Evergoods restock?
How do you her when EG restocks? Do you just check day after day? Or do you know a guy that lets you know when they restock?
TIA

Please use only this thread for all WTB/WTS/WTT postings. Remember to list your location, where you'll ship to if selling/trading, and price if selling. All cash payments should be through Paypal Goods and Services or a similar service that provides buyer protection. Zelle, Cash App, et al are not acceptable. Make sure you click the right boxes on Venmo.
If you are offering an item for trade or sale, include a picture of your item. Before you take the picture, write your username and date on a piece of paper, crumple it up, uncrumple it, and place the paper on the item so that the written information is visible. Report items that don't include photos. If you don't crumple the paper, you make it easier for scammers to steal your photos and replace your name.
If you want to offer your item in reply to someone wanting to buy an item, include the same picture in a PUBLIC REPLY BEFORE you PM the person. If someone PM's you, insist they first post publicly -- this is to help prevent banned people from sneaking in to PM's.
Remember, Reddit is NOT intended to be used as a marketplace and all transactions are your own responsibility and you should do your own due diligence, whether buying or selling. These guidelines are put in to place to try to protect everyone, but, at the end of the day, you are sending goods or money to a complete stranger and there's not likely anything that can be done if something goes wrong. It's also a good idea to look up usernames on the Universal Scammer List.

I purchased a CTB20 waxed canvas olive at full retail price ($350) when they had some available for sale on their website. When I received it, there was some deformation on the back panel (first picture). I was able to get an exchange, but now the second one has a loose stitching on the outside (second picture). I’ve contacted Evergoods about it and their response was:
“Baste stitches have no structural bearing on the bag, and are used to hold pattern pieces together before the final stitch. We're sorry they were missed during production!
Trim away gently with a pair of hygiene scissors. Then, gently push on the cut end to hide it under the stitch.”
I don’t expect absolute perfection on a bag, but I really like this bag and paid a lot for it. Am I being nitpicky or is it worth pushing for another exchange? I wanted to get a second opinion.

Full disclosure, I’ve already hit the button to buy the CTB 20L because I love the waxed canvas and I hemmed and hawed to much and missed my chance to buy either in the waxed canvas. I am 5’10 200lbs and thinking of everyday carry for a 16 inch laptop and a 13 inch iPad and files and stuff. I was leaning heavily CPL 16 for a smaller profile but I am not sure that will be restocked in the waxed canvas. Did I just make a mistake with the CTB 20L? I doubt it’s a mistake but just thoughts overall?

I want to get into Evergoods and I love the waxed canvas offerings. I am 5'10" - 200lbs. I always have a 16-inch MBP and a Remarkable tablet with me for work, plus chargers, etc. Those are always on items. Most of my travel is business packing with full sleeve button-downs and sport jackets, so we are not talking 2 pieces of merino wool everything fitting in a super small cube deal. I already own the following:
l(before max edc)
I am leaning towards the CTB 20 as my EDC/Commuter bag. I have read all the threads I can find on the two sizes, and they keep saying the CTB 20 is less comfortable than the 26. I have also read that the 26 compresses down really well, so just get it. Will take any additional feedback I can get. I'm open to both, and my overpacking nature says go with the 26, but the use case says: use the 20 daily and the Able Carry for travel.
EDIT: Purchased the CTB 20l and 1 liter civic pouch on 10/25. Will update.

Hi everyone looking for some help, as the title says im stuck between the CBT20 and the CPL24. I think id like the CBT more based on the layout I like the extra pocket the bottle pockets and that the key leash is in the correct spot im not sure why they decided to put it in the yoke on the cpl…. However im concerned about the 420d vs the 840d. I generally like the rougher fabrics on bags. Big fan of the g1000 that fjallraven uses. Or like the codura that timbuk2 has. Does Evergoods 420d feel super slick like llbean school bag style or does it have a rougher texture. Im 5 hours minimum away from a store that retails so the only way I can clarify is by comps to other bags. But really im looking for like a jean or canvas material vs sweatpants lol. Any help would be appreciated.

