Rendering is real good! But I did notice the pic is a bit… Crunched down more than the ref? I have the same issue myself, tbf. But I do notice you pushed the perspective more which is really awesome ngl.

Oh, wow! That's actually kind of cool to learn about your process. I could def see this effect being used in some way in like a comic or animation. Not sure how, exactly, but I think there's potential for it symbolically too.

Great work! One note though, the soap holder "puddle" from the left over soap is a gradient in your art when soap doesn't act like that, it should be a bit closer to wax in appearance

I did not realize that was leftover soap tbh, but looking at it now I understand what you mean, I will try to fix it later 👍

Draw a lot, it really helps, I draw almost every two days, follow artists and observe how they work on shading and colors and use references for studying, learn about color theory if you can and post your art even if you don’t like that much, recently I opened a tiktok account and it gave me motivation to keep drawing so I can post regularly even when it’s flopping 🤌

How in the world did you do that? This is gorgeous. I've been admiring the detailing on the tiles, I think it's my favorite part of the picture

I took my time with it, kept adding layers of colors and blending until it came out like this, the tiles is my favorite part as well!

It's such an unusual reference but I kinda love it for that. it feels real. you really conveyed all the textures well, the tiles, the sink, the metal

How do you go about rendering each tile? Different layer for each one, or do you select each area/shape and render while its selected?
1
u/immnnot Aug 18 '26
I use a different layer for each one

u/XTALSKI Aug 18 '26
thx! Oh boy, now 200-500 layer limits don't sound so exaggerated...

u/immnnot Aug 18 '26
Yw! but I actually only used 7 layers for this one since Procreate limits the number of layers when you use a high-resolution canvas

This is amazing!! It has a very unique quality and feels like a cinematic from a video game especially as we’re peering over the shoulder!!

literally just stretch it and give it a grainy filter and it would look really similar lol, good job

I had to look twice to notice it was a painting, not a picture, so yes, I would say you got better at it.
Congratulations <3
