Hello, I am new to the area and I am looking for where to go for clubs / bar vibes this weekend? My friends and I are 22-25 so something on the younger side preferably. No big deal if there’s a cover!

Getting into Columbus by bus late at night. Should i just uber to Westerville at a waffle house or sum? Or should i just wait for the cmax to take me. My main concern is being alone at night in downtown. I have zero idea how y’all’s bus system works im used to the dayton rta

I just have a lot of original upholstery vintage furniture and I’m more than willing to relive the era of guests sticking to the sofa.
Thanks!

I know, water is wet so janky-ness at this location isn’t surprising, but I’ve never been short changed by the machine. $4 in change on my first $5, $3.75 on my next $5. Does anyone know of a formal complaint number for this sort of thing? Not the business, I assume that is pointless. Thanks!

Trump isn't on the ballot in November, but Trumpism sure is. Early voting in Ohio is open now through November 1st, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Vote early and in person if you can, and bring a friend or family member. The sooner the better, because anything can happen: illness, car trouble, a family emergency, or this administration pulling a fast one on DEMOCRACY. Bonus: campaigns can see who has already voted (not how). Once you vote, they take you off their call, text and door-knock lists, and your candidates can put that money and those volunteers toward people who haven't voted yet. Fewer texts for you, more help where it counts.

I am looking for a new OBGYN in Columbus for normal women’s health needs but I am also thinking I may have endometriosis because I have had gastrointestinal issues and every gastro doctor I have seen says it is just IBS-C. They don’t know the root cause so I am wondering if it is another issue like endometriosis. Any recommendations would be great!

Maybe this is too niche, but are there any notable stores that resell kitchen and cooking equipment? I've browsed thrift stores but was curious if there are any better places for something like this?
Looking for a handful of semi-specific items, like a decent quality food processor.
Edit : I'm not on FB and don't care to create an account for that. Hoping for some kind of actual retail store preferably.

I’ve been emailing nationwide in attempt to obtain my medical records. I recieved my records but when i checked the box to receive photos they didn’t provide any. I was specifically looking for the intake documentation photos they took of me upon arrival to the mental hospital. for context i was a minor (14) at the time and they made me strip to my underwear and bra and a male nurse with a digital camera took numerous photos of me in that position and they explained it was for documentation of my injuries and scars so they couldn’t be held liable if i occurred any new injuries. I’m now an adult but i’ve sent follow up emails looking for these photos, yet they’re saying that they are no photos available for the dates i requested. I know the dates are correct, yet they’re acting like these photos don’t exist. Im extremely uncomfortable with the fact photos of me in that position are out there, yet i don’t have access to them and i don’t know who does. Did anyone else have this experience? Is there a way I can obtain these? It’s pretty distressing thinking about who has these and what’s been done with them if they’re not willing to release them to me.

I’ve heard it’s for “safety” but people are always going to be celebrating Halloween, no matter the day of the week.
EDIT: I moved here from the West Coast where Halloween was always on Halloween, October 31st. It quite messed up the Halloween fun to be expected to celebrate Halloween before the holiday. I honestly don’t care about football, high school or college, and that being a big reason for the early trick or treat is silly to me 😂 As for drunk driving, that happens every day. It’s all arbitrary. Halloween is on Halloween!

"I disagree with the characterization that Issue 9 is nothing more than an attempt by politicians to hold onto their power... It is not perfect, but neither is Issue 8. Issue 9 addresses real concerns, including from Black community and faith leaders about racial representation under the current maps, and labor leaders who worry about how to address city-wide public infrastructure needs under a district-only system... Personally, I will vote yes on both Issues 8 and 9." Vogel said.

