Help with historical document

Post image

Trying to decipher this section of an ancestors document from 1876. Likely medical language, I’m especially stuck on the first word and the word after 3 days.
The end 100% says 14th May 1876. Pretty sure that could be sore throat on the first and second line as well?

Thank you!

Looks like diptheriatric sore throat and epistaxis, misspelled.

The word after 3 days is epistaxis (nosebleed) and the first word could have to do with Diphtheria, like Diptheritic sore throat.

Dypthiratic sore throat with epistasis

Nosebleed was secondary to Diptheria infection. Likely bled to death.

It's great news that we have an effective dyptheria vaccine so that we, in modern times don't have to die these awful deaths

So true! I am always a little sad when I find yet another 9 year-old girl who died of diphtheria. For some reason, in my family, it's always the little girls for some reason. I think I have found about 5 so far, between 1880 and 1930. So sad.
