Question ❔ About to purchase my first Bronco… I’m a bit wary
It’s a 2023 Base soft top with the 2.7L. The dealer had it on the site as having 9600 miles, but I went and looked at it in person and the vehicle has 13,900 miles. Not that huge of a difference, but why isn’t the dealership updating the mileage on their site?
They said it was 9600 miles when they first got the car on the lot in January and the GM of the dealership has been using it as a demo vehicle for the last 10 months. On top of that it looks like the first owner of the vehicle was a corporation that used it as a fleet vehicle.
I checked the oil while inspecting the vehicle, it was low and dirty. The dash confirmed the oil life to be at 11 percent. I wouldn’t say the oil has never been changed, but it definitely hadn’t been changed in the past year.
All that to say: They are wanting $38k for it. I think there’s enough red flags here to where I can talk them down to $35k or even $33k. The BB places the value of the vehicle at roughly $29k.
Just wondering what else I should be looking for with this vehicle? Purchasing it will come with risk as the factory warranty has run out, but at 13,900 miles… that’s not a lot of miles. Could potentially become a steal if the vehicle is okay.

Issue ⚠️ 2026 sun visor
Ok. I know you’re all going to say to move the rear view mirror, but I can’t. It’s exactly where I need it to be.
When the sun is in my eyes during my morning commute and I go to pull down my sun visor, not only does it take up half the windshield to begin with, it bumps directly into my rear view mirror, so I end up not even being able to use it. Sometimes I’ll temporarily move the rear view mirror, but it’s still too much to maneuver while driving g and switching it all back to where it was and adjusting, etc, while driving. I’ve also never encountered this, so I feel like I really shouldn’t need to move the rear view mirror- I’m contemplating adding a tinted strip on the top of the windshield - anyone else encounter this?

Question ❔ Is this a good deal?
This is a 2026 badlands V6. It has 334A package and also Sasquatch package. The MSRP is $71,735 and they are offering me $62,997. Is this a good deal or could I push for better?

Question ❔ Can I fit a 9 foot 6 surfboard inside a 4 door bronco?
I have a 2004 ml500 as my surf vehicle that has great off-roading capability and drives great on the beach in low range mode.
I can just fit my 9 foot 6 longboard inside the car with the back seats folded and the nose resting on the dashboard.
Could I do that in a 4 door bronco?

Issue ⚠️ Transmission Fluid Change
I have a 2022 Bronco that I flat tow behind a motorhome. It has 51k miles on it now, and a trusted mechanic who doesn’t live near me informed me that these 10 speed automatic transmissions should have fluid changed out prior to the recommended service interval. Because of the amount of unrecorded flat tow miles, a pending long trip flat towing this coming summer, and my own paranoia about the solenoid closing while in “neutral tow” mode without my knowledge during any of these trips, I opted to have my local dealer do transmission service.
When I got the car back, I noticed a whirring noise when shifting from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd while on my regular commute to work. To get to work and home, it was driven about 50 miles. I scheduled a follow up appointment and parked it until I brought it back to the service dept. After diagnosing it, they told me they had failed to put in a gasket on the transmission pump filter. My research indicates the whirring noise I was hearing was cavitation of the pump which would lead to aeration and foaming of fluid, and therefore not properly lubricating the internal components and also possibly damaging the pump due to cavitation. The service department is telling me that there shouldn’t be any damage to the transmission from this because the fluid level was adequate. But this doesn’t pass muster to me. I’ve told them I’m not picking it up until I get some type of extension of the warranty on the transmission. Is this reasonable? I paid $679 for this service and may be coming away from it worse off than if I hadn’t tried to do any proactive care.

General 🔀 Let the fun begin!
Dad gave me his old 1976 bronco that's basically been sitting in a barn the last 10 years (he would start it on occasion and drive it down the driveway). Brought it home Labor day weekend and have been going through it seeing what it needs to be road worthy. I am going to try to get my son as much wrenching time on it as I can.

Bought it used with 7k miles and had fender delete from previous owner. I bought the fenders but it kinda looks good without them. Coming from a 2nd gen BRZ, this is a whole new experience

General 🔀 2027 Ford Color Guide
Local dealership had the full color guide for 2027. Hopefully reddit doesn't compress it. Models available are in very small text below each color.
Looks like Gladwin Green is replacing Eruption Green. Orange Fury is coming back. They have samples of the Filson only Iron Sands Copper and Field Green. Plus the usual suspects of white, black, and grays.
