The world is so fucking relationship centric. I mean on one hand I get it because relationship is the default state for normal people to be in but on the other hand those of us who have been sentenced to solitude feel like they're being rubbed in our faces.

The worst one for me is when people who you know were truthfully not even looking for a relationship also inevitably end up in relationships.
People who you know well enough that they genuinely were focusing on anything but finding a partner, but yet still just randomly met someone who just happened to be single, interested, and a good fit all at once.
More reminders that for them, zero effort still defies all odds in "the numbers game", while we put our whole heart out only to repeatedly be told we're just better as friends.

You get told you're better as friends? I just get ghosted.

Maybe it's just the approach I take, usually talking to people for a little bit to see if they actually like talking to me and see some value in being around me, rather than just tolerating/putting up with me.
Feels a bit more genuine to me, and I get to know if I like talking to/being around them as well rather than just hopping into flirting and whatnot with someone I just met.
Sadly it usually just ends up being yet another person to remind me that I am likeable and personable to talk to, and people are happy to be friends, but for whatever reason nobody says, none of them want to be any more than just friends. That is, if they're not already taken like most are.

It sure sucks feeling like even luck is against us huh . . no right place, no right time, and apperently neither are we the right person.
How does one even play out these odds.3

And then this just becomes natural reality for everyone. They cant possibly fathom that other people are suffering because of loneliness. If you ever reach out for help, its always anything BUT validating your feelings.
Instead, you just have to "focus on yourself",
Or "not pay attention to it so much"
Or "Do x, y, and z" even though they never even had to do x.

At this point I just want to sleep and wake up just to eat and then fall asleep again. I'm so sick of seeing couples everywhere.

Last year I sat on a bench at the riverbank on Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t pleasant experience

I don't even go out in that shitty day if I don't have to go to work.

Lol it just dawned on me that everyone in the very small friend group I used to get together with like once a year pretty much disbanded due to them all getting in relationships. Never thought about it much till now.

Yup. This is exactly my situation. Nobody really talks anymore, but everyone is fine with only talking that much because they're all in relationships. Everyone just thinks its okay. I'm the crazy one for always feeling bad all the time.

Dude, this comic is very good and cut real close to the bone. You have a real art for storytelling, please keep it up.

Very relatable unless you implying that she's gonna want to jump bridge with you?

One of the worst things about being incapable of find a relationship is that you know with time all your friends will get partner and potentially getting married and forming a family, thus having little to no time to hang out with you and eventually you'll be isolated

This is really well drawn, the watercolor style really adds an intimate touch to the otherwise silly stick figure comic medium. It's like a children's book. And the way the shading gets dark in the second to last panel makes the gut punch of the last panel hit much harder 😭

Damn. I don’t know if i should feel happy or sad that many people share the same experience as me.

Seeing people sad over this is heartbreaking , I truly hope y'all eventually find someone , nothing is worth dying for.

What will be will be. Whether that's me meeting someone or not and being alone forever. Nothing i can do.

Our fates are in our hands , meeting someone or remaining alone is entirely in our hands , we can still do anything to flip the situation

Ill agree that trying is in my hands, but I could try every day for the rest of my life and still never find my own person.Guys I've had sexual or romantic interactions with in my 29 years are a guy from tinder who absolutely just wanted to fuck and agreed with anything I said. Or number 2 who has a live-in girlfriend but cheats. And not even the kind of cheating where we can meet up and go out.Yeah, im headed for success.

How is meeting someone entirely in our hands when I'm assuming you mean meet someone that you connect with and by definition, that requires another willing participant?

LARP (Live Action Role Play) is when people run around in the woods pretending to be wizards or knights or whatever

a lot of FA people discuss away couples in public as being not real, so the meme is spot on
