauma, still flinch at every phone call. Lost my safespace on that day, but thanks to whoever protected us, I did not lose my grandmother.

Lastly I want to add why I believe I am closer to the paranormal than others.
I tried tarot cards with my friends for the first time and it was just us three. Everything which was predicted by the cards happened. They warned me for example to not make any sudden decisions and yet I went to uni though I knew it wasn’t right. Lead to a long path of anxiety, dropping out etc. I am happy now but it was truly scary to realise. The second time I tried it once more it predicted a bright future in what I do now and well…I don’t necessarily have any honours yet but I am above the average of the usual students. I don’t want to say what happened to my friends, not my space.
I once did the ritual where you move a glass and it’s supposed to give you answers and my friend gave us perfect answers without being able to hear us but only whenever I said something.
Used the Quija board once (I know stupid) and it worked, tried it with a friend and I trust her since shes a worse sceptic than me. The board moved, the entity gave us answers etc. (Do not do that ever, since then my anxiety and my depression have gotten worse and I truly believe Ive been cursed after that.) My friend kept the board, shes fine.

So, this is all Ive got for now. Feel free to tell me what you think or what your opinion is and thank you for even listening.
Have a great day

Idk if I should be worried.

Hello! This is my first time posting here and I want some thoughts. Before I get into things I got some things to share.

Im a 20f leaving at home with my mother and stepfather. I’ve been seeing “things” my hole life, I’ve had encounters with things that I do and don’t remember. I have a BF who is also 20 and the same can be said about him. Me and my family live in Nova Scotia, Canada too if that helps with things. I have a Coraline door so to speak in my room, I live in a renovated addict space and the door leads to the rest of the space. Another thing, my mother use to be a ghost hunter.

My bf when he was a child would be woken up at night by a man in his room, we both think it’s the Hat Man but we can’t say for certain because the man my bf saw had a hatchet in his hand (this is important later). He would also sleep scream as a child not talk, but scream because of a nightmare that he was in.

On to what’s been happening here!

So me and my family moved into this house two years ago and we are on our third year of living here, when my parents bought this house there was a couple of bad omens here and there, dead bird, stuff like that. The old owners also said that it felt like the house was slowly killing them.

When they started renovating they saw and heard people walking around. When we moved it not much happened until winter hit(we moved in a week before Halloween).

The first year of living here, the Coraline door would open on its own only when my bf was in my room( I’ve seen it move closes and bags on one occasion), you could hear me walking up stair in the hallway or rooms, and or talking on the phone(doing silly voices) when I wasn’t home. It got to the point I would get a message from my mother asking when did I get home from my outing.

One night around 3am I was laying in bed with my Bf, he was asleep. I was reading and he started talking, he sleep talks a lot so I played along. He asked me who were the people in the room, I tried asking where they were in the room but he kept repeating himself until he woke up. He doesn’t remember this happening or the many times I brought it up.

The second year of living here I got an uneasy feeling about being home alone at night, and that it felt like someone was watching me. Like the year before tho things didn’t really start to pick up until the winter.

I got woken up at night daily, to weekly, to monthly by a man in a hat with a hatchet in his hand. Slowly getting closer to my bed(each night he would be a little bit closer) until the last time I saw him that winter he was almost on my bed. It was like he was bent over it. Each time I felt a sinking feeling or dread wash over me. I’d turn and try to go back to sleep. I wouldn’t say it’s was sleep paralysis because I could fully move and if I wanted to get up and walk away. Plus I don’t have a history of waking up in sleep paralysis.

Another thing, my Bf thinks whatever was waking him up at night and terrorizing him when he was a child became attached to me, and hooked on. We’ve been together for almost five years so it might be possible.

I didn’t think much after it happened, it was just another story to scare my friends with. Than this spring hit. I was staying three night out of the week at my bfs place, I was tired and I thought I’d worked. I drove to work finding out I didn’t. So I went home to see my family and hangout before I got back to my bf place. Me and my mother were talking and the topic of ghost came up. I mentioned how last winter I tried a ghost app on my phone but it didn’t work. She said there was one she likes(she doesn’t have her old equipment anymore) and that it might work.

