heating trouble :/

hello! so the top of my enclosure for my crested gecko is mesh and i don’t want to burn his feet. the rest is made of glass. what’s the best way to heat the enclosure without having something hot directly on top of the mesh?

any help would be greatly appreciated :) thanks :)

Clamp and a lamp stand are what I use. There’s stands that can mount to the wall or the side of your enclosure.

how would i clamp on something to this?

You can get ones that don’t clamp! There are some that are really tall that just slide under your tank. I believe there are also some that you can attach to the side with sticky material as well. I’ve used the ones that slide under before and they’ve worked great!

An alternative is getting a deep dome lamp so the light isn’t sitting on the metal. The mesh will get warm but shouldn’t get hot enough to burn this way.
