“Daily” Discussion day 16: Flip four

Description: “As a bundle, flip over the top 4 cards in the draw pile.”

So most probably haven’t seen this card yet as its expansion pack is only in certain Walmarts. But I think this card has a lot of potential. Specifically in the case that some one plays shuffle now after some one plays this. Now 4 random face up cards are in the deck. If you add in the new draw from anywhere cards this could lead to an interesting game.

Also the imploding kittens can now be flipped over without warning or defused if already flipped.

What are your thoughts of this card? Would you use this in your deck? And if so what cards do you think it would work best with?

This is from creepy kittens expansion. I had it imported from the US since I can't get it in Canada (also got Aggro Kittens).

I like this card. As you said, it's good to reset a imploding kitten if you're playing with it in the deck, but love that you can see someone struggle to avoid an upcoming exploding kitten and the fancy plays people will do.

Why’d you get aggro? If you already have rage mode that only gives you 2 new cards which is a huge ripoff

Considering we now have a way to defuse an imploding kitten (a very small chance statistically speaking depending on the total cards in the deck) I see it gaining a bit of traction from that alone

I would just put extra imploding kittens in. I’m thinking amount of people minus 1 and then plus 1 exploding kittens for tension. Some people will want to hold onto flip 4 for safety.

ive tested this card for a custom card long ago and decided not to make it. the main issue with it is it makes the deck super safe for the rest of the game if it hits bombs.
Thinking of it now, it might be fun if there was a bomb exclusion.

I mean if one exploding kitten gets flipped up then it could get flipped down with a second one or flipped down with a defuse.

As a side note this sounds like a problem with imploding kittens in general

I love it, and it goes with some of the other cards in the pack. I feel like this mini expansion might have started as an attempt to make a full set, but was scrapped and we got the leftovers here. Maybe not, who knows. Great design though, and a great addition to EK!

Or just one expansion pack. If you combine the new cards in both you almost have a full expansion pack. 2-3 more duplicates of the new cards and you got a really good expansion pack!

But nope, greed. Let’s make double the profit by selling it twice with filer cards like shuffle……

Its a ton of fun mechanically, but generally what I've seen is it gets played then the next 4 turns are safe so they get drawn. I did have a player clone a flip4 to avoid the exploding kitten but there was only 2 player so they ended up drawing it any ways🤣

I feel like if they added extra shuffle now’s to the expansion it would work so much better. It would be a great counter to some one playing the card and face up cards randomly in the deck would make the game fun. But Zombie kittens is the only place to get it and you only get 2.

Have you used them with imploding kittens yet?