I got it on my phone and start setting it up. As soon as it’s set up we hear something falling upstairs. We thought it was one of our husky until we looked at the door and saw one of them looking out the doors window, the other i was petting. So my mother went upstairs to check it out. As soon as she left, my phone said “Billy”. When She got up the stairs she yelled. So I followed to see what happened.

A curtain rod had been thrown across the hallway, my phone was still on and it started asking if I was sick. My bf was home that weekend with a massive fever, I was taking care or him. I said no and we moved the rod and went down stairs.

When we got down stairs i told my mother what it said. Than it started saying “relative” and “blood”. After a little bit my mother told me that my grandfather (in my dad’s side, he pasted before I was born) is named Billy. After a little bit I felt someone grab my upper thigh, my phone went off and said “dont let her touch you”. That heavily creeped me out.

The day went on and I left shortly after. I got into my car and felt someone grab the same spot. I was alone. I told my bf what happened and he called us dumba\*\*’s and that if my phone was picking something up he might not have been my grandfather and was trying to get close to me, and that it might wanted to hurt me. Plus whatever grabbed my thigh twice wouldn’t have been grandfather.

With all that being said, last week I was under my heated blanket. My foot was left out, and was resting on top of my phone well it was charging on the end on my bed. Before I fell asleep I felt someone playing with my foot, I was too tired to move it and I chalked it up to my foot being cold well the rest of me was warm. That night I was woken up by the same man again. At the far end of my room, not the same spot tho. Right in front of my floor length mirror.

I don’t know if I should be scared. It happened so much last year, I see it, and I turn to go back to bed well having a sinking feeling or dread. It’s weird to say i kinda gotten use to it

I know it’s kinda a long one but any thoughts will be helpful in how I should proceed.😁

Encounter He's back

My dad was trimming a tall tree when the boom on his cherry picker snapped, and he was killed.
Earlier that same day, my older brother, who also ran his own tree service, crossed paths with him while they were both out in their big trucks. My brother swears that as they passed, he heard our late grandmother tell him to say goodbye.
After Dad died, my brother bought the business from my mom. She sold the big house in Sharon, Wisconsin, and moved into a much smaller place, leaving most of the furniture behind.
A few months later, the woman who bought the house called my mother. She said they'd noticed the big comfy recliner in the living room moving on its own from time to time.

Can I get help

Title: Please help us. A spirit box session turned frightening, and my friend has been having nightmares and physical symptoms ever since.
Hi everyone. I’m posting because my friend and I are genuinely scared, and we don’t know what to do or where to turn for help. We’re looking for advice and suggestions from people who may have experienced something similar. Please be respectful, because this has been a genuinely frightening experience for us.
It started when my friend and I were using a spirit box. We believe we may have made contact with his dad and brother. At first, we thought we were communicating with them, but the conversation took a really disturbing turn.
The spirit box started saying that my friend was in danger and that there was a bad entity behind him. The only description it gave was that she was a big, warped-looking woman. It kept saying that she was always behind him and was trying to cause him sickness.
My friend then said that nothing had permission to touch him or harm him in any way. Shortly afterwards, he suddenly started feeling what he described as nerve-like pinches in a particular area, and he had scratches in that same area.
I then tried communicating with whatever we thought was there. While I was doing this, I suddenly felt what seemed like a hand over my back. I want to point out that I was on the phone with my friend at the time, and he lives in a completely different state from me, so we weren’t physically together.
There may have been other things that happened during the session that I can’t remember clearly now, but the experience left us both really unsettled.
Since then, my friend has been having nightmares. The day after the session, the spirit box had said something along the lines of it finding pleasure in harming him. When my friend woke up the following day, he was extremely out of it, had a terrible headache, and there was blood everywhere from a nosebleed. He also felt as though something was behind him.
I understand that people may have different beliefs about spirit boxes and paranormal experiences. I’m not asking everyone to automatically believe our interpretation of what happened. I’m explaining what we experienced and why we’re so frightened.
We genuinely need advice about what to do next.
My friend is planning to see a medium, but we’re wondering what else we can do to help him feel safe. Are there any sensible precautions people would recommend? Has anyone experienced something similar, particularly the nightmares and the feeling of something being behind them after a spirit box session?
We’re especially interested in suggestions that don’t involve making the situation more frightening or potentially making things worse.
We haven’t been using the spirit box to continue the communication, and we’re unsure whether we should do anything else at all.
Please, if anyone has helpful advice, we’d really appreciate it. My friend is genuinely scared, and I want to help him through this. We’re just trying to work out what to do next.

