Fan Creation New custom card - REVEALING CUT

For the cost of marking a card in your hand, you can cut away from an Exploding Kitten on top, or just cut to the best card of the 3 so your opponent doesn't get it!

Reveal the Future has always been one of the most awful cards in the game. This seems a great improvement, though I question whether it would be wise to mark a card in your hand, opening you up to being stolen from. I could see myself doing it only to avoid an exploding kitten on top, and not to simply get a better card beneath. Though the player choice makes it interesting. Great work on the design!

I appreciate it! I've played it with a few people, and that is how its gone down with most. Granted this set is full of cards you don't want to mark, so that is affecting the choice. I'm not sure how much that would change putting this into, say, the base game.

Also, why is a card that cuts the deck not part of exploding kittens proper? That seems an obvious thing that should be in the game already.

I actually made a card called 'Cut' that does just that. Its in my Flipping Kittens set if you are interested. I agree that it could be a real card.

Interesting card. Which number is this in your WIP expansion? The writing is a little confusing still for this one I think, but I like the concept. Can you stop at just showing the three cards and not using cut? That's what it seems to imply but I think it could be clearer.

This is card #8 in 'Marked Kittens'. I tried to find the clearest and shortest way to word it, and settled on how Magic the Gathering would have worded it. You are correct about how it works.

1 - Reveal the top 3. You always do this, and always do this FIRST.
2 - Then you MAY mark any card in your hand. Its optional.
3 - If you marked a card this way, cut the deck anywhere you like, and put the top pile on the bottom.
