Glad I found this subreddit, most people find my collection weird!

Hi Folks,
There has been an influx of repost bots on the sub recently. While I would normally object to any form of post filtering, it has become necessary.
I will be tweaking it to requirements so if your post gets slapped down by it, send us a message and we can look into it for you.
A big thank you to the people who report these bots every day. Rest assured, they are being banned on sight but I am a mere mortal and they seem to be the proverbial Hydra - no matter how many heads I chop, more doth rise.
Thanks for listenin'
Mod

Found this while sorting out my late wife's things. No idea who those people are, but she kept the note for (presumably) more than 35 years.

I found this box of tickets to a Harvest Dance in the basement of a house I was renting in 1993. I tossed the box but, kept one. While cleaning out my garages at my house I found the old ticket in a box. Saved in 1993, found again in 2026. The small club was not far from the rental. It was no longer in use and I believe it was knocked down years ago. But, I might be wrong I have not driven by that area in decades.

Found in the Tribeca area. I think it's a list of addresses, events or things to hit up this week a lot of them running related maybe from someone running the NYC marathon this weekend or just someone trying to go to free events. Saw a lot of them posted on NYCforfree.

Found this a couple weekends ago thumbtacked to a bench along the pine creek rail trail in north central PA. I had noticed other singular thumbtacks stuck sporadically in wooden fence posts much earlier on the trail during my adventure there, and thought they were a weird thing to see. Then when resting at a bench by the river I saw another one by my knee with this paper folded up and wrapped in plastic with a paper clip around it.
Has anybody seen anything similar before? Noticing some letters are underlined while some are not. A lot of abbreviations and weird punctuation as well.
This was not a publicly posted sign. It was pinned pretty discretely to the bench.

I found this book while walking to the bus stop one day. The path I found it on is frequented by groups of people that are unhoused, so it’s not unusual to see things left behind, but this book caught my eye and I decided to take it home with me. I’ve been doing some research into the book itself, but what intrigues me the most is the signature right on the inside dating this book back to 1907. Pretty cool!

Strange message on a playing card caught in a chain link fence on a back road. I don't know who it's for but I think this is directed at a specific person. I probably wasn't supposed to find this considering it isent in a very traversed area.

Someone marked the chapters of a single book with these. Note the special care taken to keep the legs intact. :D

Can't even lie, I was excited to finally have something to post here lol. Took this home with me, really fascinated by this but wish I could understand basically any of it!