Encounter 10 Seconds.

I am not someone who gets scared of ghosts, goblins, ghouls or cryptids of any sort and at this point in my life I don't believe in any of it after walking through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado on foot by myself and completely in the dark for the most of it (I started walking at the beginning of June 2026).

We truly are alone.

But, there is a single occurrence in my life that I don't think I will ever be able to reconcile.

It was a regular night just after my daughter was born in 2015. My ex and I were renting a single wide trailer in the backwoods of rural Virginia at the time. We had just sat down to watch TV. Our then infant daughter was fast asleep beside us on the couch. It had to of been 9 or 10pm.

The trailer layout went kitchen, living room, our daughter's nursery, the bathroom and then all the way at the back was our bedroom.

Everything was completely calm. I got up and headed over to the kitchen to get a refill of my drink. I opened the fridge and brought the bottle of coke over to the counter top that overlooked the living room and was where you could see straight down the hallway that was set to the backside of the trailer starting just past the living room space and shot straight back to the bedroom. So basically on the backside of the trailer, half the space past the living room was the hallway set to the right and to the left side until you got to the bedroom in the back which occupied the whole last 4th of the building was nursery, wall, bathroom, 4th portion that was the bedroom.

And that's when I saw him, her, it??? A percievably black silhouette that was of human shape but seemed to be made of a material that can't be described to be anything I have ever percieved within our reality using the 5 senses I'm capable of interacting with the world around us. It seemed to be solid, liquid and gas all at the same time and was standing right at the front of the hallway just beyond the living room space to my ex's right shoulder. It appeared to be standing on the ground and somehow floating at the same time. It couldn't have been just the shadow of a person because it was standing within the glow of the television. Seemingly its whole mass felt as if it had the energy of a black hole but wasn't able to properly gel with our reality the same way water refuses to mix with oil.

The whatever it was had no facial features but somehow felt expressive. A deep sadness emenated from whatever it was and somehow made eye contact with me without even having eyes. We locked "eyes" for about 5 seconds give or take before it then floated, walked, dissipated through the door of my daughter's nursery.

I turned to my daughter's mom and asked if she saw that and of course she did not. I then walked over to my daughter's bedroom, opened the door and peered inside. There was nothing inside but my daughter's crib and dresser.

Me being freaked out we then left to stay with her parents for the night.

I have tried to reconcile that 10 second experience over the years and to this day I still can't explain it. The best I have been able to come up with is that there must have been some sort of gas leak from our A/C system because anytime we turned the heat on there would be a smell of strong decomposition pushed through the vents that we never had checked out before we eventually moved.

But if that's the case how could I of come up with a completely unfathomable state of matter and how did the eye contact that I did and did not make with this whatever it was feel so real? How could its presence fill me with so much sadness that clearly was not my own?

I'll never be able to explain or even truly articulate that 10 seconds of my life.

Los leo.

Experience Experience I had as a kid that still scares me

I’m writing this to gauge other people’s opinions as to what this could’ve been. To this day it terrifies me and every Christmas Eve I’m absolutely petrified to sleep alone.

To give you some context at this time I was 11 years old and it was Christmas Eve in Australia. I live in a rural area away from cities but still close enough to drive there but rural enough that there’s a lot of bushland etc. the house we live in is over 70 years old and has had many people live here before us. That night my sister and I decided to have a little sleepover. I stayed in her room and we just chatted until we fell asleep.

I had this little iPod touch at the time and woke up randomly in the middle of the night around 12 to the sound of my mums voice. I checked the time then looked to where the sound was coming from.

