If you’ve seen the fuel tank strap recall covering 2023–2027 F-150s, there’s a detail worth checking before assuming your truck is included.
Ford lists 223,472 potentially affected trucks, but the build dates aren’t the only requirement. Its report says the recall covers trucks built Jan. 4, 2023, through Aug. 27, 2026, that were either unsold or had less than three months in service as of Aug. 27, 2026.
The problem is that the front fuel tank strap may not have been properly seated in the frame during assembly. The tank could leak or come loose. Dealers inspect both straps and replace any that aren’t properly secured, free of charge.
Also, getting the recall marked complete doesn’t necessarily mean the dealer replaced anything. If the straps pass inspection, that can close it out.
The recall numbers are Ford 26S69 and NHTSA 26V578. Check your VIN with Ford or NHTSA—Ford says these trucks weren’t built in VIN order, so the door-sticker date alone won’t settle it.

I had about 9k to spend on a truck and I'm a car nut so.... I ended up purchasing this rusty old girl over the phone and flew to Kentucky from Maine to drive her home 2 days later. 169k 2006 f350 XL 4x4 6spd manual 3V V10. Rubber floors with power front windows LOL! I'm gonna put wooden beads over the vinyl seats for some breathability. Fun truck. I'll be putting a bunch more miles on her and I'm pretty positive that I'll enjoy throwing money at her for a long time since I feel that shes in holy grail territory with the configuration and 05+ revisions. Any 08+ 4x4 V10 manual f450-550 IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF GAS TRUCKS IN MY OPINION. $7200 before tax title and fees.

2005 Ford f150 5.4 triton engine. Two videos 1 from driver side inner fender and another from driver side engine bay. I do believe the right side has an exhaust manifold crack of some sort but this sound seems new to me.

What’s up guys! Picked up this CCSB F-250 4x4 with the 7.5L last week. She’s sitting on what I believe is a 2.5-inch lift and 35s.
I was under the truck today getting a head start on some weekend maintenance and noticed a few things.
Both front tires have noticeable negative camber and are wearing pretty heavily on the inside edges. I’ve read that worn axle pivot bushings or improper lift geometry could be the cause.
I also noticed the front leaf springs have an odd arch to them. Not sure if that’s normal or if they’re worn out and sagging.
My biggest concern is that the truck pulls HARD to the left, and I’m constantly fighting the steering to keep her straight.
Could these issues all be related? I’m trying to figure out where to start before throwing parts at it.
Any advice from you guys familiar with these old Fords would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know the largest tire size I can run without a lift?
Currently running 235/85R16 (zero rub even at full lock)

So I bought a built truck and so I don’t know what’s still stock and was not other than a few things I’ve had to replace, anyways I don’t have any Dust shields behind my rotors in the front and that’s where you mount most wheel light rings I think, do I have to buy some or is there another option for mounting the lights. I can show pics if needed.
