TOS And then there were TWO.
The passing of Walter Koenig leaves just Shatner and Takei as the last surviving members of the TOS cast. And Shatner has only his hatred of George to fuel his desire of outliving him. Itâs fitting it would come down to them considering their decades long feud. Who will be last man standing?

TOS I got to meet Chekov
I met the main characters of the original Star Trek, aside from Kirk and Spock, at a Star Trek convention in the early seventies. Got some autographs and my recollection was that everybody was super nice. Definitely one of my favorite shows growing up

TOS Films Walterâs performance is key to Wrath of Khanâs effectiveness
Koenigâs performance in Wrath of Khan efficiently sells the filmâs villain before he appearsââBotany Bay? [beat] Botany Bay! Oh no!â
He then goes on to quickly exposit all casual viewers need to know about âSpace Seedâ: âA criminal. A product of late 20th-century genetic engineering.â This quickly leads to a memorably fierce exchange: âYou lie! On Ceti Alpha V there was life, a fair chanceââ which sets up Montalban for his first explosion of the titular emotion.
He shows Chekhovâs undaunted courage and again summarizes Khanâs true nature by pointing out his treachery: âCaptain Kirk was your host. You repaid his hospitality by trying to steal his ship and murder him!â
Then when the exchange turns into literal tortureâwell, Walter could deliver a hell of a convincing scream.
RIP.