Had the cpl16 for a week and had to return it. Love the pocket layout but couldn't get over the back digging.
Personally, I wouldn't mind getting rid of the yoke pocket and redesigning the harness to fix the back digging. I could be wrong but I think because of the yoke curls with the harness is the reason why.
For a small edc, I just want the horizonal pocket, and the main compartment inner pockets for easy access with a swing. The yoke is not really accessible with the one arm swing.
Thoughts + opinions? Would you sacrifice the yoke if you love everything else about the bag?

That's my CPL28 V3 (title is wrong, double checked and mine is actually V3) which I've used as my daily commute and travel use. Used it for 3.5years and noticed the bag strap is torn today. Anyone ever experienced this too? If so, any recommendations on how to fix it?
Update 25/10/2026: I emailed both evergoods and my authorized retailer yesterday, sent them pictures of the damage and my invoice. Should be expecting a reply soon.

Hey folks, I recently received my first EG backpack - CTB26 in olive waxed canvas. There's a lot to like about this bag and it matches my use case (gym to office) as well as expected.
That said, there's one nagging issue: After wearing the bag for a few minutes, I feel the back of my neck / traps getting sore - even if the bag is just lightly packed. I tried loosening and tightening the shoulder straps, it didn't change anything. Tightening the sternum straps seems to worsen the issue.
There's a specific area at the back of my neck from where the pain radiates. I think it comes from the curve of the yoke (where the insides of the shoulder straps connect to the bag) pressing into my traps.
Have you experienced something like this? Can I expect this to get better over time as the material breaks in? Or do I have to accept that the bag just doesn't work for my body shape?
Thanks for any feedback / advice!

I have the CTB 20 in waxed canvas that i love and did a review on how i use it, but i want to know why the CPL is widely considered a legendary bag?
I have been noticing that with my water bottle full and in a water bottle pocket on one side of the backpack it throws the balance off so I wanted to see if CPL is worth trying even with the (sealed) water bottle inside the backpack
Edit: what about the half zip for edc??

My CPL16 is officially a bread bag now. I added a bread patch to it!

EVERGOODS just announced that its Waxed Canvas Collection is expanding tomorrow, October 21, at 8 a.m. MDT.
The drop includes:
The material is designed to be durable and water-resistant, with a crystalline wax finish that develops a unique patina over time.
I recently picked up the CTB26 in Ultra, along with three Civic Flat Pouches, so I'm particularly interested in the pouch lineup. I love the technical materials EVERGOODS uses, but there's something appealing about the look and character of waxed canvas.
A few questions for the community:
Personally, I'm probably I'm interested in both. take my money!!!
What are your thoughts? Anyone planning to pick something up tomorrow?
Source: EVERGOODS' official Facebook announcement.

The Evergoods Canadian Stockist (Te Koop) confirmed that they will sell these items on their website tomorrow (time not specified). For Canadians, this means no extra shipping costs or duties or customs fees.
Looks like Slashmode in Thailand will carry it as well.

Hi!
Interested in the CDT24 and just wanted some first hand views prior to purchasing one.
Out of the 3 material choices (840D, X-Pac, Konbu), which would you recommend as a daily carry/travel tote?
Shame it’s not part of the new waxed canvas collection as that would be my choice.
Thanks!

