How do you get stuff done
I’m so depressed and directionless. I struggle everyday to just get out of bed and I feel like it’s getting worse. I went through a major loss this year and honestly I just don’t want to do anything but I have no choice. Stuff needs to get done. I’m just procrastinating like crazy. It’s like I’ve got 10 sopping wet blankets on my back at all times and it makes it so hard to just do anything.
Does anyone have any advice for how to just push past depression and just get stuff done?
I need to be responsible and start taking care of everything but all I wanna do is curl up and die.

Decided to make a change and reclaim my life.
I really miss the version of myself from a while back when I successfully overcame my old habits and major personal addictions. Back then, I was living a genuinely happy, clear-headed life every day. During that peak period of discipline, I also managed to completely quit my smoking habit. I felt like a truly positive, healthy, and happy person who was in total control of their future.
Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how things slipped out of my hands or how I let myself slide back into old patterns. I didn't even realize how much progress I had lost until recently when I looked at my daily routine. I am absolutely done tolerating this version of myself, and I refuse to stay stuck in this cycle any longer.
I've officially decided to change starting today. My plan to stay accountable is to upload regular progress updates directly to this community. I know the road ahead requires consistency, so I am actively seeking any advice, daily strategies, or guidance from others who have successfully broken out of a relapse cycle and rebuilt their habits from scratch. What rules or mindsets helped you the most in your first two weeks? Thank you for reading.

What Small Change Made It Harder for You to Skip a Workout?
People talk a lot about discipline as if it's purely a matter of willpower.
But I'm interested in the practical side of it. Sometimes changing the environment seems more useful than trying to motivate yourself harder.
For example, keeping workout clothes ready, having a written plan, or setting up a small home gym where you can start without much preparation.
What's one change that genuinely made it easier for you to follow through?
I'm looking for real systems that work on ordinary, busy days, not just when motivation is high.

Should you always go for your talents ?
I believe everybody is gifted with something. Whether someone wants to use that gift is their own choice. Or am I seeing this wrong ? And can hard work beat talent when talent works hard as well?

Strenght and weakness
Strength and weakness
Maybe sometimes the best way
to get out of a certain situation
is to pass and push right through.
Which might at times
seem quite contradictory
to the impulsive reflex of simply wanting to run away.
Many may know the feeling, when in a dream,
being fearful,
like there’s something haunting us,
But just as soon as you turn around and straight up face it,
it just seems to Simply disappear
Is there not something
in, and to that,
which we can apply also to the waking life?
Of course, there will be situations
that we are not able to handle
and where we should just have the right to just leave? To run?
Maybe by stepping up
and confronting a situation upfront,
we can settle some fears right away
and grow through that.
Even for future occurrences.
But at the same time, maybe we should not judge ourselves too much
for avoiding a challenge in the Moment.
like Keeping the right to just say "no"?
Sometimes there might be a certain
value in being strong.
But without accepting our weakness,
and allowing ourselves to fail
will life not only become simply too stressful?
Can we not forgive ourselves, and still stand up
and rise again?

How do you balance your job, fitness and personal goals?

I think I spend more time researching how to be healthy than actually being healthy 😭

Challenge 1 #canthurtme #badhand
Challenge 1
Date: 10/27/26
What was your bad hand?
- My bad hand was being raised too comfortable and experiencing praise even when it was undeserved.
What kind of bullshit did you contend with growing up?
- I contended with being exposed to modern vices at a very young age and allowing them to control my life.
- I got into several fights with people in elementary school and middle school often for pointless reasons
Were you beaten? Abused? Bullied?
- I did experience a lot of exclusion and teasing from my peers during my childhood and tweens.
Did you ever feel insecure?
- I often felt simply just average or slightly below average comparing myself to peers in high school who were more academic, athletic, skillful confident, socially calibrated, and attractive than me. I always compared myself to them and felt super insecure about myself.
What are the current factors limiting your growth and success?
- I was diagnosed with ASD at 3 years old and ever since learning about it in sixth grade I always felt it hindered my ability to learn easily, make hard decisions, or avoid instant gratification activities like porn, social media, video games, junk food.
- I always chase shiny objects and never commit to any one path or goal as I always get bored of one and then move on to another without ever finishing anything.
- I can't seem to keep my word whenever I try to make a plan to change my life.
- I always fall for easy fixes and hacks that don't actually work and keep me from facing the discomfort of the work I need to do.
- I blame my height (5,10) as a factor for my lack of success.
Is someone standing in your way at work or school?
- The truth is I'm the only person in my own way however I often feel like my parents or teachers put pressures on me that hinder my true goals. The reality is that I'm the only one who can take responsibility for my own life.
Are you under appreciated and overlooked for opportunities?
- I feel like I am exactly in the right spot for opportunities as I don't really bring much to the table.
What are the long odds you’re up against right now?
- I am up against a mountain of work in my sophomore year of college right now and a task to complete my courses and get good grades.
Are you standing in your own way?
- I am standing in my own way by not completing the work necessary to get my college degree.

Why do we only seem to value consistency when it's something difficult?

Hacer algo porque otros lo presentan como una prueba de disciplina no lo convierte en una decisión inteligente.

How to stop being so fixated on potential that I almost procrastinate on actually putting into reality my potential?

I always give up after I’ve begun, how can I break the cycle?
I’m not really sure why this happens because I could be very disciplined for a short amount of time (3-7 days, really short) and then go back to my old hobbies where I don’t really “care” enough to do it. It’s a hard thing to explain cause I do care and want it, I have the willpower to do it but I just don’t. This is mostly about gym (going) school (studying, planning my days) etc. Any tips are appreciated!

why is it so hard to be disciplined and consistent ? being committed things?
hey there , just a high schooler who'll graduate very soon but..... such a loser i am actually losers are even better than me atleast they tried. Studying has become so difficult for me it was never like this until my senior high school year , earlier i couldn't stay committed and consistent to my desires or hobbies or my co-curriculars like learning a new language or learning music even tho i love it but never kept up with it or being heavily interested in astronomy yet no pursuit in it or being serious about my learning an skill and now STUDY has become one of them . its not like that i never tried but the thing is that i do it for 2-3 days and then again back to not even touching books as for procrastination yeahh i admit i'm heavily addicted to dramas , anime , kpop culture , songs , scrolling and yess i have avoided them for months too yet i keep on looking for them and get back to them ans wordt part is if i am not procrastinating then i should be working but hell i just waste time doing nothing and this has been loop for more than a year , i started a habit tracker log and i tracked it for more than a year and what i see is just lots of unchecked boxes . at first keeping up was the problem and now even starting feels though. i got entrance exam coming up in 2.5 months and i rarely know basic of it to be honest sometimes i feel like hell yeahh i'm gonna sort it all out , i'll change , transform i'll achieve things , i'll work hard but in the end it all seems to be a loop having no end just cycle being repeated.
i know nothing will work unless I do but seeking your guidance , please help me out.
