Discussion It's hard being a teenager, pero mas mahirap palang maging anak

Post image

Hi! I just watched this film, and it hits so hard as a bunso and as a son na may mommy issue HAHAHA. Hindi naman ganon ka-grand or OA yung plot, it's just a girl trying to figure out who she is, where she belongs, and who she wants to become.

May mga moments na you want to side with Lady Bird, then may moments din na maiintindihan mo yung mom niya.

Mahal naman nila yung isat isa, they just don't know how to express that without hurting each other. And basically, that sums up my relationship with my mom too :)

November is so packed!

Discussion Ang ganda-ganda ng "Ikaw Lamang Hanggang Ngayon," wala ako mapag-share-an!

I was having Regine Finale Concert PCD kaya I decided to watch (and rewatch) some of her old films. Regine may be hailed as one of the romcom queens during her time, pero this might be my fave movie of hers kahit leaning sa romance ito!

There's something about the shots na nakakadagdag sa romantic at serene mood ng pelikula.

Sobrang magkaiba nila pero they're just two softies who want to fall in love, at nahanap nila 'yun sa isa't isa without the need to change the eccentricities of each other!

‘COYOTE VS. ACME’ has officially been submitted for consideration in the Best Animated Feature category at the 99th Academy Awards.

The live-action/animation hybrid film was previously shelved by Warner Bros. before Ketchup Entertainment acquired it for theatrical release.

If nominated, it could become only the second live-action/animation hybrid to receive a nomination in the category, following ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On’.

Kakawatch ko lng ng Shake Rattle Roll EXTREME ngayon, and gusto ko medyo matakot (medj lng, kasi I know di naman Ganon katatakot ang SRR🤧) Pero still nag expect ako te, 2023 nato nareleast pero parang group project na horror film ng mga students parin 😭(mas katakot pa dating srr movies eh. Jusq, napaka Cringe as in. Hahaha to the point na nakakatawa na. HAHAHAHA 😭

EDIT, I know, old SRR MOVIES ay may mga cringed factor din naman, di Ganon sobrang nakakatakot. Pero alam moyon, it's not the nostalgia lg naman, kundi may takot factor or suspense parin naman yung mga old kahit we all know yung cringed. Pero idk, hahaha dito kasi wala talaga akong naramdaman Ganon 😭 mostly na cringe tlaga me. Huhu

-Nagustuhan ko yung poster and kaya sya napili ko for tonight na panuorin 😅

Discussion WICKER x JELLYTIME COLLAB

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi! Came here just to say how entertained and wowed by this collab??? I never thought na makikipag-collab ang Jellytime sa isang film distribution company (CreaZion) for a movie.

If you guys don’t know, Jellytime is sexual wellness brand that sells personal lubricants, condoms, and pleasure toys here in PH! Founded by Isabelle Daza.

And ang interesting part ay it’s a collab for WICKER. The upcoming movie featuring Alexander Skarsgard as the Wicker Husband!!! I think sobrang funny, witty, at fitting ‘yung collab since ‘di ba, he’s made out of wicks so when he has sex… we automatically think na baka may splinters na maiiwan sa girl or whatsoever kaya super clever for me nung collab!!! 😭😭😭

Anyways, so excited for Wicker! Can’t wait to watch this in SM Cinemas soon!

They’ve added The Invite for streaming on HBO Max abroad, but I was wondering if anyone knows if we’ll be getting it for HBO Max Philippines. I’ve been waiting and checking since their announcement but there seem to be no plans for now. :(

Discussion grabe, ang sakit pala talaga ng one more chance 😭

Post image
14 Upvotes

curious lang ako, anong movie yung hanggang ngayon masakit pa rin para sa inyo kahit ilang beses niyo nang napanood? and do you think bea and john lloyd's characters were actually meant to be, or masyado lang tayong attached sa idea nila?

Ampangit... They should just let this franchise die for the love of God.

PS I think for the whole franchise, this set of stories has the most laughable performances I have ever seen. Add niyo pa yung generic storylines. Kung sino man nag sulat at nag direk ng second story, just leave please.

Last rant lang, sorry to the fans pero ampangit talaga umakting ni Seth Fedelin. Sayang katambalan niya kay Francine. Medyo ok naman acting niya even though the story didn't make any sense.

Surprising medyo ok din performance ni Fyang with the given material.

1/5

Discussion Anyone interested in Telegram alerts for new cinema showtimes?

I've been testing a Telegram channel for Takilya that tracks showtimes in a small selection of cinemas. It posts new showtimes and booking links when they're picked up, including advance bookings. If nothing new shows up, it stays quiet instead of repeating the same listings.

Currently tracking these specific auditoriums:

SM Mall of Asia: IMAX and ScreenX

SM Aura: IMAX

SM Megamall: IMAX

SM North EDSA: IMAX

Trinoma: A Giant Cinema 7

Greenbelt 3: Cinemas 1 and 4

Uptown: TEMPUR Cinema

Robinsons Opus: VIP Cinema 5

It's a limited list for now, not every cinema or auditorium. It will have a link to the actual booking page for available seats.

Just checking if anyone would find this useful. If you're interested, DM me here on Reddit and I can share access. I might open requests for other cinemas in the future, but keeping the scope small for now

Keanu Reeves is set to star in ‘Maelstrom,’ a new Netflix action flick from ‘Carry-On’s Jaume Collet-Serra, sources have confirmed to Deadline.

Reeves takes over the lead from ‘Reacher’s Alan Ritchson, who exited the project for undisclosed reasons.

In ‘Maelstrom,’ a Federal Marshal assigned to protect the fiancée of an arms dealer turned witness must defend her through one brutal night as a hurricane cuts off communication, strands them without reinforcements, and unleashes the dealer’s men on their safe house.

Video/Short Film We made a 7-minute indie film about Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach — what should our next move be?

Thumbnail
youtube.com
6 Upvotes

We recently finished the festival run for our 7-minute indie short about the first meeting between Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach. It screened at the Manhattan Film Festival and Big Apple Film Festival, and since releasing it publicly on YouTube, it’s reached about 15K views.

One of our Instagram reels also reached Wild Card Boxing Club, who commented that our version wasn’t exactly how the meeting happened. We actually see that as a positive — the project has now reached people directly connected to the story and potentially opened the door for a conversation.

Our long-term goal would be to connect with Freddie Roach and/or Manny Pacquiao, learn more about what really happened, and explore whether this story could eventually become a feature.

For filmmakers who’ve been in a similar position: what would you do next? Use the short as a proof of concept and start developing a feature? Focus on getting representation or producers attached? Reach out directly to the people involved? Or keep building the audience first?

Do yiu guys have other suggestions na similar to this? Hehehhehehhhhhj

Discussion Who would have thought that embracing the dark, depressed, and horrible origins of a DC supervillain and pushing it to a R-18 screening would actually pay off? Watkins' Clayface might actually get the DCU on the right track after the Supergirl fiasco.
