Discount Master Thread

You know the deal - dump all/any promo codes here for this month!

This thread is your one-stop-shop to post and search for promo codes, and will help keep the front page of the sub full of the things we love (pictures of perfectly matching A E R O kits) and fewer boring text posts.

This is a completely original idea and not borrowed from any of the more popular fashion subs.

Rules: If you’re posting a code, please tell us where it’s for and how much it will save us.

Referral codes ARE ALLOWED, just make sure the URL doesn’t doxx you (if you care about that)

If you’re using a code, please reply to the original comment once you’ve used the code; obviously for reusable referral codes, this won’t be necessary.

And uh, yeah, that’s pretty much it. Ride safe and look good doing it!

Hey - I'm Cody, Boise dude that never loved the lycra kit look on my casual road and gravel rides, but was tired of being confined to only bibs or a pack if I decided not to wear a jersey.

So I spent about 14 months tinkering and ended up filing for a patent.

It's got a sleeveless internal jersey that's connected to an outer snap button shirts. The side seam is breakaway with sewn in magnets the snap the outer shirt shut automatically when you remove your hand.

I successfully launched it on Kickstarter earlier this year with my brand Rowdee - but we've been all mtb and gravel so far. With bike tourers also loving it.

I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Would you rock this on a social ride?

I feel a bit geeky in my cycling outfit

I'm new to cycling and don't have a lot of experience wearing cycling clothing. Would getting a white helmet help things here? Or, do I look 'normal' and shouldn't worry about it?

Pas Normal Studios x Enough Cycling Italia Jersey - WTB

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi all,

I'm trying to track down the Pas Normal Studios x Enough Cycling Italia jersey from 2024, ideally in a size Large.

I've been keeping my beady eye on eBay and Vinted for quite a while now, but haven't had any luck finding one so turning to the power of Reddit...

Appreciate a bit of a long shot, but thought I'd try my luck here in case anyone has one they're willing to part with or knows where I might find one.

Happy to consider new or used, provided it's in good condition. I'm based in the UK but happy to arrange international shipping.

Cheers!

First kit ($32 Aliexpress special, DAREVIE)

Actually fits and looks quite nice (imo). Pretty impressed with the quality for the price ($32). Planning on buying more.

For reference:

- Height: 5'11"

- Weight: 200 lbs

- Size: Asian XXL

DAREVIE Jersey

It looks a little tight, maybe a little short in the arms, so maybe I'll go up a size? The bunching on the back is mainly from the rear pockets, I think.

Still waiting for my YKYWBIKE bibs to come in. Bought two tiers, $90 and $60.

[Question] Does anyone here have experience with bright colours for winter riding?

I really like the look of these light coloured bib tights, but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger with regards to mud and rain in winter and autumn? Are these just ruined after one ride?

YWYK long sleeve white and Darevie blue bibs - keep, send back ?

I ordered size S the shirt and size M the bibs. I'm 178cm for 63kg.

I think I'll keep the shirt. I wanted a long sleeve and to try white. I'll send the bibs back unless it's possible to work with that colour? Maybe with blue socks ? My shoes are white. Or buy black shoes ? My shoes are end of life anyway. The size is ok. And it.seems comfortable.

What do you think ?

What makes a club kit look “pro” vs homemade?

I design cycling kits for clubs and small brands, and I keep seeing the same pattern: some club kits look straight out of the peloton, others look like a sponsor logo dump.

Curious what you all think makes the difference. Is it fewer colors? Fewer sponsor logos? Matching bibs? Something else?

And what’s the worst kit design mistake you’ve seen on a group ride?

Can't choose between van rysel EDR and ykywbike bib shorts

I'm just getting into cycling and I can't decide at all between ykywbike (the basic bibs) or van rysel also looking at the siroko aspen and the black bibs. I'm looking to buy 2 pairs as a beginner since I know I will stick to cycling because I am a runner before I got injured. The thing is if I buy the basic ykywbike bibs I can also get 2 jerseys for 20€ more than if I chose van rysel but I also don't wanna spend 120€ and those bibs be useless after 2 washes because I am a 15y/o who is using a big chunk of his savings to start cycling.

Any advice is welcome!!! Thanks

London MAAP Jersey

Hi all! Just wondering if anyone near the London Maap store would be willing to grab me one and ship it to me in AUS. My husband is originally from London and loves cycling and I was just wanting to grab one for Christmas/birthday. Fully willing to pay RRP price and cover shipping. I am also going to melbourne end of November if you would prefer a trade

Thank you!

Do you mix cheap and expensive kit?

Every time I replace kit I end up buying one nice thing and cheap stuff for everything else. This round the nice thing was the Q36.5 Dottore bibs, and so far I actually like them more than my Rapha stuff, which I didn’t expect. They just hug me better and feel really comfortable once I’m on the bike.

The rest was boring: retired my old bibs and rebought another pair of Przewalski Classics, which have become my usual for short rides and the trainer. Cheap stuff gets thrashed indoors, the nice stuff comes out when I actually feel like it.

Is this a normal way to do it or am I just justifying the expensive one lol

Base layer?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I was thinking of this as a base layer, 86% merino wool and 14% polyamid, I want the wool mixed with something so it is more resistant and I always ride with a backpack so I don't do damage do my shirt

Biking to work - wear work clothes, or change at work?

My job is only like 4 miles from home and I'm thinking about biking to work sometimes. Should I just wear my work clothes on my road bike to bike to work? It's 'business casual' so think khakis or even clean jeans and a button down collar shirt or a polo shirt.

Or, should I wear my normal cycling outfit and change at work?

Long Sleeve for sunny cool day

I am wondering what to wear in this weather. I'm trying to avoid Lycra and other polyesters.

I've been wearing a thin Merino wool long sleeve "base layer" but I heard this is frowned upon. Not sure why because it's essentially a long sleeve shirt that wicks sweat and breathes.

Is rocacorba a good brand?

I don't see too many people around me with it and I see the brand mostly online, they've got some cool designs and would hate to spend money on something not worth it.
