You can do this with any mana refund mechanic.

For example, Pudge gets his mana refunded if he hooks a rune. If you pop soul ring, then hook a rune, you spend temporary mana and are refunded with real mana.

Fyi, with timbersaw you also get mana back when you cut trees with Quelling Blade and Tangos.

You just pop out chakram then gate to the other side and call chakram back. This way it destroys hundreds of trees in the way giving you mana for each one of them.

Also a nice way to give out your location for the enemy team

The bigger problem is that you wont have chakram to farm for the next 30-40 seconds its travelling

Counterpoint: Give the enemy mid a panic attack.

if enemy mid is still in mid after timber (typically an starved or farmed off) is using chakram, then something is wrong with the midlane tbf

The chakram visually disappears after a few seconds

The game assumes you're not insane and is only about blink+max chain distance away so the chakram is only visible for about that distance. After that it just disappears but still cuts through trees

It require level 6 and no ult to farm for 30 seconds.

In lane level 1 you can just spam QB to get manas

But why isn't more people abusing this? Is this new?

There's literally zero reason to do that.

I wouldnt go out of my way to do this, but also wouldnt not do so if I was around.

If someone isnt planning to use spells any time soon and are low on mana and around gate, its  not terrible vs just leaving soul ring off cooldown for 30 seconds

Nope, doesn't make any sense. I can just use the soul ring like I normally do, since it has a 30 second cooldown anyway.

Point being, if you have no spells to use. Since mana from soul ring is temporary, it doesnt make sense to use soul ring.

With this bug, it gains a purpose

No, you're spending two seconds to get the mana like 10 seconds earlier or something. It's terrible. Go nuts doing it tho, not *my* MMR.

If you're low on mana and are gonna take the gate anyway might as well do it

-23

u/RamblingNow 20h ago

No, thanks. Takes two seconds. That's a lot.

You then put the soul ring on cooldown. You can just use it when you otherwise would. Like I said. Zero reason to do this.

Soul ring is on cooldown but the mana you get is permanent so it literally doesn't matter? It's actually better because it's like an extra use of soul ring that doesn't expire.

And it means the cool down starts again

L ow rank take

Why not? Wait til a pro does it and people gone wild.

Soul ring gives temporary mana, but with this bug it is no longer temporary. That is the reason. For sure not always useful if you are going to be spending the temporary mana right away anyways

That sounds like an extremely cost-efficient mana regen, so yeah, sounds like ab excellent reason to do that.