At the end of the bed was this figure, it was like a shadow and I couldn’t make out a face but it had my mums voice. I said “mum what are you doing?”

And it responded “go back to sleep honey”

I pretended to go back to sleep but felt something was wrong, and just couldn’t. Eventually I decided to peek, I saw the figure walk out of the room, but when it stepped into the hallway light it was thin and frail, and looked human but wasn’t. It stood on two legs and hobbled down the hallway. At that point I blacked out.

The next morning as we were opening presents to I asked my mum why she was sitting at the end of the bed and she looked confused. And said she didn’t.

Everytime I’ve told this story people say “oh it’s probably sleep paralysis “ but I know this wasn’t. I could move, I sat up, I felt everything. And I just know this wasn’t sleep paralysis. Does anyone know what this could’ve been?

Advice First time trying the palm method after watching Sam and Colby, and something genuinely startled me

So I was watching Sam and Colby’s latest full-length video, Proving the Paranormal, and it got me curious about whether it was possible to try communicating with spirits without using any paranormal equipment, like a REM pod, spirit box, or EMF reader.
For context, I genuinely don’t believe in most of this stuff 😂 I’m a curious-minded person, and my mindset going into it was literally, “This shit isn’t real, but let me see what happens.” I wasn’t trying to prove anything or saying I believed in spirits. I was just curious to see whether I would experience anything.
I started looking up ways people supposedly attempt spirit communication without tools and came across the palm method. From what I read, you assign your right palm to “yes” and your left palm to “no,” hold your hands out, ask questions, and pay attention to any sensations you might notice.
I also read that you shouldn’t try to communicate with random or unknown entities because you don’t know what you’re supposedly inviting contact with. So, if I was going to try it at all, I decided I would only attempt to contact my ancestors or deceased family members. I specifically stated that I didn’t welcome any negative entities and that I only wanted contact with family members. I also read out boundaries beforehand because I didn’t want anything negative to happen.
I was sitting on my bed while doing this. I got myself into position, turned my palms upward, and asked if any of my ancestors were there with me.
AND LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER I ASKED THAT QUESTION, I FELT THIS INSANE WHOOSH.
I don’t even know how to explain it properly, but it genuinely felt like something had passed straight through my body at 1,000 MPH. It wasn’t just me thinking I felt something or imagining what might happen. It was a sudden sensation that caught me completely off guard, and I physically jerked backward because it startled me so much.
The timing is what really threw me off. It happened immediately after I asked the question, not several minutes later. I wasn’t expecting anything to happen because, going into this, I genuinely thought nothing would happen at all.
I got spooked and immediately stopped the whole thing. I said the closing words I had read about, basically thanking whatever I had supposedly communicated with, saying the session was over, and stating that it wasn’t welcome to stay or follow me. I didn’t want to continue experimenting after being startled like that.
Then afterward, my head started hurting, and I developed what felt like a migraine. That made me even more confused because now I’m wondering whether the headache was completely unrelated, whether the experience startled me enough to trigger a physical reaction, or whether there’s another explanation.
I’ve seen people online talk about grounding rituals and how you’re supposedly meant to ground yourself before and after attempting spirit communication. Some people also mention headaches or unusual sensations during their experiences. Now I’m wondering whether anyone has experienced this particular combination of sensations.
I’m NOT saying I believe something actually passed through me, and I’m not trying to claim that I contacted a spirit. I know that the timing alone doesn’t prove anything paranormal happened. I’m just trying to understand an experience that genuinely startled me, especially because it was my first time trying anything like this.
Has anyone else experienced a sudden whoosh or rushing sensation immediately after asking a question during an attempted spirit communication session? Did it feel like something passed through your actual body, rather than just feeling a presence in the room? And has anyone experienced a headache or migraine afterward?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who experienced something similar on their FIRST attempt, what they thought was happening at the time, and whether they eventually found an explanation. I’m open to different perspectives, including ordinary physical or psychological explanations. I’m genuinely curious about what happened and would appreciate hearing about other people’s experiences.
