Banana bread for breakfast???
Guys... I just made some banana bread this morning. I had a hankering for it, and I just let it rip. BUT... My kids 19 and 17 both started in on me for doing it. "Dad! Why are you baking banana bread in the morning?!"
Made fun of me and everything. Lol
Next thing I know, half the damn loaf is gone, and I didn't even have one slice!
I'm thinking I should have baked it in secret now and not made a deal about it. Those vultures are picking it apart!
Hahahaha
How's your morning doing, folks?

Making friends
This just me thinking about all these posts and a news article about a new website for 20's to make friends.
In 1990 I joined a prodigy board called Parrothead madness for Buffett fans. And many of us became life long friends. Not by DM but just public discussions about life and music. Met my first wife on that board.
People seem to treat making friends like an interview. What happened to being drunk and just talking shit with random people. That worked for HS and College, and a little bit in adulthood.

Is it tough make a Friendship after 50 both in real life or reddit world?
I came here to make friendship but its not that place where i can make friendship, chat daily, shares hobbies. I don’t know why peoples are so busy with nothing. Although everytime i see post about friendship making and wants to chat but in reality they dont like these. Is it only time pass options? My world of friendship is small due to work & relocation at the age of 35 years later i couldn’t make a friends where i live now.
Can anyone tell me what things depends for making friendship? Money, look appearance, religious choice, regional locations?
I am really confused 😌

53 [M] Missouri Anyone remember thise really thick shoelaces that were all the rage in the early 80s?
My dad was in the Army (US), and he was stationed in Berlin. I was just a little dude 9 or 10, and these shoelaces were all big amongst us American kids. They were wide and had so many colorful and cool designs. We called them "Thicks." The only place to get them was the bowling alley under the pool. Yes, I said it right. Lol
I would ealk around TAR elementary with my cool shoelaces like I was a big deal! Hahaha
Anyone else remember those?

53F | Interesting conversations, questionable humor, and absolutely no hookups!
Hello, fellow humans!
I'm a happily married, 53-year-old woman looking for interesting people to chat with and hopefully build some genuine friendships along the way.
A little about me: I'm an introvert with an adventurous spirit, a history nerd, a book lover, a dog mom, a coffee enthusiast, and a lover of all things Italian. I enjoy everything from ancient civilizations and medieval history to football (the kind played with your feet!), music, travel, and life's wonderfully random absurdities.
My musical tastes range from classical to death metal. My sense of humor leans sarcastic, and I'm perfectly capable of going from a deep philosophical conversation to something completely ridiculous in under 30 seconds.
I love conversations that wander. Tell me about your latest obsession, an obscure historical fact, a place you've always wanted to visit, or something that made you laugh uncontrollably.
I'm not looking for constant messaging or someone who needs immediate replies. Life gets busy, and sometimes an introvert needs to recharge. But I do appreciate mutual effort, curiosity, and people who genuinely enjoy getting to know each other.
Age and location aren't particularly important. Emotional maturity, a sense of humor, and the ability to hold a conversation are!
Strictly platonic. Seriously. Not interested in hookups, flirting disguised as friendship, or unsolicited anatomy lessons. 😂
**So, let's start with something fun: What's a subject you could happily talk about for hours that most people in your everyday life couldn't care less about?**

Looking for new chat friends
Nearing 49 female looking for people to chat with. I have teens now and feeling a bit lonely. Looking for people in the US to become chat friends with. I enjoy good conversations, 90s music, coffee, watching the birds, being busy and active. I love my pets and reading every night. Not into any drinking or drugs

80s, drugs, music
I realized something. When someone asks for an 80s music recommendation my first thought is:
- What's the current mood
- what drug are you on
- What mood do you want to be in or what are you working through.
In a world of mixtapes and albums, music had a purpose.

stollen inheratance
anyone had that happen? what happened?
i think mine is being stollen. i think one of my bro/sis is badmouthing about me to someone with money, making up lies. all to make me look bad so i get less or even nothing, and they get it all. the badmouther is very influential and close, me, i am neither. and you know how people tend to believe what they hear. and there is nothing i can do about it.
what i am wondering about = whomever is the admin of the will, is there someone separate obligated to enforce the will?

