I created a space for those of us with emotionally immature, abusive families to connect in. So far, we have just under 50 that have joined. I want to make sure that anyone who may need this sort of community and connection has the chance to explore and check us out. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions.

Newer to Lansing and drove past The Training Factory (on Jolly). Curious if anyone has a membership and feedback on their gym experience at this location. Eventually, it would be nice to find another gym bro to lift with at the Factory. Thanks!

Lease Rehoming – Available in January
I’m looking for someone to take over my lease at Victory East Lansing starting in January. The apartment is a studio with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, and rent is $1,200 a month.
It’s about a 5-minute drive from MSU, so it would be a good option for an MSU student looking for a place for the spring semester. The apartment is also pet friendly and you would have the place to yourself with no roommates or you could life comfortably with one other person.

my friends band is playing this weekend if anyone likes local music or wants an excuse to dress in costume

A couple buddies and I are coming up for the game. We are staying in the area of the map below. What is a hit and what is a miss when it comes to food and drink? Get there Friday around noon and leaving Sunday around 10am. The game is Saturday January 30th 3PM.

A little backstory, we are trying to hit one big10 stadium a year for a Purdue game. We have done Michigan, OSU, and Maryland. Surprisingly Maryland was the best trip of those thus far.

I’m looking for someone to take over my lease in a fully furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment at Cedar Village in East Lansing, from January 2027 through August 10, 2027. Lease renewal is available.

You’ll be sharing the apartment with a female student who is clean and quiet.

Rent: $1,041/month, excluding utilities and Wi-Fi

• Fully furnished, with an in-unit washer and dryer.
• All kitchen appliances and the living room sofa were replaced with new ones in August 2026.
• Approximately a 2-minute walk to the MSU Business College.
• A 12–15-minute walk to the MSU Union, engineering buildings, STEM building, and library.
• An 18-minute walk or 7-minute bus ride to Target.
• Approximately 10 minutes by bus to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.

If you won’t be staying over the summer, you can find a subtenant for that period. The apartment offers relatively affordable rent and convenient access to campus and downtown. In my experience over the past two years, I’ve always been able to find a subtenant when needed.

Roommate preferences

Female tenants only. My roommate and I have agreed to generally limit male visitors. If an exception is necessary, it should be discussed and agreed upon in advance. Shared spaces, including the kitchen and living room, should always be kept clean.

Think about it. It sleeps 23 hours a day, eats a chunk of your paycheck every month, and still expects you to pay for its insurance. You'd kick a human roommate out for that.

I've been putting my cars to work on Turo (45 trips this year, and only one guest left a full Culver's order in the cup holder). The surprise is that it doesn't have to be gone all the time. Price it right and a week or two a month can cover the payment.

Has anyone in Lansing tried renting out their car, or thought about having someone else handle it for them? What stopped you? I'm happy to answer questions, including 'who cleans up the Culver's.