My partner and I found a stray dog the other day on I-70... She doesn't appear injured other than a small limp in her back left leg, but no bones appear broken... The limp has almost completely subsided today.
She's not spayed and appears to have had a recent litter given her nipples are large. Otherwise, appears in good health, listened to her belly, heart, and lungs, and all appar to check out... We dewormed her, washed/killed all the fleas on her, given her a flea and tick medication, the works.
If anyone is willing/able to adopt her, we'll provide 4 months of the flea/tick/worm medication along with some other basic amenities.
She appears to be decently housebroken, only having a few accidents at first either out of stress, or some mild scent marking due to other dogs in the house.
She's an ABSOLUTE sweetheart and just wants to snuggle and be with you. She'll win your heart over in an instant. Feel free to DM me if you or anyone you know is able to give her a good home. (As soon as possible please, we'd keep her if our current dog wasn't reactive 😭)
We named her Strelka cause her eye patch looks exactly like the Russian space dog Strelka (Strelka and Belka mission)

hi all im a 27 (f) thinking of moving to c-bus. I lived in Bexley when I was 14… a long time ago. I always admired C-bus and been thinking about moving back. I’m from LA and would be moving once I finish my MSW in May. How are social work jobs there? COL? Black community? I’m not worried about the winters! So pls no comments about that lol.

I'm going to try to vote early tonight after work, but probably won't make it up there until 6:30-7pm. I know they close at 7:30p tonight (Wed.). Just wondering how the lines have been for people late day? TIA.

I have to drive to the south side of town late morning. Does anyone have any idea the timing of them landing and the motorcade going to
Chillicothe? Want to avoid sitting traffic and especially for that guy. Want to preserve my peace and sanity today. Thanks!

The poll ran from 10/21-10/26, 500 likely voters. 72% (360) of those were aware of the ad:
Nearly three-quarters of those polled, 72%, had seen or heard about the ad within days of its release. But it changed few minds. Seven respondents said the ad caused them to switch from Ramaswamy to Acton. Only one respondent said the ad caused them to switch from Acton to Ramaswamy.

Fairly simple repair, I assume, but I’m not the expert, Lol. We live just north of 270.
Brace yourself as I fudge up all the terminology in describing what’s wrong…
Bathroom outlet no longer works because both bathroom outlets are on the same “circuit”?, and I was running a blow dryer while someone downstairs was running a vacuum.
Reset the “breaker”?, multiple times, however the outlet power flashes back on but won’t stay on.
Really need someone with evening appts (3:30 or later?) because I’m about to give birth and I’ve missed 9999 days of work already for my so many appts..Lol
Thanks in advance, kind folks

This bill says water usage was 67.749 CCF and sewage usage was 72.749 CCF. Going back to August 2024, my average CCF has always been well under 20.
For context, my September bill was $56.66 and my August bill was $44.44. When it was quarterly billing prior to that, I was usually between $160-$180.
1600ish sq ft single family home I’ve lived in since 2019. No signs of leaks. No in ground sprinkler system/I’ve never once watered my lawn. No pool. I probably shower less often than I should. Got the new digital meter thingy installed this summer (June or July, maybe?)
Any advice for someone (a plumber?) I can call to confirm no leaks? Anyone else have something like this with the City of Columbus? What was the cause/how did you fix it?

Hi Columbus,
Out of towner here. I am staying downtown of course and noticed several established oyster bars. I’m surprised and intrigued. What is the connection with Columbus to this kind of seafood? I am a Midwesterner and never thought good fresh oyster were easy to find so far inland. Is there a history here?
Also - what are your recommendations? Which ones should I try?
Thanks in advance!

On the side of the road on 62 by Blacklick this morning, you are a terrible person. A car three cars ahead of me took a dog out of their car, I am assuming theirs, and dumped her in someone's yard. They put her far enough in the yard and then went back to their car and took off. She started running after them along the road. There were so many cars. I pulled off and grabbed her. I was sure she was going to get hit. It was all very sad.
I was on my way to work and took her back home. Fortunately, my husband is working from home today and my inlaws are in town. We will probably take her to Franklin County Dog Shelter which opens at 10:00 unless someone else has a better suggestion? She seems very sweet. I think she is a French Bulldog.
