I am a home builder and kind of a geek about historical rural architecture. I have looked for a couple of year unsuccessfully for plans on the historical home stead’s of Cades cove and catalogue. Is there a resource somewhere with drawings of these structures?

I would be shocked if there aren't photos of everything, too, since photographers were being paid to take pictures of almost everything in the country at the time.

There is a library in the basement of park headquarters. You have to make an appointment to get access. Just call the main number and they can connect you with the correct person. I have been there once and they do have maps and sketches but I don't remember seeing specific structures from Cades Cove. The librarian could probably tell you over the phone if they have what you are looking for.

You could try to contact the park's resource management division or see if the park has a library that researchers can use. Sometimes parks have maps and drawings either in the library or an archive.

I have no idea, but any such documents do exist, folks at the Cades Cove Preservation Museum would know. It's in Maryville. Looks like their website is down, but the phone number is (865) 982-0705.
