My sweet baby passed away
Give your furry face extra kisses today. Iβd do anything to have mine back. I wish I could have died with her :(

My baby chowder sheβs deformed and I love her so dearly. Sheβs had two dentals multiple extractions and mri and ct scan due to her facial deformity. But sheβs perfect to me

Hello all! I am hoping to gather some nose cleaning tips. I just adopted my 2nd ESH, Dottie, who is 2.5 years old and was a former show cat. She has VERY narrow nares even after having the surgery 1.5 years ago. I am very well versed with face/eye cleaning as sheβs technically the 3rd ESH Iβve lived with. I had my previous male ESH for 15 years and he had decent nares and let me clean them with a Q-tip when he got stuffy. However, with Dottie I can barely get a Q-tip in there without the cotton on, just the cardboard. She also needs help with cleaning more often.
Any tips appreciated!

My newly 6-month-old ESH is having some mouth issues. Notice blood around his mouth. Couldn't get a look inside myself so took to the vet. No obvious or active bleeding. But entire mouth was inflamed and his breath was like death. No exaggeration. He seems awfully young for such extreme issue. They gave him antibiotics and anti-inflammatory and if he doesn't improve in a few days will give him a steroid. They did draw blood and did a swab. They think there's an infection component, but want to rule out some specific viruses. Thankfully, I haven't seen any more blood in the last 12 hours.
Has anyone dealt with something like this?
When he is cleared up, I need to start brushing his teeth (I held off because of teething). But what else can I do for teeth/gum health? How did you get your cats to be OK with brushing? Mine thrash around like an alligator.
