All Halloween: https://regulars.in/palm-springs/search?q=halloween
All Día de los Muertos: https://regulars.in/palm-springs/search?q=dia%20de%20los%20muertos
There are some events that may not show up under the Halloween and Día de los Muertos tags, so it helps to peruse the site feed. (I'm working on a calendar selector, bear with me while I get it set up.) And lmk if I missed any so that I can add them. Thanks!

I need tips as a first time server at a country club
I start my new server job on Monday and I’m so nervous I could throw up. It’s my first time being a server and working in a country club, I just wanted to know if anyone can give any advice as a first timer, or maybe even give me some insight on what the country club clientele is like out here in the Valley?
I was expo and a food runner at my previous job for 6 months, I also dealt with a lot of to go orders so I feel like I have a general idea about serving? Like putting orders in in a timely manner, checking on tables and making sure their drinks are filled and the tables are cleared of the dirty dishes, etc. but what are some other important things I should know?
Any help is appreciated!

Tower Market - $1 million to Trump
- TL;DR Tower Market owners donated $1,048,506 to Trump, MAGA, and other Republican causes
I've been wondering why Tower Market's gas prices are so high, so I looked into where their profits go.
The Rogers family owns Tower Market (through Tower Energy Group).
FEC individual contributions 2020-2026:
- Tim Rogers: $405,500.00
- Twanna Rogers: $423,833.34
- John Rogers: $219,173.33
- Source: US Government https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions
As it turns out, Tim Rogers, Twanna Rogers, and John Rogers are all MAGA mega donors.
Since 2020, the Rogers family has donated at least $1,048,506 to Trump, MAGA, and other Republican causes.
Learning this has changed how much my family shops at Tower Market. I thought I would share this information so others can make more informed decisions too.
In case anyone isn't familiar, this is Tower Market: https://www.yelp.com/biz/tower-market-palm-springs-2 they have 9 locations (all in the valley).
EDIT:
Here's one (of many) public government documents from the FEC website: https://docquery.fec.gov/cgi-bin/fecimg/?202006199240018674
That document shows that ROGERS, TWANNA is the OWNER of TOWER ENERGY and made a single $62,500 donation to TRUMP VICTORY.

Where to take a toddler trick-or-treating on Halloween good neighborhoods?
Looking to take my 3 1/2 year-old trick-or-treating for the first time. Where we live, she is the only kid and we are the only people who have Halloween decorations up in range of Mirage. I would love to take her somewhere pretty early around 5:30 if anyone has any recommendations that would be fantastic. I would prefer to stay in the Rancho Mirage Palm Desert area.. thanks everyone

Seeking neighborhood advice, looking to move. Also, crime maps?
Hello,
My family (my wife, baby, and I) is looking to move to the area and will be renting. We are looking at small homes in the Indio, Coachella, La Quinta, and Palm Desert area. While we are both somewhat familiar with the area, much of that time has been visiting people in gated communities who are insulated from life outside the gates. So their judgement of the local community is somewhat skewed and may not be a great representation. We wouldn't be opposed to living in a gated community ourselves, but I'm not sure if that is within our budget of less than $3k. So I'm seeking opinions here.
The ability for my wife to take local evening walks with the child in a stroller and feel comfortable is a big plus. Personally, I like neighborhoods that are good for joggers, and bonus points if there are parks that cater to calisthenic workouts. The Palm Desert Civic Center is enjoyable in this regard. We are moving from an area of LA County where walks often entail passing by the random, unpredictable, ranting and raving homeless person. Similarly, when visiting our nearest 7-11, expect a group of people to press you for change and/or free shit. While we are used to this, avoiding it would be a plus. We also deal with cars and mailboxes being broken into, even when in a garage. Once again, used to this sort of thing, but getting away from it would be nice. Not trying to go from one hood to another where we need to keep absolutely anything of value out of the car because it will get you a smashed window and your things taken.
Any neighborhood recommendations? A few places have been in the Cove, but I know absolutely nothing about the area other than some gossip from people who never lived there and just drive through it. Is it good? Bad? Vary heavily block to block?
Lastly, does anyone know of a decent crime map for the area so we can see spots to steer clear of? It looks like LexisNexis doesn't receive any reported data from local police agencies. Similarly, the Citizen app suspiciously shows nothing, but some power outages and FF/EMT activity. While I don't use the app often because of the fear mongering (like Nextdoor does as well), it usually is reliable to see where shit is going down. Are there other sources to see police activity?
Thanks in advance, potential future neighbors.
