Greed is a personal protection dog & psa sport participant. Hopeful for our PDC next year! He’s technically a bullherder, but over 50% Dutch shepherd.

Pickles is my rescue pup and he’s been home for about 4 weeks. No idea of his age or any previous history. Think he’s had a rough start to life but is settling in well with us now. Hopefully we can give him the life he deserves.

Question URGENT: Rehoming my 4-month-old Belgian Malinois (male, vaccinated) – Jharsuguda, Odisha – ₹10,000

Hi everyone,

I'm rehoming my 4-month-old male Belgian Malinois, and it's urgent. This is my third attempt. An earlier adopter agreed and then backed out at the last moment, so I'm looking for people who are serious.

Why I'm rehoming him

I'm being honest because he deserves the right home. A Malinois needs an active owner, and I'm not one. My mother is unwell, there's no other family to help, and I'm the only person at the farmhouse. It's a 12-acre property and nobody else supervises him. My upcoming job will make this harder, and I'm already struggling to keep up with my own daily tasks. He deserves more time and energy than I can give.

Also I live in a tier-3 city where good veterinary care is very hard to find. If he ever has an emergency or a serious illness, I can't get him proper treatment here. A growing Malinois deserves better than that.

About him

Male, 4 months old, fully vaccinated

Bought from a reputable kennel club in Delhi

Fed premium, high-quality dog food

Raised carefully for bone and joint health: quality nutrition, walks only, no forced running, no jumping

Gets daily mental and physical exercise

Well behaved and disciplined when his needs are met

What he needs from his new home

2–3 walks every day, plus mental stimulation (training, games, puzzle toys)

A big house with a backyard or garden where he can roam freely, with a tall, secure fence

A family that is educated and experienced, ideally with a working-breed background, who will keep up his training and not leave him bored or alone all day

Continued care for his joints while he grows, so no hard running or jumping until he's physically mature

A home that treats him as family, not as a chained or kennel-only dog

Rehoming fee: ₹10,000 minimum. He cost ₹62,000, so this is a heavily reduced price. The fee is mainly to make sure he goes to someone committed.

Location: Jharsuguda, Odisha. Nearby areas are preferred. I'm open to a verified adopter from further away if you can arrange pickup.

How to reach me: Please comment or DM with:

Your city and a description of your home and yard

Your experience with high-energy dogs

Your daily routine and who will look after him

A few photos of the place where he'd live

I want someone who will care for him as well as I do, or better. I'm happy to share his vaccination records, photos and videos, and to answer any questions.

Please share this with anyone who might help. Thank you.

Hex has grown so much. He loves to work and is the most fun dog I’ve ever trained with. He still gets bossed around by his “little” sister, Mya.

Here's our little rescue at about eight months. She looks like one, she acts like one, but small. She's less than 30 pounds right now. What's a typical Dutch shepherd weigh at this point?Whatever she is, she's pretty amazing.

We're slowly heading home with the new puppy and chose to take the scenic route through Slovenia. First road trip, first time in the mountains, first camping experience and a couple new countries for Fitz to explore!

Question Any thoughts - 'Shepinois'?

We adopted her from a gsd rescue after being picked up as a stray in a muni shelter.

She's about 2-2 1/2 years old, weight 60-65 lbs, around 24" at the shoulders. Full brindle striping on her legs.

Ran through a couple of AI and came up with long haired Dutch (not likely with rarity) and more likely a long hair GSD/Dutch.

We're going to do an Embark but wondering if the group thinks.

Edit 10/19- Thanks all for your thoughts. Got the Embark kit for genetics/health and will get it out today or tomorrow. I'll let you know the results when we get them!

I just knew she’d be a Dutchie!! Her brindle is so beautiful and not surprised that Mal is dominant. She’s on the small side. She’s put weight on since I got her from the shelter and is about 43 lbs last I weighed.

I'm finally done lurking here and can start posting. After a couple of years of planning and researching I finally have my very own dutch shepherd puppy. We picked up Fitz a few days ago at 14 weeks old and he's an amazing little boy. He's super affectionate, learning fast and surprisingly well behaved.

First photo was after us spending an hour and a half eating at a restaurant, and he chilled at my feet the entire time (second photo).

Third photo: His new fur sibling cats are still quite concerning but everyone is adjusting fine so far.

Fourth: cuddles!

Took my girl to a fun fast cat run which she didn't do well at (lack of focus due to not much socialization) but at least the photographer got some cool pics! Introducing my Mystical!
