They were definitely getting...busy, when he found them. It would be funny and awkward to find a Gallade and a Gardevoir doing it in the wild.

Fun fact: Gardevoir's dex entry in legends arceus confirms that what Gardevoir uses is actually a dress that isn't part of her body. And honestly, it makes sense. If Gardevoir can create black holes with psychic powers it makes sense that it could also create a dress using fairy type powers.
Reminds me of how Trish from Devil May Cry makes her clothes out of demonic energy.
Or how Bayonetta is always naked except covered in hair.
Which is further reinforced by shiny mega Gardevoir's dress changing to black.
That could also explain why the Gardevoir seems to be covering herself in the image.

Yeah, that's the sequel. After both got captured and even then they still can't catch a break for some alone time.
Gardevoir is literally ready to shadow ball their trainer's ass to the next dimension out of anger for ruining the moment XD.
