Is this offer legit?
Freelancers here get targeted by the same few scams again and again. Check these before you trust an offer.
Red flags
- You're asked to pay. Registration fee, training fee, joining fee, refundable deposit, "kit" charges. Real clients pay you, never the other way round.
- Easy daily earnings. "Earn ₹2,000 a day", "daily payout", "just like and comment". These are task scams.
- They move you to Telegram or WhatsApp straight away, before telling you what the work is.
- They want your bank, UPI, Aadhaar or PAN details, or the login to your accounts, before any real work.
- "Reddit tasks" or account rental. Paid upvotes, comments or renting your Reddit, Gmail, LinkedIn or Upwork account breaks platform rules and gets the account banned.
- Overpayment. They "accidentally" send too much and ask you to return the difference.
- No details. They can't say who they are, what the deliverables are, or what the budget is.
Good signs
- A named company or person you can look up
- A clear brief, deliverables and budget in writing
- A deposit or milestone payment before you start
