A week from election day in the U.S., here’s the Red Headed Stranger reminding us of our civic duty. This was originally released digitally in October 2018 per Discogs. Is anyone aware of a physical release?

I personally love it, as the lyrics and story talk about a man who is touring out West, and when I hear about Montana or Albuquerque, I just get chills, as I have spent time out West before, and the mention of any of the Wild Western states just gets to me in a positive way. Whenever I hear that song, I just picture the moments from the time I spent out West, especially California, and Utah, with the mountains and desert like terrain. It truly hits differently when you hear a song that talks all about a place you have spent time in, and actually experienced, and the Wild West is just amazingly cool.

Who are the best guitarists within Country music? In terms of technical skill and/or songwriting capabilities. I am a predominantly a fan of Rock and Metal music and there are many "guitar gods."
Guitar wise I do have a particular liking to Dwight Yoakam.
Edit: I learned of Pete Anderson's contribution to Dwight Yoakam. Appreciate it.

I find it fascinating when artists turn songs that were definitively not country into country… “Shameless” by Billy Joel/Garth Brooks, “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman/Luke Combs, “The Fever” by Aerosmith/Garth Brooks, “Summertime Blues” by Eddie Cochran/Alan Jackson, “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails/Johnny Cash… the list goes on. I think a LOT of Ed Sheeran songs could be country songs with a change in production, “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars has been covered by Thomas Rhett and recently I saw Kenny Whitmire post a cover of it that is phenomenal… even Coldplay has a few songs that could make the transition.

It’s been 2 months since we lost one of the most precious voices of Country Music.
The Heart still aches, Dolly’s songs feel more personal & emotionally heavier. Yet somehow her voice & the music ease that heaviness.
This is just a short tribute I had written for Dolly.
Listening to “I Will Always Love You” for the first time could leave you tearful within seconds of it touching your heart.
The atmosphere as the song begins is delicate, with a gentle melody that creates a feeling of warmth and intimacy.
The soothing guitar licks, along with the softer drum fills, settle the air around you.
Dolly’s voice comes in with a warm and silky smoothness, wrapping itself around you.
As the song sways ahead into the chorus, it feels like snowflakes gently falling over you, especially when Dolly sings the line that feels like all those hidden emotions wanting to come out, as she holds that final note of “I Will Always Love You.”
It’s like you’re in a fairytale of its own. When the instruments and Dolly’s voice come together at the end, it leaves you wanting to stay in this magical world of The Queen of Country Music herself.
Rest easy, Dolly. We will always love you.

This band is heavily featured on one MC cassette my grandpa had, but I have not been able to find any info about them online. I am aware that the songs weren't written by them, just sung, but I'd like to know who was behind the band.
I'm pretty new to country, I only started listening because I recently bought an old car with a cassette player radio and found some cassettes after my grandpa. The music is awesome and I'd like to know more about it.
Link to the cassettes:

Roger Miller passed away on this day back in 92. I recently discovered his music, and he’s one of my favorite artists currently. I heard “Footprints in the Snow” on the radio and was instantly hooked. What are some of your favorite songs or memories about him?

Came across this picture posted by John Carter Cash. He said it was taken in Kentucky around 1980 or '81.
