I've seen a lot of people act like we're going to have second chance 24/7 and teams will be picking each other up constantly.

I'm guessing it's going to instead result in most people dropping from a couple of shots tops, even if technically non-lethal. Bleeds will probably be much scarier. People forget what BSG are like; they'll want to make the game more punishing mechanic-wise. Sincerely doubt we're going to see anyone come up from headshots failing severe bugs (to be fair, it's Tarkov, so that's a given, but still).

I will agree it'll probably make it a lot tougher on solo players who will be handicapped in effectiveness with nobody there to fall back upon, but I don't think it'll make squads overwhelmingly strong or anything. We'll all just suffer more. Isn't that what we're here for? To be at the whims of Nikita's favourite CBT methods?

Think, why would they prep the animation with a specific pistol and plate carrier in mind? This feels more likely to be a cutscene or interaction with a boss or quest, not a down state. That or they just use the a18 skanda as a placeholder.

I swear to god, i've lost count on how many times i've attempted to beat wedge post 1.2 nothing fucking works, and funnily enough, it honestly just feels like the people that do the "guides" on how to counter him post 1.2 have their own personalized copy of wedge and his guards, that act in totally different ways, than they should be.

this is just a rant towards how the game design is, I don't care about them being so aimbotty, the problem was never the aimbot really, the problem is the fact they have no laws of physics to them, their guns fire at an absurd almost non reactable RPM, think about the fact that the death screens most of the time if you died to thorax that you got hit 4-5 times, yet in a way you don't even hear that many shots, i swear to god it feels like their RPM is 2400+ whenever ai is firing. leave the absurd reload speed too.

Lets have a generally positive post for once lol. It doesnt necessarily HAVE to be something it does BETTER then another game, but at least something it does very strongly.

For me its awsome footsteps audio sounds. They are so detailed and layered that ive honestly never played a game that sucked into the specific area as well as Tarkov does. Special mention the that very specific crunchy broken glass sound you get when walking around urban areas like the broken storefronts. The sounds is even different depending on what surface the glass is on, wood flooring or concrete sidewalk etc.

What do you like? It doesnt have to be something immersive, it can be anything! I said "small" in the title and why im still asking that just go ahead and share what you like in general if you want to lol.

My flea predictions for this Halloween event:

- Flesh ammo will become scarce with traders, therefore jumping on the flea (as it did two years ago).

- When the first zombie event happened, if you shot a few, you would trigger a swarm that attacks you. It was rumored however that if you used a suppressor, the swarm would not trigger as often. I have a feeling that will be more of a factor this time around, anticipating improvements.

- Labs access keys will see a jump. In the teaser photos, a zombie was pictured in labs.

Curious on your thoughts? Did I buy invest just to lose money? Do these purchases make sense? How are you preparing?

Hello i did all the story chapters expect boreas because of limited sudak tudak and nerfed smoke strategy. I saw reddit posts about we dont have to do it but since that post from 3 month ago do i still dont need boreas for savior or has anything changed ?

when i start the game and load into raid, sometimes my legs are both instantly broken. i hear damage sound and bone cracking. (i heal after every death so this is not from previous raids)

what can i do?

I’m finally getting Tarkov today and PvE on thursday by my coworker and I can’t wait to try it out lol. My coworker has been telling me for the longest time that it’s the best game out there, and even with all the negative reviews, he keeps telling me that if I’m patient and actually take the time to learn the game instead of giving up, I’m going to love it.

I told him that Marathon is the only extraction shooter I’ve played so far and he basically said I have no idea what I’m getting myself into 😂

He’s also gifting me the PvE Expansion on Thursday, so I’m buying the base game today and he’s getting me PvE this thursday which i’m genuinely grateful for, definitely one of the coolest coworkers i have at work.

I’m mainly planning on playing PvE since I’m completely new and want to learn everything without having to worry about other players killing me every five seconds lol and i’ve also just always been more of a PvE sort of player. I might get into PvP later once I actually know what I’m doing.

One thing I’m really excited about is the Halloween event. I’ve watched some videos of the previous events and they look so damn fun, especially the zombie stuff. The timing of me getting the game couldn’t be better at least in my opinion lol

My question is, should I start playing today with the base game or just wait until Thursday when I get PvE? Is there anything worth doing in the meantime, or would I be better off just waiting?

Also, any beginner tips are welcome because I literally know next to nothing about Tarkov right now aside from how beautiful the maps look. Anything you wish you knew when you first started playing?

I know this game is probably going to kick my ass for a while but I’m honestly looking forward to it lol. The amount of content in this game is crazy from what I’ve seen, and I’m hoping this is something I can sink a ton of hours into.

Can’t wait to finally get started!

Hey folks, I'm deciding between 16 GB DDR4-3000 versus 32 GB DDR4-2133 for Escape from Tarkov." My CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800X, GPU is an RTX 3060. Does Tarkov benefit more from the extra capacity or the faster speed? In practice, have you noticed less stutter with 32 gigs?

I'll give it an 8/10. First and final few tasks were alright but Sheep in Wolf Clothing was an absolute nightmare. Any quest that's entirely dependent on RNG should be removed.

I also didn't like that Lightkeeper was a forced part of the chain. Not a big deal for this season because he's just been reworked and it felt fresh doing his quest line, but I definitely would rather avoid him and Lighthouse as whole for the next season.

What are your thoughts?