I've seen quite a few people ask what everyone keeps in the vertical front slash pocket of their CTB and CPL bags.
I recently picked up the CTB26 in Ultra, and rather than filling that pocket with more tech, cables, or organizers (since I'm a pouch guy), I've turned it into what I think of as my everyday utility kit.
The idea is simple: keep a handful of versatile, relatively flat items that solve everyday problems without having to dig through the main compartment.
Here's my current setup:
1. Keith Titanium Spoon, Fork & Straw
I like having proper reusable utensils available, whether I'm grabbing lunch at work, eating takeout, travelling, or picking up something on the go. Titanium is lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean. Far nicer than dealing with flimsy disposable cutlery or paper straws.
2. Nomadix Bandana Towels
One of my favourite multipurpose EDC items. These are 22" × 22", quick-drying, highly absorbent, and made from recycled polyester.
They work as a small towel, napkin, sweat rag, makeshift placemat, or something to wipe up an unexpected spill. They also provide UPF 50+ sun protection when worn as a bandana.
They fold relatively flat, which makes them perfect for this pocket.
3. Mechanix Wear Gloves
A pair of work gloves is one of those things you don't realize you need until you really need it.
Useful for moving dirty or rough objects, dealing with unexpected repairs, loading and unloading gear, or situations where you'd rather protect your hands.
Not something I use every day, but something I'm glad to have when the need arises. This is one I am not sure if I'll keep in there or not... Not sure yet, but its in there now.
4. Ciao Totes Drop Bags
These are clever packable reusable bags made from lightweight ripstop nylon. They fold into their own pouch but expand into surprisingly substantial carry bags.
Great for unexpected shopping, groceries, carrying extra gear, or separating items from the rest of your backpack.
Essentially, extra carrying capacity that takes up very little room until you need it.
5. Final Touch Everyday Up&Away Collapsible Silicone Bottle Bag
Probably the most unusual item in the pocket.
It's a collapsible silicone carrier that packs down almost flat but expands to hold a coffee cup, cup of soda, water bottle, or similar container.
Perfect for those situations where you're juggling a coffee, phone, keys, and whatever else you're carrying. It provides a convenient handle or a way to clip the container to another bag.
It's one of those simple designs that solves an annoyingly common problem.
Why this setup works for me
I use my CTB26 primarily for everyday carry, with occasional travel. My tech and other essentials have their own places in the bag.
I wanted the front slash pocket to serve a different purpose: a collection of practical items that help me handle whatever comes up during the day.
Nothing particularly exciting individually, but collectively they make the bag much more useful without turning the pocket into another overstuffed organizer.

First off, I'm absolutely loving it!
I've owned both the CPL16 840D and X-Pac versions, but this one is easily my favorite so far. Of course, it's all personal preference, but the texture and feel of the waxed canvas are just fantastic.
More importantly, the shoulder straps feel noticeably softer and more cushioned compared to the X-Pac version. The X-Pac straps always felt pretty stiff to me, almost like they were just sitting on my shoulders rather than wrapping around them. The waxed canvas version, on the other hand, feels much softer and seems to hug my shoulders more comfortably.
It's a bit heavier, but I think I can make up for that by adjusting what I carry. And honestly, if you wear it the way EVERGOODS recommends (high and tight), the extra weight isn't really a big deal. Removing the framesheet also makes a noticeable difference!
Here's a little tip that most of you probably already know: To fix the lower back digging issue, I tore off a piece of a foldable foam hiking sit pad and tucked it into the bottom of the back panel. It made a huge difference in comfort! I bought these here in Korea for just $1 each. Personally, I think this works better than stuffing a folded towel or an old T-shirt in there.
Anyway, my conclusion is simple: I really wish I'd bought the waxed canvas version sooner!

How and what do you use your front vertical slash pocket for on either the CPL Series or CTB Series?

Update October 27th 2026: Thanks to all the responses I figured out that it was a manufacturing issue not a design flaw. I've contacted the distributor Mukama and they will send a replacement. Without the feedback I might concludes that the zipper was designed poorly.
The issue
On my CAS1, the zipper gets stuck at the corner (see picture). It only happens when I’m closing the sling, not when I’m opening it.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I think that’s a real shame. I especially like the way it looks. I also like the size, because I only need room for the bare essentials. But if it’s a bit of a struggle to close the zipper every time, it takes away the joy of using the sling.

Just picked up the CPL 24 in X-Pac and I’m hoping that this post reaches anybody on the fence because of the “missing” luggage passthrough. You can buy it without hesitation, as you can use the side handle as a luggage pass-through without issue. It’ll be even better if you use a standard size checked luggage, as the bag sits on a larger / wider base.

Considering the CAS1L Ultra and curious what you guys carry in it. Also, how noticeable are the crosshatch marks on the Ultra 200TX in person? Would love to see some photos, especially of bags that have seen regular use and loadouts. Thank you!
