Still having login issues

In order to open the app, I have to either reinstall or restart my phone. As someone who likes to play a little bit multiple times throughout the day, this is a HUGE pain. It’s been doing this for almost two weeks!! Hoping the devs can solve soon!

Is there a trick to the iPhone restart? Sometimes I have to do it 2-4 times before it will load

They are really haemorrhaging players now. If this goes on much longer, whole guilds will eventually move onto newer games. I moved over to GoW from another game 6 years ago (LGoH) as one of a bunch of players from several guilds. Once consensus builds and the momentum to leave takes hold, no simple stability update will be enough to stop it.

The Devs have suggested ‘offloading’ the app, leaving only the save data (via device storage settings), before re-downloading, and restarting. It takes 5 mins, and doesn’t require logging in to reclaim your data.

Even so, it’s far from a guarantee of stability.

Saaaaame! It’s driving me nuts. I ended up digging my old android phone & installing it on that since I can still use it on wifi without a cell plan

Someone on the forum suggested this

Rather than delete and reinstall I tried “offload app” in settings/ipad storage/ gems of war. After off loading “reinstall” appears in the same area. Did that, then restart ipad and I was up and running again

Are other people experiencing this issue also playing on multiple platforms?

I play on iOS as well as Steam, it seems like when I log into Steam, my iOS account stops working. If I reinstall and never touch Steam, I have been ok.

Perhaps it is between iOS and Steam, not simply all mobile platforms.

I tested it again this weekend. I had been playing on iOS all week, no issues.

Logged into Steam on Saturday, and on the very next attempt to use iOS it failed. Seems pretty directly related, or at least you can repeat the error.

Edit: Source of the problem seems like it might be on Apple’s side. Other apps (ESPN) have exhibited similar behavior, which would make sense if for some users messing with iOS app settings seems to have an effect.

This happened to me and I lost my whole account when I reinstalled. I was logging on through iOS’ Game Center and apparently there is no record of my account through my email.
