Possible lore that I wanna see:

1. Reincarnation - Ghosts that got sucked off a long time ago will get a new chance to live via reincarnation. What if a Woodstone Mansion ghost that got sucked off will return as a guest and will recover their memories during their time as a ghost and their past lives? The character could be someone that Thorfinn and Sassapis knew before the arrival of the others.

2. Supernatural creatures - Do creatures such as vampires and werewolves exist? This is their chance to do a crossover with CBS' newest comedy, Eternally Yours. The dead ones will meet the undead.

I'm in the UK and watched the CBS version on Netflix. Unfortunately we only get up to Season 3 and even though the full series are available on iPlayer I don't have a TV licence so can't legally watch S4-S5.

While waiting for the remaining seasons to be added to Netflix in the UK, would it be worth watching the BBC version? In your honest opinion.

I tried to look up some comparisons but it seems the CBS version is more heartwarming comedy which is what I normally enjoy, and while I live in the UK I don't gel with British comedy at all, the dry humour is not for me.

But I'm obsessed with this series atm so could be persuaded to watch it, but I'm worried I'll hate it lol

Since the vault is the only thing in the real world that the ghosts can physically touch. Why don’t they just figure out what the vault is made out of and make objects for the ghosts to use, like a pen?

I very just started watching this show, having previously seen the UK version. Some of the characters are direct copied of the British version, whereas others are reinventions. Which do you prefer?

Speaking for myself I prefer Pat to Pete and Hetty to Lady Fanny. Trevor is a mix of Thomas and Julian (although he has dropped the Thomas aspect pretty quickly). I think I prefer Him to Thomas but prefer Julian overall.

I'm watching the UK ver now and no specific spoilers but it just made me love and appreciate Jay so much with how devoted he is to Sam, how open-minded, understanding and oftentimes rational he is and more importantly how involved he is with the Ghosts. He tried really hard to connect with everyone despite not having a single direct interaction with them for so long. Sometimes he gets annoyed or tries to put his foot down but it's still understandable. I think the only time I've ever been truly disappointed with him was the Poker game but it was just one thing

As we know from the trailer, Jay is going to break a mirror and replace it with a mirror with a ghost in it. My theory is somehow Sam is gonna get trapped in the mirror by the ghost in the mirror so I’ll probably get another Sam possession.

In the original UK version, the bubonic plague victims were played by the same actors as the main house ghosts (with a few extras to fill the frame) but this never happened in the US version.

Richie Moriarty plays a cholera ghost in the pilot, but that's it.

Maybe they wanted somebody new so they could introduce a "basement ghost spokesperson" character and expand the role of the basement ghosts, who knows.

Hear me out! Ghosts US missed a trick on the last episode; how cool would it have been if Adelines/Nancys portrait was in the Ghost UK mansion and Pete, Kyle and Jay met the UK ghosts! I really thought that's where it was heading on the penultimate episode 😭

Also, anyone know if the Halloween 2026 special will be released in the UK on the same date?

I started it today and I have mixed feelings. IMO it is entertaining but not nearly as captivating as Ghosts.
And I’ll admit, I actually would love a crossover. And it could happen because we are still very early into the show, and the existence of other supernatural beings have already been established.

I'm currently rewatching the whole series and I'm currently stuck on the episode with Trevor's memorial. Every single time I'm so shocked at Tara Reid and the way she is speaking/acting. Instead of speaking, she mumbles almost incomprehensibly, and the three sentences she does have, she delivers in the most trite and implausible way possible. I know she's no A-list actress but jeeeeeeez. It's unbearable.

I know that this has been asked before, but we still don't know how he died. Any theories?

He doesn't seem to have any wound or blood on him. We can rule out a bloody murder or accident unless his wound/blood is covered by his clothes. I think it's possible that he died while he's asleep from a nightmare. He simply never woke up. That explains his ghost power to enter people's dreams.

I don't want to go into deeper but while watching Ghosts I'm pretty much in a rough time. I know it's a sitcom but i like how in a different perspectives, it shows the ghosts' regrets and wishes after their deaths, especially during the episode where we found out Hetty's death.

Pretty much short scene but I was crying ugly throughout it, prolly how close it hit home.

Headcanon

I have a required AI class and thought about each of the character's possible opinions on it so like

Maybe Trevor was on the computer and accidentally clicked on a Google AI ad or something and he showed it to all the ghosts later. Then Sam finds out and she's trying to take it away from them until the ghosts ask Sam why she doesn't it use it.

Then she tells them about how it affects the environment and how she feels guilty about it. Flower learns about this and tells Thor about it and he would panic about the future of no more cod or salmon. Later, Sam and Jay block the site because they don't want Trevor to buy credits and Trevor's sad.

I was thinking about next year's Halloween special for 2027 and came up with a fun episode idea.

​It starts with Sam dressed up as a zombie for Halloween as a nod to Rose McIver's old show iZombie. Meanwhile up in the attic, the ghosts find an old occult book in a pile of stuff and manage to read an incantation out loud.

​The spell makes anyone in the house actually turn into whatever costume they're wearing. (Yeah I know Buffy did this back in the day, but it's been long enough, they could definitely pull it off again lol).

​Since Sam is dressed like a zombie, she turns into a functional iZombie style zombie—still smart and able to talk, but fighting off weird brain cravings. The fun twist for the ghosts (since they aren't wearing costumes) is that the spell makes them solid and visible for the night. So they lose their ghost powers, go to walk through a wall and just smack right into it.

​Jay is losing his mind because he can finally see the ghosts, but he also has to help figure out how to undo the spell before Sam's zombie hunger takes over.

​At the very end right before bed, Jay looks at Sam still in her zombie makeup and asks, "So... can you keep the costume on?" and it fades to black.

​I figured I'd leave the rest up to you guys. What costumes do you think Jay or the B&B guests should be wearing that night and what kind of trouble would it cause?

Ok, I really dislike Pete. I find almost everything he says irritating and I want him to shut up and let the show move ahead. It really worsened around the end of season 3, possibly tied to his arrogance about being able to leave the property (and describing his ability ad nauseum). But from the start I would say his humor is cliched, which stands out in a show full of some fairly original and clever characters - compare him to Hetty, for example, who is a font of irony and actual character growth.

I also find it puzzling that in many cases we see many of the characters expressing that they also find him irritating. There’s an episode in S4 when someone, I think Sass, cuts him off with, “Shut up Pete!” So the writers obviously designed his character to be irritating. (Of course, the creators of the original BBC Ghosts made Thomas intentionally irritating, so it’s in their style apparently.)

Anyway, I know the character has fans, and is often listed as a favorite among all characters. So I’m truly interested in just what aspects of Pete actually appeal to people. Thanks!

It's a minor detail I know, but one I still found funny. Offices did NOT look like that back then lol. If Trevor died in 2010 I could 100% believe it but that scene took me out of the timeline of the 2000's a bit.
