Mod Announcement Notice About Discord Change
Hey, everyone! Since the subreddit mods noticed a little issue about this earlier, we wanted to inform people that there’s been a change in the official Discord server of both the reddits and the channels themselves. The second server (Game Theorists Community) had been the official server of the subreddits and recognized by the team but not officially run by them. However, back in February, an official Discord server endorsed and run by representatives of Team Theorist has finally been launched! You can join it here: https://discord.gg/2xfkD7Scsq
Does this mean to leave the other server? No! However, if you have questions about moderation decisions or want to appeal bans from that server, we cannot help you as those moderation teams are now separate. We do however encourage you to join All Things Theorist! There are plans to start running events there that will also be run on the subreddit, and we’d just love to have more of our wonderful community present there.

GTLive Discussion RIP GTLive 2015-2026
You will be in our heart forever, dear beloved archive land.
EDIT : ALSOOO some disclaimer in case you think i am hating on Ash or something is that im happy that she changed the channel name, but as usual people will take some time to adjust to changes you know? Thats the main purpose of this post that I made.
Another thing is Ash has been the main host for 2 year now so the change is not shocking at all tbh. If you watch the most recent livestream, TheoryCast is now for the other hosts and sometimes other people from Team Theorists to join in. They will be doing much more activities compared to one man show that people are used to with MatPat towards the end of his time there.
Even Matt had said in the past that the name of GTLive did not make sense anymore especially after they entered the GTNotLive era.

GT Theory Suggestion Animal crossing character strength.
I was playing animal crossing the other day. I wanted to get rid of some trees, so i did what a always do I ate a fruit and grabbed my shovel and picked up a tree. That's when I was wondering how strong are animal crossing characters. You just eat one fruit and your able to pick up a tree like its nothing. There are more examples like how can an animal crossing character going fishing for a shark and lift up with ease. We need a game theory on the strength of animal crossing characters. Please tom 🙏 😢

Discussion Hello I am Frosty; I made a video that I want feedback on
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been wanting to start a theory channel for a while, and I have made two videos so far. I need feedback on the video, which my family and friends dub the best-edited video I've made. I haven't started the channel yet, but I want the channel to promote curiosity and learning through game and film fan theories. The channel is detective-themed and is named Frosty Files. So, please tell me what you liked and what I could improve. Thank you, your opinion is greatly appreciated. Oh, and the video is about Petscop. It isn't finished because I am trying to buy a theme song from a musician.

GT Theory Suggestion What is The Player
Hi, so this is my first post on this subreddit and my first personal theory so please be kind. Anyways if we go with the Game Theory idea that the ancient builders created the wither(s) as a failed attempt at immortality what if the player(s)/Steve was the successful attempt. I mean if we take respawn as cannon (which definitely could be not the case, and is not the case in hardcore worlds) the player(s)/Steve would be near ideal for the ancient builders, they don’t age as far as we can tell and when they die they can just instantly reappear in their bed with no real consequences other than temporarily losing any item on their immediate person. The wither achievements “The Beginning(/.)” could even not only reference the wither(s) being the one to destroy the ancient builders, but being the literal beginning of the player(s). This would basically be a failed prototype vs a successful final product sort of thing. Although I’m not sure why the player(s) just appear in the middle of nowhere, with seemingly little memory, and long after the ancient builders were long gone, maybe they were but into a form of stasis but that’s just an idea. While Game Theory and Wifies are big influences on this theory and are great channels, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone come up with this specific theory before and just wanted to get people’s takes on it and if there is anything that could be done to build on it. Thanks for listening to my mostly speculation theory and head cannon, sorry if it’s not as thought out as many people would like this is my first theory :)

GTLive Discussion Why ANY removal of GTLive (TheoryCast) VOD should concern you (even if you don't care about GTLive)
Fortunately, no official announcement that I know of had said anything about removing old VODs for now. For the record, I actually preferred that they change the name of the channel (albeit a better new name can be chosen and there are already a pre-existing podcast with TheoryCast as its name on YouTube) , but one of my fear is the removal of old VOD in the name of "new branding".
Does it make any financial sense or any kind of sense out there honestly for Lunar X to do that? Heck no. We all know a pretty good chunk of its views come from people watching old VODs and the fact GTLive used to be called "The Archive Land" after all. However, as we all know everything is possible, and the chances may be low but NEVER zero. This is Lunar X we're talking about.
The second any kind of funny buisness like silently removing VODs has been done, thats when you should raise your pitchforks with the same energy when you heard the name change.
Why? You ask? Because if Lunar X starts to pull stunts like that, how do we know their criteria or limit in removing contents for all the channels? The fact that they are brave enough to do that, is it out of pocket for me to say they can do the same to other channels if any similar rebranding has been done to them?
If anything, we should start the conservation effort the second that kind of thing starts to happen. Thats all I'm saying.
EDIT : Sorry guys for using delisted with removed as an interchangeable term. Already fixed.

