Politics Early Voting has started! Oct 19-31

Early voting has started for many counties and runs through October 31st.

Check with your county Supervisor of Elections for your county's early voting schedule and locations.

Vote-by-Mail Request Deadline - Oct 22

Request for a Mail-in Ballot must be made to your Supervisor of Elections before 5pm (local) on October 22nd.

https://dos.fl.gov/elections/for-voters/voting/vote-by-mail/

Election Day: November 3rd, 2026

I am already registered to vote but I have moved/changed my name since the last election. Is this deadline applicable to me?

If you made any changes of that nature, please update your registration with the link above before the deadline!

When can I vote in-person?

If you are registered to vote, you can vote during your county's early election period. By law, early voting must be held at least for 8 days.

Each county Supervisor of Elections may offer more days of early voting. Check with your county Supervisor of Elections for the additional days of early voting that may be offered in your county.

Election Day is November 3, 2026. Check with your county Supervisor of Elections for your Election Day Polling Location.

When can I request a mail-in ballot?

The deadline to request that a vote-by-mail ballot be mailed is no later than 5:00 p.m. (local time) on the 10th day before the election. For this year’s election, that would be October 22. Source

Check with your county Supervisor of Elections for how to request a mail in ballot.

When should I be receiving my mail-in ballot?

Supervisors of Elections send the ballots during a 7-day window which is between 40 and 33 days before an election.

For more information about voting by mail, please visit the Florida Department of Election Vote-by-Mail page.

I registered for a mail in ballot last election, do I need request one again?

YES! Check with your county Supervisor of Elections for how to request a mail in ballot.

I am a registered Democrat/Independent/Republican. Am I allowed to vote for people on the ballot that have a different affiliation from me?

Yes, you can vote for any candidate in the General Election. Who you vote for is secret.

Do I have to vote in every races on the ballot?

You can leave a race blank if you choose to and your vote will still be counted on other races that you vote on, on your ballot. However, try your best to make an informed vote on every race on the ballot.

Where can I find more information on the candidates or amendments?

In addition to the candidate's website (which, if they have one, can be found through googling the candidate's name) Ballotpedia.org usually has some information on down ballot races and amendments as well.

The best source on local elections would be the major newspaper for your area (Tampa Bay Times, Miami Herald, Sun Sentinel, etc). They interview almost every candidate of every race that is happening in the area so you can find out the positions of every candidate on each issue. They will also talk about any local referendum or proposals relevant to your city or county.

Politics What could Amendment 3 mean for Florida renters?

Thumbnail

Amendment 3 (Raising the Homestead Property Tax exemption) doesn't only impact Property Owners. The Tampa Bay Times says if you rent in Florida (those who get no exemption under Amendment 3) you could see permanent higher costs from multiple sources totaling thousands of dollars per year as local governments make up the lost revenue.

Advice Please stay away from Smoke Shop Cannabis Products

I just moved to Florida and saw the signs for "THC-A no medical card needed". THC-A is now illegal and all products seem to be replaced with THC-P. The shops imply that you are getting legit cannabis. What you actually get is CBD flower sprayed with synthetic THC-P. Most likely from China. Its dangerous, unregulated and probably highly addictive. I tried some and immediately threw it in the trash. It felt like a mix of THC and 2CT2 ( or similar synthetic hallucinogens). Maybe these shops are selling actual cannabis out the back, I dont know.

We're approaching Election Day. Do not forget the DeSantis administration and Florida Republicans blatantly and brazenly stole millions of dollars from a sick children's healthcare fund just to stop a citizen-led initiative (which won a majority of votes) to create safe, legal sales of recreational cannabis.

To reiterate: Republicans took money from sick kids, to stop a grassroots ballot measure that won the popular vote from Florida citizens. It's only the scandal we can see, and it is just the tip of the iceberg. Stop voting for Republicans that want to hand over your money, and our public lands, to corporations and billionaires.

Still alive an alert but it’s protected so I’m not touching it.

Haven’t heard from the numbers we’ve called about it.

AskFlorida Mosquito Spraying

I live in Hillsborough County, and they have been spraying for mosquitos. Every time it's been dispersed by helicopters/by air. Tonight I saw a truck driving through my complex spraying, and I'm assuming it's for mosquitos. Has anyone else seen these trucks? I thought they only air sprayed.

AskFlorida Motorcycle Endorsement

I’m looking to schedule my Motorcycle endorsement course for December and am curious about how much people paid for this and who they got the endorsement through. I live in south east florida and every endorsement course i’ve seen is $350+, with the harley davidson course being $380. I also live in Tallahassee part time so any options up there i’m open to as well. I’ve seen a lot of information saying that it should be $200-$300 tops (which would be lovely if it exists lol), but I haven’t seen it a single time.
Also, any places to get cheaper/sale gear would be appreciated if anyone knows a place in either area!!