Male 59, US. Recently discovered I love Northern European accents!
A couple months ago I discovered a Scot television series that I have become very fond of. I am not married, not in a relationship and I’d love to find a friend with an accent. If you could use a friend and enjoy a friend and don’t hate us Americans (although I cant blame you if you do), feel free to DM.

56M - South East UK: Dog loving sci fi nerd
Hello.. giving this a shot to find some friends as my life is definitely between chapters at the moment. Single, no kids, my only dependent is my 4 year old black lab (who is, of course, the goodest boi in the world). I love the outdoors, walking, off road cycling and generally keeping myself in shape.
I'm also a huge sci fi and audiobook-ophile. I'm on my second read (listen?) of Dungeon Crawler Carl, and also love Expeditionary Force and Convergence (both by Craig Alanson), Omega Force (Joshua Dalzelle) and I have to say I lean more towards Trek, than Wars. I'm yet to see the Project Hail Mary film adaptation, but it's definitely on my list, because the book is superb.
I'm also a fairly keen, but equally casual PC gamer. Big Skyrim and Fallout 4 fan, City of Heroes, vintage sim racing in Assetto Corsa and I was really in to Elite Dangerous for a little while. I also like building and management games like Cities: Skylines and Planet Zoo.
Quite passionate about nutrition too, having lost a good bit of weight through cutting out or finding healthier replacements for refined carbohydrates.
It would be great to find people on here to meet IRL, but like minded, online pals to talk to is cool too.

LFG - Neurodivergent Older Gamers
Hello Everyone!
I am getting a very late in life diagnosis for autism and it's blowing my mind how the doctors missed this my entire life. I also have RRMS and Fibro. I had told my doctor for YEARS over and over again how I get overwhelmed and shut down. I don't understand it but it prevents me from functioning and they just kept saying it's not MS related and dismissing me. I'm really good at masking. I seem "normal" in public but omfg it kills me. I didn't even realize i was masking it was just what i do to make it through going out.
I often find playing survival games and fantasy games (PvE - I HATE PvP), MMROPG's etc helps a lot for me. I was reading this is fairly common. However, when I try to join groups and people they often log on and try to zip through content, explain things as we are in the middle of battles etc. and my brain can't process it all. If I know the fights and am I am comfortable with the content it's great but when it's all new to me, I can't just walk in and know what to do like so many do. I feel like such an idiot sometimes. Like how do people just know the UI, the map, the keys, and just run with it right when they have never played before. Then they get annoyed with me because it takes me a lot longer to get all that down. Once I do however I have a tendency to be very methodical and analytical about my gaming, so I find bugs or secrets others don't because of it. I later come back way better and out doing everyone who laughed at me in the beginning.
I'm really looking for some folks to just enjoy gaming with who are also autistic and like straightforward honest communication. Who aren't worried about zerging everything and beating end game in a day. I love exploring and just seeing what the game has to offer. End game will always be there but sometimes the journey is what it's all about. Once you beat it it's done so why rush to it?
I'm currently playing Once Human. I had some great folks but again they kept trying to rush me to all the silos and such and I just felt lost and confused and ended up just leaving and playing alone again. They were really nice and just trying to help but they couldn't understand why I didn't understand all the dungeons and silo fights etc after doing them a few times when I didn't even know what the fight was, why were doing it, what the mechanics of it were, or anything. I was just confused and kept dying because i didn't have time to update gear, know how to do mods, or anything. That happens so often in games, it makes me not want to play with anyone but i feel like there has to be others out there who play like i do? I mean for me the fun of it is figuring it all out.
Any suggestions on groups or places I could find others? I am also a smoker of green stuff so to me just spending a night smoking and laughing and having fun gaming is my kind of night. It just gets a bit boring always running solo.

55M. Looking to make some new friends
Hi there! I’m from the south west of the UK 🇬🇧 and thought I’d try a post to see what it turns up. Really looking to make some new friends to share some time with.
I’ve got a professional type of job but a very unprofessional sense of humour and never take anything that seriously!
Enjoy continuing to fail at keeping in shape and am definitely a pet lover, particularly doggos, what do you have?
Drop me a line if you fancy childish banter and a serious ear when you need it.
