Success Story So long, nerds.
Ive never posted here, but I lurked often. Alot of what you guys said reflected my inner thoughts, and that felt validating. I never thought I would fall in love, much less have someone in my life who loves me. But, it happened to me. I chose her, and she chose me. Fuckin wild. It's been a few weeks, and I still can't believe it, to be honest.
I hope all of you get the chance to experience this one day, it was worth the wait. Despite what some of you, and formerly myself may think, you are all worthy of love and companionship. Good luck everyone ✌️.

Good for you, but I couldn't care less, and I would wager I'm speaking for many in this sub. It's bad form to brag about your wealth to the poor. All you did with this post is add to the pain of those still suffering. The peace sign? Really?

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to it.
I'm just worried that my exam next week and the burnout from work tomorrow is gonna kill the mood. And because of same exams, my friends might not even go.

This sub tends to be a cesspool of misery and self-loathing— and I say that as someone who’s part of it. I kid you not, anyone who replies something positive to a depressing post lamenting about loneliness gets downvoted into oblivion.

I thought i'd never find someone and you know what , i was ok with it! (47 now) i lived a great fun life, totally didn't feel like i missed anything and it was full of excitment and fun. but about 2 and a half years ago someone chased me on one of my many roadtrip travels and I gave in :p We have a fun relationship , sometimes a bit hard because of the distance (belgium-usa) but otherwise it's fun to let go and just enjoy each other. we meet up for several weeks 2ce a year so far.
