Other Roseburn Path - Council appreciation

I was really impressed on Monday. On my way to work there were three sizable trees down across the Roseburn Path after the storms we had at the weekend. By the time I rode home in the evening, all three had been cleared away.

I assume it was the council anyway.

It is after all the most valued piece of public infrastructure in Scotland.

I've heard the nimbys are absolutely fuming at the trees being moved. They were a valuable part of the path-scape and now people can no longer cycle or walk on the path.

about time they do something useful, hopefully it's not in preparation of that apparently proposed tram path that like 4 people will use

Will be that many? The existing tram line only has three people use it

I heard it's only the team driver that uses it. And only for joyriding too /s

Tbh on Sunday. There was 3 people on the tram including me from newhaven Asda. Granted it was raining and windy. More got on at ocean terminal including some idiot tried to sit on my shopping bag even know there was plenty of other seats

If I see someone covering a seat with their bags, I sit there too

I'll have you know it provides 4 tram driver jobs! And that's because two of them sit in the back!

Anything to do with trees, I understand, is handled by the Forestry Commission on behalf of the council. I very much doubt CEC is capable of removing three fallen trees in one day.

What a stupid statement. First, the Forestry Commission was split-up years ago, and second, why on earth would they deal with council-managed trees anyway?
