I've recently published an article about the Canadian C3A1 and C3A2 "Elsie" antipersonnel mines on sappers.org. I'm looking for any additional information, technical documentation, manuals, or photographs related to these mines.

Does anyone here have anything to share? I'd appreciate any contributions that could help improve the article's accuracy and completeness.

If anyone is looking for a house to rent I have a 3 bed 2 bath for 2500 and would prefer to rent to the EOD community.

I’m looking to buy a gift for my friend who’s graduating EOD school soon, unfortunately, I know nothing about it. If anyone could offer any advice on what I could get as a graduation present I’d really appreciate it!! I really want to get them some gear an EOD Tech would use (I really want to get them some nice Gucci gear because all I’m hearing is that on course the stuff isn’t that great but their instructors showed them their personal gear and it was way better).

Anything from gag gift to sentimental gift to real use practical things are welcome too! I want to make a little gift basket.

A demo of the amount of pressure it takes to set off a PMN-1. The detonator has already been removed from this mine but you’ll see the striker eject when triggered. This IG account has several other videos showing demining work along the Thailand/Cambodia border.

I just signed an 89D contract with the army and was wondering if anyone could give me any tips to prepare for training, my recruiters have not done EOD and no one at my recruiting station has ever got the contract so I don’t really have anyone to ask. I just want to know what I need to study for in the classroom and what should I train more physically, thank you in advance.

What are we sporting this weekend? Let’s see what you’ve got…

Footage of an American M6A2 anti-tank mine being detonated. Developed during World War II, the M6A2 features a steel casing and contains approximately 4.45 kg (9.8 lbs) of TNT.

Here's what its explosive power looks like in action.

Is anybody here a guru with working on a talon 4? We got one surplus and the OCU & bot are working but the video keeps cutting off.

Update: Solved the video problem, shorted wire in the monitor itself, swapped the monitor out from another talon that is dead dead. That didn’t solve the audio problem though…

The M21 is a US-made anti-tank mine that can disable vehicles through blast damage or penetrate their underside using an explosively formed penetrator (EFP).

I am conducting a research study examining the perceived benefits and use of dark humor as a coping mechanism among military personnel, first responders, healthcare professionals, and the general population as part of my Doctorate program.

Participation is voluntary and anonymous. The survey is open to adults ages 18 and older and takes approximately 7–10 minutes to complete.

Your participation is appreciated. https://shout.com/s/Rzsl62cM

This research is IRB approved and the mods may message me for a copy of the IRB approval if needed.

Ok, who was it?

A friend of mine got a Talon Robot on a GovPlanet auction, it does not work and we have been trying to repair it but the PDF manuals online are all dead. Does anyone happen to have an old repair manual by any chance ? Thanks in advance.

Thought you guys might appreciate some photos I took during OIF-1 that have been sitting on my hard drive for 20+ years

What’s with the FBI SABT logo carrying military ordnance? They only attend HDS… does anyone else find that just a bit odd? Or am I reading way too much into it? 😂

Don't be like this.

Screw the medal. Give the dog a Crab.

Hello I would like to have some advice about reclassing to EOD as a Sergeant. I’m currently a SPC that just picked up my p status and should be picking up within the next few months and I’m in the process of reclassing to EOD and would really like some notes and guidance on what to expect from this transition. I’m a 13J(so an artillery nerd who does all the math and shit for artillery) so I already have a strong background on ordnance and their effects but only on the artillery side. I would really like to be fully prepared for the training and kinda ahead of my peers so that I can properly do my job as an NCO and help the soldiers who are also in school with me and do my best to show that I am proficient.
thank you in advance

Also anyone here at JBLM who’s willing to meet and help me prep for this transition?

Would any of you happen to recognize this piece of ordnance ?

At first glance, I’m leaning towards a Russian or Iranian cluster munition (rocket/missile), though it could very well have been fired by the IDF or NATO.

There’s no scale reference, but I found this photo from Lebanon as well. (See reply)
