Freefolk One of the best scenes in the first season and it wasn't even in the book
It's just so long and so complicated. Perfectly acted too

So aenar and family arrived in dragonstone and lived there for 100 years before aegon conquest. Aegon did fight in the century of blood So what else were they doing in that time. Cause 4 dragons died . Balerion was their only dragon for a certain time until meraxies hatched . So was it just flying trips with balerion and meraxies. What on earth were the Targaryens smoking in dragonstone for 100 years ..

Shout out to boiled leather! It's a shame that the Hound didn't get to feast on all of his chickens, though.

Doubt they could stand each other, but they would respect the hell out of each other for sure.

Egg daughter married ormund barotheon and had steffon . So since steffon has Targaryen genes it is possible he could have bonded with a dragon if dragons were still around. Unfortunately fate had other options..

Quick history lesson - "jape" became popular during the 1300s, particularly within the writings of Geoffrey "Joffrey" Chaucer. It came from the medieval French "japer", one who yells and makes fun of others. "Japer" came from the Latin "jocus", meaning passing the time telling funny stories about others. "Jocus" was pronounced "jokus", which led to the word "joke" in the 1600s.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Are you sad realizing the series that have got you hooked for multiple decades will never be finished? Skill issue; I have reached enlightenment and so can you with my brand new formula of samsaric copium:
The books are MEANT to never be finished and age into an old dusty manuscript which was partly lost to time.
Tolkien created his works as ancient texts passed over from a different era. GRRM’s work is the logical next step: create ancient works passed over from a different era which were partly destroyed and we’ll never really know how the story ends, but at the same time it is so ingrained into public culture and consciousness that people will create art of it and finish it on their own turning it into modern day legends and lore.
In horror the biggest source of fear is a reader / player’s imagination. Which is why you don’t show the monster or at least as little as possible. Even if it looks exactly as horrifying as we imagined it, it will always be a disappointment. Our brains having to do the work and the filling in, whether it is a scary monster or a great fantasy epic, will always be way more interesting than the onedimensional reality.
I’m doing very well thanks for wondering.
(This is mostly just kidding, unless…)

As we all know, Season 4 is going to be the final season of House Of the Dragon. Recently I have seen some posts concerned about how much material from Fire and Blood is yet to be adapted. But is there really that much material left??
Spoilers Ahead;
HotD was always going to be just about the Dance of the Dragons. And there are only a few major battles and big events that haven't been adapted yet.
Tumbleton 2( the 2nd Battle), God's Eye and Battle of the Kingsroad are only big action set pieces left. And, out of them, I believe (pure speculation from my part) that Kingsroad will get the Butcher's Ball treatment. I, personally, would be fine if that's the case.
Season 4 will, probably, put more emphasis around Tumbleton 2 and The Events in King's Landing that lead to Rhaenyra's fall.
My personal wish is that Tumbleton 2 should be heavily reworked, because, in the book, it is basically the dumping ground for all secondary characters and just feels lazy. I think if they rework Tumbleton 2, it could be one of the few positive changes to the material.
Episode 4 is the perfect placement for God's Eye. It gives the show enough time to both properly build up this huge event and deal with the fallout and consequences.
Episode 7 would the perfect placement for King's landing riots, storming of the dragon pit and Rhaenyra's escape and eventual capture.
Big events such as the Hour of the Wolf and The Royal Wedding do not need much screentime and can be easily fit in the finale along Rhaenyra's Death and Aegon's Reign.
And I hope the writers leave out Moon of the Three Kings. It adds almost nothing to the story of the Dance and it is boring and convoluted af.
Season 1 of HotD is, for me, the 4th best season of television in ASOIAF universe, only after seasons 4, 6 and 3 of GoT. And, as horrible as season 2 of HotD was, they were able to bring back a lot of the quality in season 3, even though it's still weaker compared to season 1. Unlike a lot of people, I don't hate HotD, except for all the Harrenhal bs. There is no defending that clusterf**k. I have made my peace that HotD is not going to be as good as peak GoT in terms of writing. For every other good or great storyline, there is going to be one that is either absolutely horrible (I.e. Harrenhal) or an incestuous head-scrather ( Alicent-Aemond, Alyn-Baela-Addam).

Like, if you never read the books and excluding the characters that never got adapted to the show, which of the characters would you think were actually more prominent than they actually were and which prominent character would you think was actually a side character or at least not as prominent as they actually are?

Like theirs literally like 3 other Aemon Targeyens and not one of them have a D in their name. I get that out of universe bro is basically just Daemon but edgy but is there any in universe reason for his name Bing like that?
