I reloaded the page and even the website. I’ve been awarded 0 points so I ended up with a total of 19951. Anyone else had this issue?

After being stuck in Gold for months because I just don't play that much, I finally played some games and got to Master where I am NOT having a good time. The difference between "A Progression World" in Gold and "A Competitive World" in Master is jarring.

Where in Gold I pretty much could not lose because no one there knows actual region metas (win ratio 40-2), in Master I cannot win because all my knowledge is just completely useless. I'm going from consistently regionguessing to not being certain which continent we're on on half the rounds.

This jump feels extremely harsh. I wish I could've just played APW against better people. Did anyone find the same? Any tips for learning ACW?

Long time lurker but recently took a break.

Why has the Battle Royale mode been moved to such an obscure place? Took me an age to find it and hence I try to find a game there’s literally no one playing it?

What’s happened, I only stopped playing for around a month but never struggled to find a game before this?

It’s literally the mode I played the most of.

Returning to grind after not playing for a bit, and have seen quite a few examples of non standard cars (or blur) in countries that have or don’t have a widely accepted car meta. Curious if there are some general rules to go by or if it truly is a “get better at the game” situation and don’t rely on car metas in no move.

Some examples…
No white truck in northern Costa Rica
White truck in coastal Ecuador
Coastal ghana car blurred (no rack/tape)
Kenya commonly no snorkel, various trucks in the east
Etc etc

38 rounds of absolute insanity. It truly felt getting anything shy of a 5k was gamelosing the last like 15 rounds.

I haven't played for about a year. What did I miss? Are there new countries in the game? Any new important features?

Lately I noticed that panos load very very slowly, sometimes just getting blackscreen every two steps (even tho there is definitely coverage), or moving forward just kicks me back.

It wasn't nearly as bad a month or two ago. Anyone else noticed that?

Hey everyone, I drew 2 Portraits of my favorite WC Players and wanted it to share with you guys. The last World Cup was so exciting and I can't wait for the next season to start^^ Lots of Love to all the players grinding so hard and giving us the best entertainment possible! Just want to share my frustration because I had many many games in a row where I put the pin on the map, try to guess and the game just froze, refreshing and joining again didn't help as many times I wasn't even able to rejoin. My guess never got registered and I lost around 100 elo with this fucking bullshit.

Can you please explain me how it shows my guess on the replay but it never got registered and I had opponents saying they saw my guess themselves, either seeing me click when they went into spectator's mode or seeing my pin was placed already.

This is not just a "network issue" because if it was my pin would only happen "locally" and my opponents would never see it or it would be shown in the replay. This is a stupid bug that cost me 100 elo and Geoguessr should definitely reconsider their priorities, maybe we need a more stable game instead of shitty UI updates every week.

Hi all! I recently discovered the world of competitive GeoGuessr watching the 2026 World Championship. I wrote an essay about it, exploring how people get so ridiculously good at identifying places from a dirt patch on Google Street View. I spoke to a few people from the scene (Ribeirete, Bloom and Mikael Falgard, the co-founder and CMO) to learn more about the game, its community, and what drives people to master such a niche skill.