New Game Theory! My theory as to why the piglins zombify in the overworld
Okay so as we know there was 1 point where piglins didn't zombify and they could attack the overworld. Now most people think this happens because of some sort of infection but I believe it is something different I believe it is more of a curse. We know via the rise of the arch-illager book that the undead are created by the character known as the nameless one using the orb atop his staff to resurrect and command the undead
And we know at one point there was a war between the adventurers and the piglins
It is my belief before becoming an undead himself the nameless one used his orb which gave him control over life and death to cast a curse on the piglins that would zombify them when in the overworld for too long and that is how the war was actually won
Before you bring up Legends showing that the piglins were beat in a different way it is Canon that that game is not fully Canon but a in universe legend that likely mutated over time becoming further from the truth
Tldr: pigman zombify in the old world because of a curse caused by the nameless one from Minecraft dungeons

New Game Theory! [Speculative] Allays and the Sift (I didn't know how to repost from the Minecraft lore sub)
So, I am building a custom, private minigame for me to couch-play with my cousins, but as an author, I am fuelled by this drive to have a story written for this world; it makes the game more fun. But I am not satisfied with it being a custom tale. I've done that a billion times. I want to mix my own original lore with the existing Minecraft one, and I am using Game Theory as my primary reference, though a lot of the conclusions are self-derived and twisted in ways to fit my world while still, at least to me, retaining the Minecraft flavour.
Allays are a semi-important part of the world I am making, so I was thinking about where they came from. The original theory MatPat produced was that they were remnants of the "ancient builders" (the predecessors of the modern Minecraft character, or Heroes, as they are referred to on this sub, I think). However, I don't believe that theory holds anymore, given the introduction of Minecraft Legends and the fact that the Allays were summoned by the Lute given to us by Knowledge, meaning that Allays existed before there were Builders to die.
Additionally, there were also two types of Allays: a smaller, golden one and a larger, blue one, which carried out different roles. Yet, in vanilla Minecraft, only one kind exists. This got me thinking about the possible reasons for this, and, obviously, much of it is speculation on my part.
With the upcoming dimension of Sift, I am thinking that the Lute doesn't call forth the Allays from the Overworld, but rather gives form to "ambient" spirits, either directly from the Sift or ones that are leaking into the Overworld. I am led to believe this by their light blue colour, ability to phase through objects, and, more importantly, their connection to music, which, if I recall correctly, is fundamental to the behaviour of the Sift dimension and its creatures. The Sift being so music-oriented might also explain why the Warden hunts by sound: the louder the sound (or music), the more souls that spot is bound to have.
Allays, using both of their previously intended names, are equal parts pixies and will-o'-the-wisps, but whose will do they carry? This was a question I kept asking myself before I linked it to the "Allays form a magical connection to the player" comment from back when they were added. My theory is that the will of these wisps comes from the player or whomever else the Allay was initially aiding, either through the Lute or, later on, by themselves.
This could possibly mean that the Allays manifested as yellow or blue depending on the intentions of the Lute player, and the modern scarcity of them could be explained by a lack of capacity to "spawn" these Allays, with the only ones left being used by the Illagers. But then, why are the yellow ones missing?
Now, I am aware that I am engaging in a little bit of backwards rationalisation, but the Builders did grow into a more complex civilisation, going from agrarian societies to dimension-hopping "life"-makers. I'd assume that their buildings grew more complex, making it harder for the Yellow Allays to keep up efficiently. And even if not, their own actions caused a great depletion of resources, which eventually led them to prefer the Blue ones because they helped gather increasingly rare resources from increasingly dangerous territories while also reducing the number of trips required.
Eventually, when the Wither incident happened, they would have had to abandon a lot of their above-ground aids to rush to safety. Whatever Allays survived the Wither's onslaught were subsequently captured and experimented on by the Illagers.
I wanted to know if there is stronger evidence that either supports or undermines this "theory" of mine

GT Theory Suggestion The Gold Weapons Are Irradiated
If you play through the first game of Ratchet and Clank, you can get Gold Weapons but wait a minute who built them, why are they green, and if they're different Weapons why do you already need the Weapons to upgrade them and did slim go to jail for building an arsenal of irritated Weapons that Ratchet found?
This combined with the fact no Weapons that produce waves or circle around Ratchet are Gold or maybe Slim was caught before he finished them not by the police but by Ratchet meaning he had to turn over his Weapons he bought for safety which is why you don't have them and why they'd be weaker till you buy the new Gold Weapons in game 2.
I think there is a bigger story with the Gold Weapons.
