Does anyone know what is up with the DANS portal? It’s been closed 2 days due to technical problems… I’ve been checking it daily since I wait for my response and I’m curious when it’s going to be reopened

Has anyone else been unable to connect to DTUSecure after having to change passwords? My DTU credentials are still accepted when using them everywhere else.

Hello, as the title states I am a bit confused on what's allowed to bring in to an "all aids except internet" exam.

Am I allowed to use locally stored software that can help calculate certain aspects of an exam?

I wanted to ask the good people of the internet before asking the study administration and or my teacher.

I saw that you're only allowed to bring one sheet of paper to the exam.

Has anyone taken the course, and would you recommend it?

Hi everyone!

I recently received an offer letter for the MSc in Computer Science and Engineering. I accepted the offer and paid my tuition fees through a bank transfer. I have also emailed them the payment receipt as proof of payment.

However, when I try to upload the receipt through the application portal, it shows that the portal is temporarily unavailable due to a technical issue.

As a non-EU student, I’m a little concerned and wanted to ask:

Has anyone else faced the same issue with the DTU application portal?

If you have already emailed the payment receipt, is that sufficient for now?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for DTU to respond to such issues or for the portal to become available again?

I just want to make sure my tuition fee payment is recorded correctly and that this technical issue won’t affect my admission process.

I’d really appreciate hearing about anyone’s experience or advice. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I(22 M) have a PhD interview at DTU some days from now. I was worried about the appropriate attire for the occasion. I am confused between formal trousers and shirt, and informal jeans and shirt. I am an EU student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Automation Engineering. I would like to apply for the MSc in Autonomous Systems at DTU. However, I lack the ECTS credits in Machine Learning and Statistics required for admission, as these topics are not covered at all in my current undergraduate program. Is there any chance I might still be admitted, or should I look into other options?

Hello. Does anyone have some advice on reading up on this exam? The content of the lecture seems fed up with a lot of "random" material that are not used directly used in the exercises, and the exercises also seem hard to base an exam upon. So any advice is appreciated.

I am an international student looking at the BSc in General Engineering at DTU. My ultimate goal is to go straight into the workforce after graduation and build a career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (hardware, circuits, etc.).

Since DTU doesn’t have a pure English-taught Bachelor's in Electronics, I am looking at the Cyber Systems or Future Energy tracks.

My questions for current students or graduates:

Does the curriculum in these tracks cover enough core electronics, circuit design, and hardware foundation to get hired in the electronics industry right after the Bachelor's degree?

Has anyone here successfully built a career in electrical or electronics engineering after graduating from this major? If so, I would love to hear about your experience.

I recently finished my MSc in Energy Engineering (Politecnico di Milano) and I’m looking into PhD opportunities in applied thermodynamics and energy storage (thermal and battery systems).

I wanted to ask people who have gone through the process at DTU: are PhD positions mostly filled through the vacancies published on the website, or is it also common (and welcome) to contact professors directly to ask whether they have new projects or funding coming up?

If it is fine to write to professors, is there anything you would recommend (what to include in the email, when to write, who to contact)?

Hi all, I am an EU Applicant, but I was wondering if anyone EU or no-EU from this intake or a previous ones, got into a eng masters at DTU with ECTS credits missing. If so could you brief your situation ?

I’ve applied for the MEng in Biomaterials engineering for medicine and the pharmaceutical design and engineering one. However, if you‘ve gotten into another eng masters without meeting the credit requirements fully, it would also be interesting to hear.

I’m looking for students who are currently doing their thesis and are almost done with writing. Since I’m also working on my thesis, one of my scenarios is to check whether students are writing their AI declaration sections properly (basically, AI checking your AI declaration part, lol).

So, I need a few students to test it. It won’t take much time, just use the agent, paste your AI declaration section, and check it. Then, when you have the final version, just check it again and send me the result (which is just a status line code).

That way, I don’t get access to any of your writing.

Hi everyone! I’ve been placed on the waiting list for DTU’s MSc in Biotechnology for the February 2027 intake. Does DTU usually admit students from the waiting list? Also, does anyone know approximately how many applicants are typically waitlisted?

Has anyone from the EU who applied to Biotechnology already received a decision, whether admission, waiting list or rejection? If so, when did you apply and when did you hear back?

Just curious since this is what I heard 2-3 years ago that companies "booked" CS new grads from DTU to work for them

Hi! I applied to a master at DTU with start the first of february.

In my home country, the academic year only offers one intake (in September/October), and courses are structured sequentially across two semesters. Since DTU offers two intake periods (September and February), I would like to clarify how the course rotation works.

Specifically, if a student starts in February, do the courses typically offered in the Autumn semester run again in the Spring semester, or are courses fixed to specific semesters (Autumn vs. Spring)? In other words, will I be able to take all required courses in my first semester, or will I need to wait until the Autumn semester for certain subjects?
