Just wondering why that's a rule here when it's about our very foundation and a community.

No single ladies in Central Wa?

I lived here a year and have met no single ladies.

I go to bars, concerts, Rodeos, and on date apps.

No ladies come up on date apps at all. It is so odd.

No cute ladies out and about. The few that are have their guy with them.

Where are all the single ladies at?

Pothole Poll... Have You Popped a Tire on I-90?

Please share your I-90 pothole nightmares! While traveling eastbound on I-90 last Saturday, I made a brief stop at the Indian John Rest Area (Exit 89). As I merged back onto I-90, I hit a pothole and popped the left front tire. Les Schwab did not have a run-flat tire and couldn't get one until the following Tuesday so the vehicle was towed to Ellensburg. Both the tow truck driver and the guy at Les Schwab said flat tires happen ALL THE TIME because of these potholes. I wonder how long this particular pothole has been there - have you seen it?

We are here for family visits and will be traveling from Colville to Colfax tomorrow and I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for points of interest to see along the way. Nothing strenous (not that spry anymore) but interesting. TIA

Sightseeing Locations Needed!

Hello, I've never really posted anything like this before so I apologize if I get anything wrong or this is the wrong subreddit.

I was wondering if any of y'all had any fun sightseeing locations near Federal Way/Tacoma/Point Defiance? Including parks, entertainment with decent price, etc. I have never been to a place with an ocean before and I love collecting rocks, so if there is any beach neat those 3 location that have nice smooth rocks and pretty ocean view, please let me know. I am vacationing for only a couple of days and want to see all that I can on a low budget, mostly scenic. Thank you!

Promocode "Reddit" gets you a discount, available for both productions!

About The Headliner:

After teaching high school for 12 years, Cory Michaelis "retired" to do comedy full time because he wanted to try out both of the lowest paying jobs in America. Now in his 14th year as a comedian (he's not THAT old...there was some overlap). Cory has a Dry Bar Comedy Special -"Bad Teacher" - that snagged over 60 million views. His debut album, "The Collage Dropout," was released by 800 Lb. Gorilla Records and charted at #2 on iTunes & Billboard (because it was the only album released that week). Cory was a finalist in the Seattle Comedy Competition which means he didn't win and was in Season 2 of Netflix's "Huge in France" with Gad Almelah.

In addition to headlining comedy clubs all over the US and Canada, Cory has taken his act global, doing tours in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan. He also produces Everett Comedy Night in hometown which has had 8 straight years of sold out shows.

His act is sharp and irreverent and not suitable for the high school students he used to teach.

‘Who is not enforcing this?’: ICE officers continue to mask up despite state ban

An immigration advocate estimated that 20% of the arrests in the Yakima Valley — which have surged in the last couple of months — have been made by masked ICE officers. That estimate had grown by the two first weeks of August.

Gonzaga assistant professor Michael Cecil described the law as “ineffective” when it comes to federal law enforcement due to questions of the law's constitutionality, among other things. What's more, the burden of enforcement doesn’t fall on the state. Instead, the person harmed by a masked agent is responsible for taking legal action to do so.

“It couldn’t be a bystander or something like this… unfortunately, it places a big onus on immigrant communities,” Cecil said.

Wolf Populations and Their Effects on Farming

Hello — I'm writing an article for the Salish Current on increasing wolf populations in Washington and how this may complicate the jobs of farmers and ranchers in the state, primarily in the central regions where the majority of our wolves are. Has anyone experienced predation from wolves firsthand?

If you have, I'd love to talk to you about it. My goal is to make sure that I include the voices of the people who actually have to deal with this issue, rather than just writing about them. Feel free to shoot me a message or leave a comment and I can give you some more info. Thanks!
