Shedding help

Post image

My 7g crested gecko has a sleeve of stuck shed on the bottom half of her tail. It's been there for 2 days. (I finally managed to get a piece off her toe!).

I tried a 20-minute paper towel sauna, but she is way too flighty and stressed to let me gently roll it off with a wet Q-tip.

I put her back in her tank, boosted the humidity. If it's still stuck tomorrow, what is the best hands-off way to help her? Is it safe to dab on mineral oil or a shedding aid?

Yeah I would try shed ease. That is a bad piece of stuck shed. Double check your husbandry and nutrition provided is correct. Was the tank too dry for a long time?
