Do you agree or any glaring problems with Ranker list of greatest episodes?
I know a lot of subreddits have extremely strong rules against linking. I checked the right hand column I think I am good.

Boy moms đ (The Gambler)
Well in this case boy aunts đ The way she kept infantilizing Jason and his friends to minimize and excuse their trash behavior. One guy was 17. The other was 25, but Jason was almost 30 years old. He knew exactly what he was doing with Mark Wuâs money. Jason was not a kid. He was wasnât a âgood boyâ either. He was a racist scammer that fafo.

Help me find episode!
Guys, Iâm really stuck. I was watching an episode the other night and I donât remember if it was on prime or if I was watching it on Peacock, but in the end, I remember the mother looking to the camera, iâm making a comment saying that he killed my daughter for $20,000 as she was crying. The lady was a little heavier and she had short hair. Itâs boggling my mind⌠those are all the details I have.

Help find a weird episode?
So I may be misremembering this, it was when I was a kid and used to watch FF but I remember an episode that began with a home invasion reenactment that had voice actors saying some creepy stuff? It freaked me out as a kid watching late at night. Does anyone know what I am referring to or am I just getting too old?
Thank you!

Ed Post possible LinkedIn account
I wonder if this is the same Ed Post who was featured on Forensic Files and convicted of murdering his wife Julie?

Why did they air "Deadly Neighborhoods" back in season despite their being no conclusion?
Other mysteries that technically weren't solved either involved the discovery of a new disease or the journey of exonerating of an innocent person so in that case there's some satisfying conclusion. And with cases like Scout's Honor or Where The Blood Drops they either try to play it off as someone getting exonerated or leaving us to determine "no this person is guilty no matter what the jury says". Many other episodes like this where you either may come up with a conclusion of what happened or feel sort of satisfied with what happened in the episode regardless of the real cause was determined or not. However for Deadly Neighborhoods, we get none of that. It was just 15 minutes of theories and speculation just to say at the end "these people got cancer, we don't know why", um ok? Why did this air way back in season of all seasons?

How my Forensic Files obsession led to a coerced false confession and 4 nights in jail... when I was 11.
Hey, Iâve been debating sharing this for a long time, but if anyone is going to understand how surreal this is, itâs this community. Buckle up, because this is the story of how my special interest in this show practically turned me into the prime suspect of my own bizarre local scandal.
When I was 11, I was an autistic kid who was absolutely hyper-fixated on Forensic Files. I loved the investigations, the mysteries, and the deep dives into evidence. One day at school, I dropped some important papers in the office. I was frantically trying to find them, which meant pulling open drawers and digging through books. Because the office was situated on a hill, things shifted and a bunch of stuff just toppled over onto the floor. In the middle of the chaos, I accidentally stepped on the assistant principalâs (Mr. Jeffery La Haie) glasses. A panel snapped completely off.
I was terrified. I realized I had just destroyed an adult's property, and instead of fessing up, my panicked 11-year-old brain made up a cover story: I told the staff that two men in black hoodies and masks had broken in to ransack the place, even though I was the only one in there.
Obviously, the adults didn't buy it, and they started pressing me. Hard. They demanded to know why I made such a mess, and thatâs when they pulled up my Google searches and chat logs. Because of my Forensic Files obsession, my search history was heavily skewed toward my interests, including months of searches about robberies and crime scenes. To them, this wasn't an autistic kid's hyper-fixationâit was "premeditation."
What happened next feels straight out of an episode highlighting police coercion. The adults pushed me to an absolute breaking point. They literally threatened to kill my dogs, take away my beloved computer, and destroy the shed I had been building to store all my books if I didn't tell them "the real story." I was so terrified that my brain just broke. Under that extreme coercion, I fabricated an insane, TV-worthy plot: I confessed that Mr. La Haie had a property insurance policy, and I had been hired to ransack the office to make it look like a robbery so I could get a $2,000 cut.
Looking back, it breaks my heart. I constantly ask myself, Why did I confess to that? Why did I say those things? But I was just a scared, overwhelmed kid trying to save my dogs.
It gets worse. My dad drove me to the police station and gave me an ultimatum: confess to the police, or spend four nights in jail. I confessed. And yet, I still ended up spending four nights locked up. At eleven years old. For an insurance fraud crime that never even happened.
The "evidence" against me was entirely circumstantial: the broken glasses, the fact that I was the only one caught on the security camera, and the fact that I was the only student who knew about Mr. La Haie's property insurance. To top it all off, the lost papers that triggered this whole nightmare were literally found a couple of days later on October 31st.
The story actually made the local news. The article used the word "allegedly," but human bias is real, and people skip right over that word. For years, the whole school treated me like a con artist. Even today, if you Google my name, the AI summary pulls up that I was an "alleged fraudster" and a "self-admitted Forensic Files obsessor."
For years, the trauma of that false confession made me absolutely terrified to even look at the show. It just reminded me of the worst time of my life. But I finally started rewatching it about a year ago, and honestly? I still love it. It feels incredibly empowering to finally take my special interest back after it was weaponized against me.
Has anyone else ever had their true crime interests used against them, or is my 11-year-old insurance fraud ring a standalone case?

12? Naw, she was 14, or about to turn 14, Iâve got it in writing.
I mean, we mustâve had sex, thereâs DNA, but it would have been consensual.
This guy just flat out disgusts me.

Episode rant The "Man's Best Friend?" episode
This episode really pisses me off since I believe that based on the evidence and circumstances that the mother and stepdad should've been charged with neglect at the very least. Who in their right mind allows a young child of April's age to play outside ALONE especially around animals, at least one of which had been proven to be aggressive towards people in the past? And why was she nude while doing so?!? I mean wtaf is that shit? I don't care HOW hot it is outside you need to have some clothes on here in the western world!
Not to mention nobody seems to give a shit if this was a provoked or unprovoked attack or not. I'm an animal lover so this episode always really gets under my skin especially since it's always the animals that end up getting "put down" as a result of attacks like this. Piss poor investigation work for sure.
