I wanna use especially bc hyprlands works natively on it I think but I dont have a clue what to do once I boot it from usb

I’m not exactly to totally new to Linux, but I’m not super familiar with it either. I know that Clip Studio Paint can be ran on Linux with workarounds, but I couldn’t to save my life get it to run well on Fedora and I ended up crawling back to Windows, since Clip Studio is such a huge part of my workflow.

TL;DR: Best distro for running clip studio or other art programs?

I game a lot, but also use my laptop for daily use and some office use(starting with word, excel and powerpoint, ending with printing and scanning things on my 2012 Canon mf4410 printer). Specs are:i7-13700HX, RTX 4060 8gb, 16gb ram, 512 gb ssd(will install one with 1tb soon).

Should I choose bazzite? or are there any safer options as I am worrying about printer drivers and other little things like this.

Hi all, I'm about to set a Bitcoin 2/3 multisig, I bought a brand new laptop to act as a coordinator. I'll use the laptop exclusively for this. It will have its own pruned node.

I ask you, which Linux distro do you recommend? I know I don't need to get too paranoid, the keys would be in the HW, but I want to protect the XPub and descriptors almost as if they were private keys. Let's say I want a high livel of security for this dispositive.

I have read about QubeOS, but I think the added complexity isn't worth it, given that I won't use the laptop for other things. I have also read a bit about Debían + Kicksecure, Fedora Silver blue and openSUSE, but don't really know which one would be better.

I'm thinking of switching to a Linux on my PC or at least dual-booting my system. I'm pretty all rounder and there's a ton of Linux distros so I'm not sure what is best for my needs.

I'm looking for a distro that is better for the things I tend to do on a day-to-day basis, which is:

- gaming on steam (I rarely play titles that have kernel level anti-cheat software, but I do play fortnite with friends sometimes and I also mod a lot of the games I have).

- coding (I use vscode and have a ton of extensions and mainly code with react, typescript, python, C and a few others).

- general daily tasks like browsing the web, YouTube, watching movies, college work, using Spotify.

And I also want something that is highly customizable since I really hate the way Windows is laid out. I also have dual monitors if that makes any difference.

Please ask questions if you have any, I have no idea what I'm doing.

My pc specs are:

- intel i7 14700k

- 5070Ti

- 32GB ram corsair vengeance

- pc case: nzxt elite 7

- SSD: western digital black sn770 1Tb and a kingston...something icr 1tb. (I have windows booted in the Kingston ssd but I'm not sure if i should move windows into the sn770 since its a bit slower than the Kingston and I'm intending on making Linux my main)

- motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX ATX

- cooler: peerless assassin 120 SE (I'm thinking up upgrading my cooler too, but I'm not sure, so any suggestions for that is great too. I have an Arctic liquid freezer 280? But its in storage bc i could not get it to fit in my case for the life of me even though I checked the dimension and it was supposed to fit)

I am currently looking at my options trom switching over from Windows 11 to Linux. I hear the main benefits are a lot less bloatware, allows for more user control, uses a lot less system resources, and many other things.

What I am currently looking to do on Linux is gaming, along with some productivity work (Canva, Slack) along with video recording.

I'm considering **Linux Mint Cinnamon, Mint XFCE, Ubuntu LTS, and Bazzite KDE**.

Which would you recommend for my hardware? I'm particularly concerned about Bazzite's compatibility with my older NVIDIA GPU and whether 8GB RAM is enough.

I mainly use browser and play minecraft and Roblox sometime youtube videos and discord use nothing more. I like the Cealestia shell theme so I looked at Cachy rather I was going to nobara. I am totally new I tried fedora but it shows error disk not detected. So I js gave up on that.

I’m looking for a beginner-friendly, stable distro that runs smoothly on older hardware and offers a modern, polished desktop experience, ideally with a look and feel similar to macOS.

I've just bought myself a school pc for sub 20$ — here are the specs

-h85 M2 no name mobo, probably MSI rebrand -i3 4th gen, will pick up a i5 4670k for 7$ tommorow -2x2gb ddr3 1333mhz, will be picking up an extra 8gb stick for 7$ tommorow -no name 300w psu and the Cherry on top a 500gb wd blue HDD, looked modern but didn't have time to check the rpm.

That's it for the important part — now what distro would you recommend for it, preferably light weight and broad compatibility, the ability to "game". Being a little more specific, I want to host game servers for my friends, specifically beamng, maybe Minecraft, I want it to be able to afk slop Roblox games with scripts to farm whsthevrr in in them if I feel like it and maybe down the line turn it into a home media server if I get a GPU for it. Preferably Wayland but the specs are pretty shit so X11 is fine.
