We've added a new set of user flairs which are (to varying degrees) subtly queer coded. A rainbow is just scattered white light, so that's what the flair colour is set to.
We're two weeks late to the party because we were unable to complete the set in time and we're still missing one. Please let us know if you come up with a great user flair that also hints at some man-on-man action.

Hello all.
Shitposting, or am I onto something? You decide.
So for the past day or so I've been wondering.. what if in an alternate timeline, Doctor Who were made in America?
Now this idea is far from being anything new. Probably at least for the past couple decades it's been talked about of people trying to imagine this, and fan-casts being made.
When talking about these kinds of things people usually just have it be like a skin over it, changes being made where needed but keeping the rest. That is not what this is.
See, Doctor Who was done so well because it had just the right people, ideas, and circumstances at just the right time. If you remove those people, those ideas don't exist. So with having different people, there would be completely different ideas. It may look completely different and nearly unrecognizable to the version we know.
So, if (American) Doctor Who was made around the same time in the 60s, I imagine it being one of these family shows of that time.
I think it would have to fit in with the family of the same popular shows like:
Batman '66, Star Trek, Munsters, The Twilight Zone, Lost in Space, Columbo, The Outer Limits, etc etc and many more
Which means it'd probably on a channel like NBC, CBS, ABC
So, who would play the Doctor?
You might think I'm completely crazy. But my casting choice would be ..
again. It sounds crazy, since he gets so whiny and it getting so silly. But, I'm specifically having the first season of Lost in Space in mind when it's more serious, and he plays more of a villain who is constantly sabotaging the expedition. I think this would work very well especially with the First Doctor being grumpy at first and hostile to the companions.
Maybe he would be even more harsh than William Hartnell, or it just being similar (but different)
His outfit, I don't foresee him having the Edwardian dress like our One. Instead, I think he would have more of a casual business suit and tie like we see in the 60s. Hartnell actually wore this in the pilot that isn't canon.
So, just like Doctor Who in the 60s had historicals, to be educational, I think the same would happen here.
But possibly, it would take more of a focus to American history.
We might see adventures focusing on:
The Civil War
The American revolution
The Oregon Trail
The Salem Witch Trials
Who discovered America (Christopher Columbus episode)
I don't think it would totally reject British history. In fact, stories like The Romans I think would remain intact. The Gunfighters would absolutely still happen, of course.
Some other Doctors I had in mind:
Vincent Price - The Third Doctor (or alternatively he could play the Master)
Gene Wilder - The Fourth Doctor
William Shatner - The Sixth Doctor (Why? He has that distinct look, and light brown/dirty blonde hair, and he has that larger than life personality similar to Colin Baker)
Bill Murray - The Seventh Doctor (This is the one I'm not sold on .. since he's a movie star as opposed to a TV actor, so I dunno. I just think he looks somewhat like McCoy.)
Some more questions for you to ponder:
What would the TARDIS exterior/interior look like?
Well I'm not sure. I definitely don't think it'd look like what we're used to, it wouldn't have the center time rotor. Possibly instead we'd have a room with lots of things like computers, maybe there'd be a section resembling the vortex that opens up. (I'm picturing Time Tunnel)
as for the exterior, I don't think it'd be a police box. The easy answer is just a typical phone booth, or perhaps it'd be more like an actual sci-fi looking high-tech space-ship, but that would defeat the idea of blending in.
Would monsters like the Daleks or the Cybermen still exist?
again, I'm not sure. I do really like the idea of the daleks still existing, using the same description, but physically they would be completely different.
It's also possible they wouldn't exist at all, and instead they would have their own monsters still being popular. But obviously not as iconic.
and that's it really - let me know your thoughts, or if you have any ideas either

I can't find the post(s) anymore on social media but I distinctly remember one or two posts making it to my wall feed a couple of years ago now, and the posts included a quotation from Jodie Whittaker, something along the lines of "I know Liz, we were together at the same school / she was great / lovely"
I get how easy it is to meme something and make this kind of detail up especially if it can feel somewhat credible reading it at first glance, and this stuck with me somewhere to the point where on one of two occasions I've tried sourcing the quotes and can't find them anywhere?
Assuming it is false, I'm curious as to how this suddenly cropped up out of nowhere and if there is maybe some truth in or behind it?

I mean, I live in Kazakhstan, and I rarely see Doctor Who fans in my homeland.

Yeah sure we talk about overrated and underrated episodes all the time, but what about quotes? Do you have any that mean a whole lot to you but others don't care for or any that really grind your gears.
Pics unrelated.

Just moved the comma by one word, adds a whole new dimension to this a tier episode.

I couldn’t sleep last night and thought about making this so I finally made it today lol… it’s low effort but I think it gets the idea across
Ncuti Gatwa really made this post possible lol, the 15th doctor is doing a lot for this meme
also, I was seriously considering the unofficial blue variant of 6’s costume, but being that it is unofficial (as is his Ultimate Adventure costume technically) I didn’t include it here :/

Idk you don’t get many stories that talks about the real life dalekmania of the 60’s and I think that’s such an interesting point in who history

I mean, that's a pretty drastic change in character that is basically ignored on the telly.

Mine would be the sound of footsteps on gravel from all the episodes filmed in Welsh quarries, especially from the 3rd to 5th doctor where the microphone makes it extra crunchy.
