So I recently got back into the fangan space after like more than half a decade away, and decided to check out SDRA2 again since that was my first fangan. And a thought occurred to me while reminiscing:

Doesn't SDRA2 and Steel Ball Run kinda have the same...material conflict, so to speak? Spoilers: Both involve blonde men who want a corpse with divine luck and power so they can have their goals realized, and therefore create an event to facilitate the acquisition of said corpse you can even argue that them being foiled by someone who lost something precious to them (Sora her memories and Johnny his ability to walk) are kinda similar.

Maybe I'm just overthinking since the SBR anime recently continued. Still, funny to think about, considering Linuj's JoJo references in both games

Since Yamato has appeared, the box behind the text has been missing, and Yuki has been walking really slowly. I rarely use Reddit so I can't figure out how to add videos, I'm sorry.

I'm using EasyRPG and have restarted the game multiple times, even restarting my PC, but the problem still stands.

How can I solve this?

I hope this helps anyone stumbling upon this, but I doubt anyone will play the original game after the remake comes out lol. Still, I decided that it might be important information.

• Favorite 1st Game Characters: Kurokawa and Satsuki, Yamato and Haruhiko
  • Least Fav were Inori and Mitch
  • Least Fav wasBoth Nikei and Yuki until chapter 4, then I have no one I dislike
  • Least Fav wasBoth Nikei and Yuki until chapter 4, then I have no one I dislike
• Favorite 2nd Game Characters: Yoruko and Kanade, Shobai andTeruya
  • Least Fav wasBoth Nikei and Yuki until chapter 4, then I have no one I dislike
• Fav Trial: DA1 Trial 4, SDA2 Trial 3
• Fav Twists: Kinjo and his ideology or Akane/Utsuro true personalities in the first game. Losing trial 5 or watching our OGs get dropped on the intro to the game of game 2. Alter Ego Mikado was cool but I didn't go woahhh
• I liked the end to game 1 more, did feel a bit convoluted in the second game to me, and I did not enjoy the endless investigating late.
• Casts were great though I prefer the second one
• Sora > Yuki as a protag
• Favorite character developments: Rei and Kinjo getting shocked to their core by the killers of the trials was great. Rei warming up due to the sacrifice in trial 4 and Kinjo's hills and valleys after being tested by Kinji and later trials was awesome and made me fans of theirs. It wasn't as prevalent in the second game but Teruya stepping up after being the Iroha of sorts in his game was nice and Yuki locking in in game 2 I enjoyed.
• The trend across Danganronpa of Big, scary but lovable hunks that get to chapter 4 held true. Those sweethearts always deserve better
• Chapter 4 and 5 hurt my soul
• Divine Luck as a concept was so cool and since this game was awhile back, it was pretty innovative to have a

opposing side

• protag before Chunsoft did
• Made a dumb mistake in chapter 2 of SDRA2 of trying to find where a character was for socializing and when I saw their locations stopped showing up in that chapter, I was like Oh, well I thought you were endgame. Forgot what series I was playing and never went on the guide for help again. Who would've thought there was a skill for that ;-;
• Was my first fangan ever and I'm excited to see whatever comes next.
